TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 FORD WINDSTAR. THE CONTACT STARTED HER VEHICLE AND WHILE IT HAD POWER IT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE OR SHIFT INTO REVERSE. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED BY A LOCAL WHO STATED THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THE FAILURE WAS A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND REFERRED HER TO NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 86,000. ...UPDATED 04/25/13 *BF
