MY CAR IS 2 WEEKS OLD WITH 400 MILES ON THE CAR. SINCE THE ODOMETER HAD APROX 100 MILES ON IT THE CAR HAS BEEN HAVING A ISSUE WITH STALLING WHEN COMING TO A STOP. IN THE PAST 2 WEEKS IT HAS STALLED APROX 26 TIMES WHEN COMING TO A STOP. I HAVE BROUGHT THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THIS ISSUE BECAUSE THE CAR STALLED 3 TIMES IN A 15 MILE DRIVE ON THE FREEWAY IN BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC. THE CAR IS VERY UNPREDICTABLE AS TO WHEN IT WILL DECIDE TO STALL BUT BECOMES A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION WHEN COMMUTING ON THE FREEWAY AND IT DECIDES TO STALL. THE CAR IS A MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DOES NOT HAVE THE AUTO START STOP FUNCTION BUT STALLS OUT WHEN COMING TO A STOP. I HAVE INFORMED THE DEALERSHIP THAT THIS CAR IS VERY DANGEROUS TO HAVE MY FAMILY OR...
2019 VW GLI MANUAL TRANSMISSION STALLS UNPREDICTABLY WHEN SLOWING DOWN WITH THE CLUTCH DEPRESSED AND/OR THE TRANSMISSION IN NEUTRAL. THIS HAS HAPPENED INFREQUENTLY, BUT UNPREDICTABLY. SO FAR IT HAS ONLY RESULTED IN HORN BLOWING FROM THE CAR BEHIND, BUT IF IT WERE TO HAPPEN WHEN TURNING IN FRONT OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC IT WOULD BE VERY BAD. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING MANUAL FOR 44 YEARS - IT IS NOT OPERATOR ERROR. THIS IS THE SAME ISSUE AS ODI DP 19-003. STARTED AT VERY LOW MILES, HAPPENED MOST RECENTLY AT ABOUT 2,500 MILES.
MY 2019 JETTA BEGAN EXPERIENCING BREAKING PROBLEMS IN LESS THAN 2 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE. AFTER INITIAL START AND DRIVE AT IDLE, THE BREAKING PEDAL PRESSURE WAS ERRATIC AND CAUSING THE CAR TO SLAM TO A COMPLETE STOP. THIS CONDITION ONLY SEEMS TO OCCUR AT IDLE, AND I WAS TOLD AT BRINGING IT INTO SERVICE THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING NORMALLY. HOWEVER, THE CONDITION CONTINUES TO EXIST AND BEGINNING IN JUNE, I BEGAN HAVING MULTIPLE CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS FOR A EVAP LEAK. NOW AT THE 7 REPAIRS AND HAVING MULTIPLE PARTS REPLACED, THE SERVICE AT THE DEALERSHIP STATES THAT THE AIR INTAKE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. MY UNDERSTANDING IS THE AIR INTAKE AND VACUUM SYSTEMS HAVE A DIRECT CORRELATION WITH THE BRAKE BOOSTER PRESSURE. HOWEVER, I RETURNED THE VEHICLE FOR SERVICE BECAUSE THE READINESS MONITORS FOR THE EVAP WERE NOT SET, INDICATING THAT A POTENTIAL ISSUES STILL EXIST. ALTHOUGH...
ON 9/26/2019 I WAS DRIVING MY 2019 JETTA SE WITH 1,187.8 MILES ON MAIN STREET IN SANTA ANA AROUND 5:50 PM. I WAS ON THE FAR LEFT LANE AT A FULL STOP AND PROCEEDED AT LOW SPEEDS ONTO THE LEFT-TURNING LANE. AS I CONTINUED TO PULL UP ONTO THE LEFT-TURNING A LANE A VERY LOUD METALLIC RATTLING/SCRAPING NOISE WAS HEARD THROUGHOUT THE CABIN COMING FROM I SUSPECT THE TRANSMISSION. I EVEN WAS ABLE TO FEEL THE RATTLING FROM THE BRAKE PEDDLE AS I STILL HAD MY FOOT ON THE PEDDLE. I LOOKED AROUND TO SEE IF ANY OTHER DRIVERS NOTICED AS IT WAS VERY LOUD. I MADE AN EFFORT TO CHECK ON THE ROAD TO CONFIRM THAT THERE WAS NO METALLIC DEBRIS THAT I MAY HAVE RUN OVER. NONE WAS FOUND. I ALSO CHECKED UNDER MY CAR TO SEE IF ANYTHING WAS UNDER THE ENGINE AND CAN CONFIRM NOTHING WAS...
