The contact stated that while the vehicle was at the dealer for routine maintenance, the dealer informed the contact that the lug nuts needed to be replaced due to the lug nut edges being rounded. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact had safety concerns if the vehicle had a flat tire in a rural area or in cold weather conditions where the lug nuts could not be removed with a lug wrench to replace a flat tire.
