Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact stated that the vehicle stalled. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a cracked flex plate within the engine. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHSTA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 122,000.