VEHICLE STALLS WHEN CLUTCH IS DEPRESSED, PLACED BACK INTO NEUTRAL, WHEN COMING TO A STOP. THE STALLING HAPPENS MORE FREQUENTLY AFTER THE CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN FOR 15-30 MINUTES. STALL OCCURS WHIL ROLLING TO A STOP
2019 JETTA GLI 6MT. CAR WILL STALL WHEN COMING TO A STOP IN FIRST, SECOND, AND NEUTRAL. WHEN IN NEUTRAL, CLUTCH CAN BE EITHER IN OR OUT TO REPLICATE ISSUE. HAS HAPPENED WHEN COASTING TO A STOP AT <10 MPH, AS WELL AS WHEN AT A STOP. TYPICALLY TAKES 2-5 SECONDS FOR CAR TO SHUT DOWN. CAR CURRENTLY HAS ~600 MILES ON IT, HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE I GOT THE CAR DELIVERED (TOOK DELIVERY AT 300 MILES DUE TO DEALERSHIP DELIVERING CAR TO MY HOUSE).
THE CAR HAS STALLED MULTIPLE TIMES WITH THE CLUTCH DEPRESED TO THE FLOOR AND IN NEUTRAL OR SHIFTING FROM SECOND OR THIRD TO NEUTRAL WHILE COMING TO A STOP.
THE PROBLEM IS WITH MY 2019 MANUAL TRANSMISSION GLI. EVEN WHEN THE CLUTCH IS ENGAGED, (FOOT ON THE CLUTCH) AND THE CAR IS COMING TO A HALT, THE CAR STOPS/STALLS. THIS ISSUE OCCURS RANDOMLY, BUT ONCE IT STARTS, IT KEEPS HAPPENING, UNTIL RANDOMLY THE ISSUE STOPS SHOWING UP. BECAUSE OF THE APPARENT RANDOMNESS OF WHEN THE ISSUE SHOWS UP, I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CONVINCE THE SERVICE FOLKS.
VEHICLE STALLS WHILE COMING TO A STOP. THE ISSUE HAS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES AND I'VE ONLY HAD THE VEHICLE TWO WEEKS. THE CLUTCH PEDAL IS DEPRESSED THE ENTIRE TIME AND THE VEHICLE HAS TO BE MANUALLY STARTED AGAIN.
CAR CONSTISTENTLY STALLS WHEN COMING TO A STOP. WILL STALL EVEN IN NEUTRAL WITH THE CLUTCH DEPRESSED. WILL DRIVE FINE SOMETIMES AND SOMETIMES IT WILL STALL 15+ TIMES IN A SINGLE TRIP. IT HAS ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT WHEN TRYING TO TURN IN AN INTERSECTION MULTIPLE TIMES NOW. STARTED AROUND 1,200 MILES ON THE CAR AND HAPPENS FREQUENTLY.
JETTA 2019 MAKES A GRINDING NOISE WHEN PUTTING THE GEAR ON REVERSE(MANUAL CAR). EVEN IF STATIONERY FOR MORE THAN 3 SECONDS IT MAKES A GRINDING NOISE. THERE IS SOMETHING DEFECTIVE ON THE CAR THAT THE DEALERSHIP IS HIDING FROM ME. I DONT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE CAR KNOWING ITS DEFECTIVE
I OWN A 2019 MANUAL JETTA GLI 35 ANNIVERSARY. WHILE SLOWING DOWN TO A STOP LIGHT, STOP SIGN ETC.. THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF AT SLOW SPEEDS. CAR IS NOT EQUIPPED WITH START/STOP FEATURE DUE TO HAVIING A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. I HAVE TO START CAR BACK UP BEFORE TAKING BACK OFF FROM LIGHT. MAJOR RISK OF ME GETTING REAR ENDED AT A STOP LIGHT AND OR STOP SIGN. APPARENTLY VOLKSWAGEN CANNOT FIGURE OUT ISSUE. HAVE SEEN 100'S OF PEOPLE WITH BRAND NEW VW'S HAVING THIS PROBLEM.

THIS HAPPENED ON CITY STREETS AND IN PARKING LOTS, PUTTING MYSELF AND MY FAMILY IN DANGER. UNSURE OF ISSUE, BUT DOCUMENTED WITH VIDEO FOOTAGE. NO ENGINE LIGHTS APPEARED. THIS HAPPENED 20 OR MORE TIMES YESTERDAY, AND ONE TIME 2 WEEKS AGO.

