2025 NISSAN ROGUE Visibilitywiper Problems

The back window on our 2025 rogue shattered an explored to today February 15, 2026, Safety was compromised by not being able to see out of back window. There is no back window to reproduced. No warning just happen. After being parked.

The rear window shattered without being hit by anything. We were parked in a lot and the window just shattered for no apparent reason. Window fragments are dangerous. I saw the issue online when I started to investigate if this was a one off or it happened to others. We are scheduled to visit the dealership. They indicated that they had another incident with video proof that nothing struck the rear window and it just shattered. The dealership also indicated that Nissan refused to fix it. There was no warning. Something needs to be done to cure this situation. Our vehicle is brand new - we have owned it for less than a year.

My car was sitting in the parking lot at work and the back glass shattered. I called the dealer to see if it was under warranty and they told me no. I called my insurance and they are trying to get it replaced. I put crash wrap on it so I can drive it. I can't see out the back now.

Rear windshield exploded without anything to promote this. There was not any rocks or pebbles that hit it, the glass just shattered.

My vehicle had been parked in my driveway for approximately one hour. When I entered the car and closed the door, I immediately heard a shattering sound. The vehicle was not running at the time, and there was no impact or external force involved. The rear window shattered suddenly and without warning. I am thankful this did not occur while I was driving, as it presents a serious safety concern that could have caused an accident. There were no prior signs or indications that this would happen. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.

The rear window of the vehicle failed and cracked around the edges and then imploded shattered glass into the vehicle with no force or accident, only cold weather. Vehicle was parked and engine not on.

The rear window on my 2025 Nissan rogue shattered. There was no reason for this to happen I had driven it in the morning and it was fine I went out an hour later and it was shattered. There was a slight temperature fluctuation that day in Plano Texas December 30th 2025. Upon researching this I found out that this had happened to other people in the same make and model.

Rear windshield shattered for no reason. Came home from the store and heard popping from the back parked in driveway. Glass was shattering and by the time it finished entire window was gone. Did some researching and multiple rogues have this issue. Safelite told me I was the 5th rogue owner in 2 weeks to have this issue.

On Friday, January 2, 2026, the rear windshield of the vehicle spontaneously shattered into a million pieces. The vehicle was not running. It was not moving...and no one touched it.

My rear window just shattered without cause. I got into the vehicle this morning, closed the door and then a loud noise occurred. I looked and found that the entire back window had shattered. Very dangerous had this happened on the road!!

My car was sitting our closed garage and came into the garage to see the rear window shattered.

I got into my vehicle and the back windshield glass shattered when I closed my driver's side door.

Rear windshield spontaneously shattered. Car was parked in a vacant lot, with no external contact. I opened the Driver side door and the window shattered. Rear defroster was used about 4 hours before on drive to work. Hatch was opened upon arrival with no issues or noticeable cracks.

I parked my 2025 Nissan Rogue in my attached garage on Thursday night. I went into the garage on Sunday evening and saw that the rear windshield had shattered. The perimeter of the windshield had pieces missing, those were on the garage floor behind the car. At this point the glass was still attached. However, I needed to retrieve an item inside the car. When I gently closed the door, a chunk of shattered glass fell in the cargo area. More fell inside today, still parked in the garage. I bought it in Feb 2025, it has around 5,000 miles. Rear window shattered while parked at work for unknown reason.

My back windshield exploded while it was parked in my office’s lot. The glass completely shattered for no apparent reason. I had to drive my vehicle with glass still connected but about to fall out. I went to the dealership and shut the door, and it all fell out. I have seen hundreds of online posts with the same thing happening to other Nissan Rogues, and the dealership is saying they aren’t going to cover it and claim they have never heard of the issue. There were no warning signs that this was going to happen.

