No warning light. Going down the freeway at About 70-80 mph then the accelerator stops working. It goes down to about 44 mph with my foot floored in gas pad. I have to get off the road and then let her set to cool . This went on over and over on a recent 15 hour trip I had the transmission sensors evaluated and it was indicated they were no good replaced one but need 2 and one reordered. If was . Waiting on replacement and the outside parts so I'll keep up with the changes we do to if they are wrong. Also replacing outside transmission filter.

I was in a head on collision going 55-60mph with no airbags deployed. Car started a dripping fire. I have seatbelt lacerations starting from collarbone/neck area cross my chest, breast and right side ribs including deep bruising on lower abdomen and pelvic area. Police would not let me in my car bc air bags could potentially go off at any time but car made it to the tow-yard still without airbags going off. No warning or recalls sent to me since I bought the car in May of 2022.

Vehicle has a habit of losing speed, even on cruise control, when going more than 70 mph for extended times and dropping below 60 when doing so on Interstate with no warning lights or system notifications. The most recent occurence was on Saturday, June 7th when driving on the interstate and cruise control engaged at 73 mph when it cut off, dropped to just below 60 without warning and would not accelerate back when pedal completely depressed and then AC system started blowing HOT air and compressor would not kick back on. First attempted to check freon and those levels are not the issue- air blows but blows hot without cooling at all. This did occur in sustained temps in the low to mid-90s.

My car is a 2013 Rogue S with 118,000 miles. Two weeks ago I was on the I-95 at around 70 miles an hour and the car suddenly goes to 45 miles, despite my insistence to maintain my speed, I had to give up and pull over to the right ... I was able to go home at low speed and this experience traumatized me. After that I consulted a mechanic who told me without joking that these cars have the worst transmission and I should contact Nissan. I contacted Nissan customer service to explain the problem, they told me no and gave me a case number (52135330). After checking, it turns out that following repeated complaints Nissan would have increased the warranty up to 120,000 miles, but not for me!

Purchased a 2013 Nissan Rogue with 95,000 miles on it back in the summer of 2021. currently has 102,00 miles. While travelling on the turnpike at 75 mph, the engine suddenly shut down and I began coasting until I stopped. Being in the left passing lane, I had to get over to the berm without getting hit by passing vehicles (2 nearly rear-ended me) because I was coasting slowly across two other lanes. Once stopped, the car would not restart. I started doing research as to why this happened. I needed a new part for the transmission per the Nissan Dealership. KNOWN issue with engines overheating and the vehicle stopping. Purchased a 2014 Nissan Rogue with 95,000 miles on it back in the summer of 2021. It currently has 102,00 miles. Along with the purchase, I purchased the “extended” warranty for $2400 to cover the drive-train. All was running well until the temperatures starting climbing into the 90’s consistently. #1 I have been completely affected by the KNOWN defect in the Nissan transmissions with the first instance being my on the interstate, 4 hours from home with my child only, and we lost power while driving the interstate. The losing power issue has happened multiple times over the last 5 years and all that I can find online is that Nissan is aware and owners can buy something and have it added to the transmission....if we purchased the vehicle I think Nissan should at least be responsible for the issues with something that they are aware is an issue with the products they sell. While driving up a mountain with no guard rails, my car lost power and failed to accelerate. The car was still running and I had the gas pedal pressed all the way to the floor but we weren’t moving. I then had to reverse my car down a narrow, no guard rail mountain road, while also directing traffic coming at us and behind us to go around my vehicle. All with my 68 year old father and 62 year old stepmom passengers who were terrified; I was also but had to hold it together to get my family to safety. While driving home from vacation I started noticing my car wasn't letting me drive over 65 mph. It felt like the car need to shift but wouldn't. I pulled over and turned my car off. Opened the hood of the car and everything seemed ok. When I got back on the road and started to pass traffic my car wouldn't engage when pushing on the petal. I had multiple cars behind me that needed to brake for me to be able to get back over into another lane so they could drive past me. My engine light then turned on. Transmission is the issue. It is available for inspection. I have to have my transmission fluid changed every 8,000 miles - my car will stop at red lights/stop signs. The RPM’s will go up but the car will not move. This has almost caused multiple accidents as the car behind me thinks I am going when I cannot move. If I stop, I may not get going for several seconds. It’s taken up to a couple minutes at times. This has been looked at by our mechanic and it does this for him as well. There are NO warnings. No check engine light, no change in the car. No signs of this happening. It is terrifying not knowing when this may happen. I was driving down the highway from the airport headed back home, and the car started to lose power. My foot was pressing the pedal to accelerate but the RPMS went past 3-4K and the speed kept going down. No engine lights showed up on the dash or any type of warning. The transmission is going out and the car is less than 10 years old and it just hit 119,817 miles. I looked at the information on the Nissan Rogue's and it states that the manufacturer had a extended warranty on some of their Rogue's transmissions but not all of them for transmission repair, only some of their Rogues, because they apparently build a crappy transmission. I've looked up this extended warranty and any recall notices here but there are none showing. How do we get Nissan to fix their mess? This is ridiculous! The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at a low rate of speed, the vehicle began to jerk as the check engine light illuminated the instrument panel. As the contact continued to drive, the vehicle would not accelerate above 5 MPH. Once the contact and her husband made it home she had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was diagnosed with transmission failure. The contact called County Line Nissan North(522 Winsted Rd, Torrington, CT 06790) and Balise Nissan of West Springfield(500 Riverdale St, West Springfield, MA 01089), and both referred her to the manufacturer for assistance. After driving on the freeway in hot weather the car car decelerates and will not accelerate. Car goes from 65 MPH to around 40 MPH. This is a very dangerous situation in traffic. This has happened several times every year since we bought car. I have 'googled' this and it seems to be quite common with this Nissan model. Also other Nissan models. I am afraid to take this car on any road trip. Nissan will not address this issue. Something needs to be resolved before someone gets killed in this car!

