NHTSA Complaint #11601208 — 2013 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while his wife was driving 50 MPH, the driver's side door opened unexpectedly. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The mechanic referred the contact to the dealer for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHSTA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 153,000.