Got in my car and was buckeling my seatbelt and then a loud bang.. Sounded like a gunshot. The rear window exploded. This is a known issue with Nissan rogue. The sound scared me. I have chest pains from being so scared. Nissan dealer can't do anything and when I called Nissan customer affairs they took information and told me there is no recall and to call my insurance company

On Thursday November 13th, 2025, I drove to work like I do every day. When I got to work and parked, the REAR windshield cracked all on its own. It was not freezing, nor were there any large temperature swings to cause this. Today (Wed Nov 19th, 2025) the Safelite repair man came to replace it. He stated that he sees this quite often with the Nissan Rogue. I called Nissan and they said that they never have heard of this (as i would expect them to say). I would like this investigated as there was nothing done to cause this - no rocks, etc.

My car was sitting in my driveway earlier, no trees around, or no one outside. I had walked past the house door and my rear window was busted. We contacted Nissan and they said because there is not a recall, there is nothing they can do.

Back windshield busted out completed, chase is unknown.

Owner of 2025 Nissan Rogue Rock Creek. On 11/03/2025 3pm temperature 45-47 degrees. Car was parked and all of a sudden rear window exploded. I called the dealer and told them they said they had nothing on recalls of defect. I did make a claim with my insurance Geico and did report it to Nissan also Case# 55966563. Upon online research there is multiples of incidents with the sale exploding issue on various years but all same model: Rogue.

On October 20, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m., my 2025 Nissan Rogue was parked in a public parking lot for several hours. When I started the engine, I heard a sudden loud pop, and the rear windshield immediately imploded, scattering glass both inside and outside the vehicle. There were no signs of impact, vandalism, or prior damage, and no hazards in the surrounding area. The vehicle’s climate control was set to “Auto” at 70°F, and the rear defroster was not on. This appears to have been a spontaneous glass failure, similar to other reports from Rogue owners. The incident created a serious safety concern due to the sudden explosion of tempered glass, which could easily cause driver or passenger injury, distraction while operating the vehicle, or potential loss of visibility if it had occurred while driving. While parked my rear window imploded and shattered. There was no impact, or previous damage. I opened my driver door to get in and then it crumbled.

Enterprise Rental: Back window shattered spontaneously. Car WAS NOT IN MOTION, it was parked.

On a cool morning (~53°F), I drove approximately 6.4 miles each way (about 12–13 miles total) to and from school with the rear defroster on to clear condensation. After returning home and parking, I heard a loud pop and saw that the entire rear hatch window was shattered. I called my husband outside, and we documented the damage with photos and video. When I closed the door, the shattered glass collapsed inward into the cargo area, with shards also scattered across the driveway. There was no external strike point, debris, or prior damage to the glass. The breakage was spontaneous and created a safety hazard by leaving sharp tempered fragments inside the vehicle and an open rear hatch. Other 2025 Rogue owners have reported the same failure, suggesting a recurring defect.

My back rear window basically shattered while it was just sitting. There was nothing that hit it. I had just driven it to. work and had the rear defrost on while I was driving. A little while after I arrived at work the window just sounded like it exploded.

After my car being parked for 5 hours I opened my car door and before even shutting my door and starting my car my rear view windshield shattered to pieces, no forced trauma , literal shatter .

The vehicle had been parked for 10 hours while I was at work. I got in the vehicle and shut the door and the back glass shattered. I had security pull up the camera footage of the area my vehicle was parked and no one tampered with it.

The rear window shattered spontaneously with explosive force and sound while I was driving and parking it in the subsurface garage of my condominium complex, with my wife as a passenger. I can only surmise that substandard safety glass, combined with unusually high outside temperatures and extremely effective interior air conditioning was involved in the physics of the explosion. The incident was unprecedented in my 67 years of driving. The incident was preceded by intermittent and inexplicable hissing sounds for several miles before I entered my parking garage and parked the vehicle. No external projectile or impact was involved.

Went to leave the house and noticed the rear windshield was shattered. Holes on either side of the windshield. With glass on the outside of the vehicle, as if the windshield had exploded outward.
