NHTSA Complaint #11648380 — 2019 FORD FLEX

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Flex. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign number: 24V951000 (BACK OVER PREVENTION); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that upon shifting the vehicle into reverse(R), the rear-view camera displayed a distorted image, compromising the back-over prevention system. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, the navigation screen showed a black screen and showed half of an image while displayed. No warning lights were illuminated. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000. VIN tool confirms part not available.
