The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated the rear passenger’s side door failed to latch close or lock as intended. The contact used excessive force on the latch to open the rear passenger’s side door. There was no warning light illuminated. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
