NHTSA Complaint #11549452 — 2017 FORD FUSION HYBRID

The contact owns a 2017 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, she heard an abnormal sound at the hood of the vehicle. No warning lights was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the contact stated that two years later the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that there were no programs to assist with the repair. The failure mileage was approximately 115,000.