THIS HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING AND THE CAR WAS PLACED IN NEUTRAL DESCENDING DOWN A HILL IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. THIS ALSO HAPPEN AT A STOP LIGHT AND STOP SIGN. ALL THREE INCIDENTS HAPPEN IN THE SAME DAY. VERY CONCERNED WITH MY FAMILIES SAFETY. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A KNOWN ISSUE WITH VW.
THIS IS A BRAND NEW MANUAL TRANSMISSION JETTA GLI WITH ONLY 160 MILES. AFTER DRIVING FOR ABOUT 16 MINUTES AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS ON THE EXPRESSWAY, THE CAR QUIETLY STALLED OUT WHILE COMING TO A STOP ON AN EXIT RAMP. I RESTARTED THE CAR, DROVE TO A STOPLIGHT ABOUT A MINUTE AWAY AND AFTER COMING TO A STOP AT THAT LIGHT THE CAR STALLED AGAIN. WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE ONCE AGAIN AND DRIVE OFF. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION IF THE CAR WAS TO STALL IN THE MIDDLE OF A TURN OR AT HIGH SPEED ON AN EXPRESSWAY.
THE ENGINE OF MY NEW 2019 JETTA GLI 6MT SOMETIMES STALLS WHEN COMING TO A STOP. THE CLUTCH PEDAL IS FULLY DEPRESSED (DISENGAGED), WITH THE STICK EITHER IN 1ST OR NEUTRAL. THIS HAPPENED 3 OR 4 TIMES YESTERDAY, AUG 1 2019, AFTER DRIVING WITH MEDIUM SPEEDS ON HILLY ROADS FOR 30-45 MINUTES. THE VEHICLE HAS AROUND 350 MILES ON IT.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION HAVE GROANING AND GROWLING SOUNDS AT GEAR 4,5, AND 7. VERY LOUD AT TIMES. ALSO THERE SEEMS TO BE SOME HESITATION TO ACCELERATE. VW KNOWS ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND IS DOING NOTHING. MOREOVER, VW KNOWS IT'S THE TORQUE CONVERTER AS THEY SENT OUT A SOFTWARE UPDATE TO UNSOLD JETTA'S TO DEALERS BUT AREN'T DOING ANYTHING TO ALREADY SOLD JETTAS. ONLY SAYING THESE NOISES ARE NORMAL. THIS DEFECTIVE CONVERTER IS ON HUNDREDS OR EVEN THOUSANDS OF JETTA AND EVERYONE IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. IT'S DANGEROUS AND A SAFETY ISSUE.AND DAMAGING THE TRANSMISSION

ENGINE STALLING ON NEW VEHICLE. TWO EVENTS OCCURRED IN ONE NIGHT, 7/23/2019, WITH ABOUT 790 AND 801 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. IN BOTH CASES, THE CLUTCH WAS DISENGAGED WHILE BRAKING AND SLOWING TO APPROACH A TURN. THE ENGINE WAS UNDER NO LOAD AND SHOULD HAVE RETURNED TO IDLE WHEN I DISENGAGED THE CLUTCH. ENGINE STOPPED RUNNING AND HAD TO BE RE-STARTED VIA THE STARTER BUTTON. MY VEHICLE IS A 2019 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA GLI, 6-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND 2.0 LITER TURBO ENGINE.

THE FIRST OCCURRENCE HAPPEN AT APPROXIMATELY 100 MILES ON THE ODOMETER, WITH THE SECOND AT AROUND 120 MILES. THE VEHICLE SHOWED NO PREEMPTIVE SIGNS OF A STALL, AND NECESSITATED A FULL RE-IGNTIION OF THE ENGINE IN ORDER TO PROCEED OUT OF TRAFFIC. THIS HAPPENS REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE VEHICLE IS IN GEAR, IF THE CLUTCH IS FULLY PRESSED TO THE FLOOR, OR IF THE VEHICLE IS IN NEUTRAL. THIS SEEMS TO HAPPEN MORE FREQUENTLY WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONING IS TURNED ON. THE VEHICLE IS EITHER SLOWING TO A STOP OR HAS COME TO A COMPLETE STOP WHEN THIS HAPPENS. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY AND IN THE DRIVEWAY. I AM AFRAID THIS WILL HAPPEN IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.
WHILE IN NEUTRAL, THE ENGINE SHUDDERED A LITTLE AND THEN CUT OFF. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. MOST RECENTLY I WAS STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION WHILE I HAD TO RESTART MY CAR.
