Consumer Description

DRIVING ALONG THE ROAD AT <30MPH WHEN SUDDENLY THE POWER STEERING SERVICE NOW LIGHT CAME ON AND THE POWER STEERING COMPLETELY WENT OUT. THANK GOODNESS IT HAPPENED ON A SIDE ROAD AND NOT 5 MINUTES LATER WHEN WE WERE GETTING ON THE FREEWAY. THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. SEARCHED THE ISSUE ONLINE AND FOUND HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE. THEN CALLED FORD (CASE # CAS86858), AND THEY DO NOT HAVE A RECALL FOR THE 2010 (BUT THEY DO FOR THE 2011 AND ABOVE). PLEASE ISSUE THE RECALL TO INCLUDE THE 2010 AS WELL. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND IS A HUGE COST TO THE FORD OWNERS.
