Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the contact attempted to depress the brake pedal, but the brakes failed to function properly. The contact was able to continue to drive the vehicle to the residence, but the failure persisted. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was diagnosed with vacuum pump failure. The contact was informed that the vacuum pump needed to be replaced. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 117,876.
