NHTSA Complaint #11575376 — 2015 FORD EDGE

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle independently turned off. The contact heard an abnormal rattling sound coming from the engine compartment. The contact stated that the check engine warning light illuminated but did not remain illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that sometimes the vehicle failed to start. The contact researched and discovered TSB: 22N12; however, the contact was advised that the failure was unable to be duplicated without a fault code being displayed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.
