NHTSA Complaint #11537011 — 2015 FORD F-250

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-250. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the diesel particulate filter (DPF) had failed, and the failure was related to Ford Campaign Number: 20M06-2. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer, who informed the contact that the vehicle was not covered under the Campaign. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 111,000.
