2019 RAM 2500 Structurebody Problems

My rear back window is leaking into the cab. Water comes in around the rear headliner and down onto the seats. This is a known issue on 2019+ Ram trucks with the same backlite design — cracked upper frame and failed seal causing water intrusion.

Front parking sensors always being disabled due to something. Keeps saying wipe sensors. Even after going through wash bays. Tailgate has been opening on its own multiple times while driving, while going through car wash, and just sitting still. Try to close it, and it pops back open instantly. Have to do this several times and hope it stays closed. Now the tailgate won't open at all via the handle. You must use the remote or in cab button. What's annoying and dangerous is it opening while hauling items and it opens with out you knowing driving down the road. I have lost items on the highway a few times. Furthermore, the fact that there is no warning device on the dash to indicate it's open is a very serious issue. With these electronic tailgates, it should be a standard that there is a open gate indicator to warn drivers....

My tailgate opened while driving a couple times. But now the tailgate won't open.

Rear window mass water leak. Ram currently has a recall for certain models leaking rear window (spoke to Ram and my vehicle does not fall under the recall). There is also a class action lawsuit regarding the leaking rear windows on Ram. My concern is an electrical fire as I am driving due to the amount of water I found in the cab. As well as the mold and oder it's going to create.

The tailgate has issues closing and the supports meaning the wire that supports the tailgates when it is deployed one will have tension on it and the other is loose. The tailgate support cables are the same length. I think it has to do with the bed being worked. I have reported it to Huffines dodge dealer and they said there is no fix. The tale gate has opened when in use due to the latch / tail gate not closing correctly because of the out of square bed.

THE TAIL GATE OPENED AND WAS DAMAGED WHILE TOWING A DUMP TRAILER. I KNOW THAT I SLAMMED IT SHUT, BECAUSE IT DOESN'T SHUT ALL THE WAY IF I DON'T SLAM IT.

HOOD VIBRATING & SHAKING @ HIGHWAY SPEEDS STOPPED TO CHECK LATCH . THE HOOD WAS LATCHED PROPERLY .

THIS IS MY SECOND SUBMITTED COMPLAINT ABOUT THE TAILGATE COMING OPEN WHILE DRIVING AND TOWING. HAVE MADE TWO COMPLAINTS TO CHRYSLER AND TAKEN TO DEALER. HOWEVER, NOTHING IS BEING DONE BECAUSE THEY DRIVE IT 10 MILES AND "CAN NOT REPLICATE". EVEN THOUGH THEY ACKNOWLEDGE EXTENSIVE RECALL HISTORY ON EARLIER MODELS FOR SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE NOW DAMAGED MY TRUCK WITH 5K MILES ON IT AND MY CAMPER WHEN IT CAME OPEN IN TOW.

OUR TAILGATE HAS OPENED ON ITS OWN 4 TIMES WHILE WE WERE DRIVING SINCE WE HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE. IT ALSO HAS SHOWN A NOTIFICATION ON THE DASH THAT THE TAILGATE IS OPEN, BUT WHEN CHECKED IT IS CLOSED. I HAVE A VIDEO OF THIS, BUT I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN UPLOAD IT. WE BOUGHT THE VEHICLE IN LATE 2019 AND THE FIRST EVENT WAS IN MARCH 2020, AND IT CAUSED SCRATCHES ON THE PLASTIC TOP PART OF THE TAILGATE, AS IT HIT THE TONGUE JACK OF OUR CAMPER. THE FIRST TIME, WE THOUGHT MAYBE WE HADN'T CLOSED IT HARD ENOUGH, SO WE HAVE ALWAYS MADE A POINT TO MAKE SURE IT WAS SHUT TIGHT. THE SECOND TIME WAS ON MARCH 14, 2020. THE THIRD TIME WAS JUNE 20, 2020 AND IT CAUSED DAMAGE TO OUR TAILGATE. WE WERE IN A PARKING LOT MAKING A TURN AND THE TAILGATE...

WELL DRIVING DOWN THE INNER STATE AT 65 MILES AN HOUR A FRAME SNAPPED AND THE DRIVE TRAIN AND AXEL FELL OUT TRUCK VEERED TO THE LEFT IN CONSEQUENTLY I HIT THE GUARD RAIL THIS HAPPENED AND A DRY FLAT STRAIGHT INTERSTATE I -20I MILE MARKER NUMBER 4 IN NORTH AUGUSTA SOUTH CAROLINA THE MECHANIC THAT TOWED THE TRUCK SAID THIS HAPPENED DUE TO A MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT THE TRUCK ONLY HAD 6000 MILES ON IT.*DT*JB*DT*DT*JB*DT*JB*DT THE CONSUMER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE IS UNDER INSPECTION BY THE MANUFACTURER. *AS*DT*DT*DT*DT *TR*AS*DT*DT*DT *TR*DT THE CONSUMER PROVIDED PHOTOS. *TR*DT *TR*DT

TRUCK HAS 5000 MILES ON IT. TWICE NOW THE TAILGATE HAS COME OPEN WHILE TRAVELING. YESTERDAY 6/22/20, I GOT HOME FROM TRAVEL TOWING CAMPER, AND UNLOADED BACK OF TRUCK. CLOSED TAILGATE AND DOUBLE CHECKED IT TO MAKE SURE IT WAS CLOSED, DO THIS NOW AFTER FIRST TIME. TOWED CAMPER TO STORAGE AND WHILE MAKING TURN IN STORAGE AREA TAILGATE HAD OPENED ON TRIP AND HIT CAMPER CAUSING DAMAGE TO TAILGATE AND CAMPER. *TR

RAMBOX LID APPLIQUES KEEP DE-LAMINATING, EVEN AFTER NEW TAPE AND ADHESIVE PROMOTER IS APPLIED BY DEALER, PER RECALL. 4TH TIME AT THE DEALER FOR THIS ISSUE. THE FOAM TAPE IS NOT ADHERING DUE TO THE CURVE OF THE PANEL. *TR

FRONT CAB IS NOT ALIGNED STRAIGHT WITH BED.. LOOKS LIKE CAB OR BED IS SHIFTED. *TR

HOOD VIBRATES AND LIFTS LIKE IT'S GOING TO COME OFF

THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE MOVES AROUND SUBSTANTIALLY IN TURBULENT AIR ON THE HIGHWAY. IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS COMING LOOSE, BUT IT ISN'T. FOR INSTANCE FOLLOWING A SEMI, OR IN WINDY CONDITIONS. THE DATE ON THIS FORM IS RANDOM BECAUSE IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME.

BODY MOUNTS KEEP GOING BAD. STARTED MAKING FAINT NOISES AT 2000 MILES AND COULDNT DIAGNOSE. 8000 MILES WAS DETERMINED IT WAS THE BODY MOUNTS AND HAD TO REPLACE WILL ALL UPDATED MOUNTS. 9000 MILES NOISE AND CLUNKS FROM BODY MOUNTS ARE BACK.
