I PURCHASED A NEW 2013 NISSAN ROGUE IN APRIL OF 2013. WE ASSUMED THAT THE ROGUE WOULD HAVE THE SAME 2.5 LITER ENGINE AS THE 2009 ALTIMA WE OWN AND LIKE. AS SOON AS WE DROVE ROGUE ON OUR FIRST TRIP INTO THE MOUNTAINS OF NC WE DISCOVERED A PROBLEM. WHEN DRIVING UP A GENTLE SLOPE THE RPM WILL GO FROM 2000 TO 3000 WITHOUT ANY APPRECIATIVE INCREASE IN SPEED, WHEN MORE SPEED IS REQUIRED TO KEEP UP WITH TRAFFIC OR TO PASS, AND THE ACCELERATOR IS PRESSED TO 5000RPM NO INCREASE IN SPEED IS AVAILABLE. I FEEL EXACTLY LIKE SOMETHING IS SLIPPING. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO PASS ANY CAR BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW IF I HAVE ANY POWER RESERVE AVAILABLE. AT THE HIGH RPM THE ENGINE IS ALSO USING A LOT OF FUEL.