When driving in approximately 90* weather on the highway, we lost all power/pickup and the car wouldn't get over approximately 45mph. This was an extreme safety hazard as the road we were on had no breakdown lane. We were eventually able to pull off the highway and let the vehicle cool for about 20 minutes and then we went backroads for the remainder of the drive. This has happened at least 5 additional times, all when driving on the highway in high temps and when the RPMs on the car are higher than 2K consistently. This is so dangerous and I cannot believe that Nissan isn't doing anything to make this safety issue right.

Purchased this car in 2015 from.Nissan dealership. The car randomly loses power when I'm on the highway. It's happened 3 times within the last 3 months. The car smokes a bit when this happens. Took it to my licensed mechanic who's owns a shop and was told my Transmission was fine, the fluids in the car where up to par and he couldn't find anything wrong with the engine. Was told Nissan Rogue has many issues with the CVT and its worth seeing if there are any open recalls on the car. So I checked by vin number and nothing came up. But as I do my research into other owners that have the same make and model as well year of my car, they are having the same issue. Wondering why hasn't this been looked into.

SIMILAR TO OTHER NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSIONS OUR 2013 ROGUE HAS LOST POWER WHILE DRIVE ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION AND OFTEN STRUGGLES TO KEEP SPEED. ONE INSTANCEWE WERE AT A RED LIGHT ON A STEEP INCLINE WHEN THE CAR LOST POWER. THE CAR STARTED TO ROLL BACK TOWARD THE CAR BEHIND AND WE NEARLY AVOIDED A COLLISION. WE NOTICED THIS ISSUE THE DAY WE PURCHASED IT. WE HAVE TAKEN IT IN TO OUR LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP RIGHT AWAY AND SEVERAL TIMES AFTER TO REPORT THE ISSUE BUT THEY KEPT SAYING NOTHING WAS WRONG. WE HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THE RECOMMENDEDMAINTENANCE SCHEDULE AND OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS FROM NISSAN BUT NOW AFTER THE WARRANTY HAS ENDEDTHEY INFORMED US WE NEED TO REPAIR THE TRANSMISSION.NISSAN HAS BEEN ACTING VERY UNETHICALLY AND ARE NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITYFOR THIS ISSUE THAT COULD BE FATAL TO OTHER DRIVERS.

MY VEHICLE CONTINUES TO GO INTO LIMP MODE WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. A MECHANIC STATES THAT IT THE CVT, TRANSMISSION ISSUE. I JUST WENT OVER MY WARRANTY AND NOW I'M GOING TO HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET 3,000-5,000 DOLLARS TO HAVE FIXED. I HAVE SPOKE WITH MANY OTHERS THAT HAVE THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL, 2013-2018 WITH THE SAME ISSUE. I WAS IN THE FAST LANE AND MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT TAKE THE GAS AND ENDED UP ON THE SIDE OF THE RODE THREE TIMES DURING MY TRIP. VEHICLE RUNS HOT AFTER THERMOSTAT WAS CHANGED. WHILE ON INTERSTATE FOR APPROX. AN HOUR VEHICLE STILL RUNNING WARM. TEMP RETURNS TO NORMAL WHILE HEATER IS ON HIGH. WHILE ON CRUISE CONTROL RPMS INCREASED SUDDENLY TO 4500 WITH A SPEED OF 70. SLOWED DOWN TO 60 AND RMPS CONTINUED TO CLIMB TO 4500 UNTIL I PULLED OVER ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD.TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SOLENOID FAILING. TEMP FIX, SPRAYED CONNECTION CLEANER ON TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SOLENOID, RPMS ARE STILL SLIGHTLY ELEVATED FROM NORMAL, BUT MANAGEABLE FOR NOW.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD PAY 60% OF THE REPAIR COST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.

MY 2013 NISSAN ROGUE AWD LOSES ACCELERATION ON THE HIGHWAY. I LIVE IN A MOUNTAINOUS AREA AND IT APPEARS TO HAPPEN WHEN ACCELERATING UP HILL. IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME AT BETWEEN 65-75 MPH.