CHECK OIL LEVEL LIGHT/WARNING BELL CAME ON. LET THE CAR COOL, WENT OUT TO CHECK THE OIL WITH THE DIPSTICK, WAS VERY LITTLE OIL IN THERE !WENT TO THE AUTO PARTS STORE , CHECKED IT AGAIN, AND THIS TIME THE OIL WAS BACK. CAR WAS OK FOR 2 DAYS THEN LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN.
1. FIRST ISSUE IS THE CAR RUNNING LOW ON OIL BEFORE IT REACHES THE 10K MILE MARK. THIS CAR SHOULD BE GETTING AN OIL CHANGE EVERY 10K MILES HOWEVER IT WILL RUN OUT OF OIL BEFORE THE 10K MARK IS ACHIEVED. 2. THERE IS A GRINDING NOISE AT ABOUT 30MPH THAT SEEMS TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH THE GEAR CHANGE. THEREFORE, I BELIEVE THIS PARTICULAR ISSUE IS TRANSMISSION RELATED. THIS PARTICULAR ISSUE HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE THE CAR WAS FIRST PURCHASED.
ALL SENSORS INCLUDING AIRBAG AND ABS REPORTED ERRORS. VW REPRESENTATIVE OVER THE PHONE SAID IT DOES NOT SOUND SAFE TO DRIVE. DEALERSHIP CLAIMED NO ISSUES FOUND WITH THE VEHICLE. RATTLING SOUND WHICH IS PERSISTENT AFTER VW INSTALLED A SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTING GEARS. WHILE THE ENGINE RUNNING AND CHANGED FROM PARK TO REVERSE, THE CAR ROLLED FORWARD AND TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT RESPOND TO ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE. VEHICLE ROLLED INTO A POLE WHICH STOPPED IT FROM MOVING FORWARD WHILE IN REVERSE. ALL PHOTO AND VIDEO DOCUMENTED. VOLKSWAGEN CLAIMS THIS PROOF DOES NOT MATTER BECAUSE 'THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THERE IS ALSO A RESIDUE FROM MANUFACTURING ON THE WINDSHIELD WHICH THEY HAVE ATTEMPTED MULTIPLE TIMES TO REMOVE, AND THE ISSUE IS STILL PERSISTENT. THEY REFUSE TO REPLACE THE WINDSHIELD OR ADMIT THE PROBLEM IS FROM MANUFACTURING. MULTIPLE TRIPS TO HAVE THE VEHICLE SERVICED...

MY BRAND NEW VEHICLE HAS BEEN STALLING. ENGINE STRUGGLES TO TURN ON AFTER ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS DOWN. VEHICLE STATES THAT THE AIR TEMPERATURE CONTROL SENSOR IS MALFUNCTIONING AND VEHICLE COMPLETELY STALLS W/O POWER. ENGINE FAILS. ELECTRICAL FAILS.
FIRST, TRUNK OF THE CAR. IT'S UNSAFE AND DOESN'T LOCK UNLESS U OVEREXTEND IT OPEN. I HAVE BEEN HIT IN MY HEAD TWICE BEFORE I LEARNED MY LESSON. SECOND, TRANSMISSION. IT MAKES A GRINDING NOISE WHEN OPERATED AT SLOWER SPEEDS. I AM REACHING 9,500 MILES AND NOISE IS STILL THERE SINCE DAY ONE. THREE, THE ENGINE. I BELIEVE THERE IS A INTERNAL DEFECT BECAUSE TODAY I WAS DRIVING A THE ENGINE OIL LIGHT CAME ON. ONCE I CHECKED THE OIL I SAW THAT THE DIPSTICK WAS CLEAN, NO OIL, NADA. WHERE HAS ALL THE OIL GONE ON A NEW 2019 JETTA? IT SURE HASN'T BEEN LEAKING ON THE GROUND OF MY GARAGE BECAUSE THERE IS NO FLUIDS.
CAR WAS BOUGHT BRAND NEW. AFTER 6 WEEKS OF DRIVING AND APPROX 1,200 MILES NOTICED LEAKING OIL IN THE GARAGE. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER. TRANSMISSION SEAL NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND IT COULD TAKE 2-3 DAYS DEPENDING ON THE AVAILABILITY OF THE PARTS.
2019 VW JETTA'S GRINDING/RATTLING NOISE FROM THE TORQUE CONVERTER. IT'S DAMAGING THE VALUE OF THE VEHICLE AND WORSE IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE AS IT CAUSES ACCELERATED HEATING AND FAILURE RATE FOR THE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM.
