THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL SHOP WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CRANK SHAFT SENSOR WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. A FEW YEARS AGO THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY CAR FOR THE ECM, IT NEEDED TO BE REPROGRAMMED, I TOOK IT IN AND SUPPOSEDLY GOT THE RECALL FIXED BUT THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT KEPT COMING ON. THE ISSUE KEPT OCCURRING AND I WAS ALMOST IN A FEW ACCIDENTS BECAUSE THE CAR WOULD SUDDENLY SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN TRAFFIC. I LATER LEARNED THAT THE REPROGRAMMING CAUSED MY SENSORS TO GO OUT AND THAT WHEN IT WAS REPROGRAMMED THE SENSORS SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED ALSO.
