| 227,814 vehicles affected
Defect: Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain 2014-2015 Mazda6 and 2014-2016 Mazda3 vehicles. Water could possibly enter the brake caliper causing the parking brake actuator shaft to corrode and possibly bind.
Consequence: If the parking brake actuator shaft binds, the parking brake may not engage or disengage fully. If the parking brake does not engage properly, the vehicle may move unexpectedly if it is parked on a slope, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Mazda will notify owners, and dealers will check the parking brake actuator shafts, replacing any that are corroded, free of charge. Remedy parts are currently unavailable. Interim notices informing owners of the safety risk were mailed August 24, 2017. Owners...

| 99,711 vehicles affected
Defect: Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Mazda6 vehicles manufactured October 25, 2012, to October 10, 2014. If the pressures of four of the tires on an affected vehicle gradually drop at the same time, the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) may not warn the driver of the drop in pressure. As such, these vehicles fail...
Consequence: A vehicle that is driven with under inflated tires may experience a sudden tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Mazda will notify owners, and dealers will update the TPMS software, free of charge. The recall began on December 10, 2014. Owners may contact Mazda customer service at 1-800-222-5500.

When driving the affected vehicles in heavy rain or in deep puddles,...
Consequence: Once the PCM assumes that the charging system has failed, the vehicle will stop charging and could result in poor acceleration, loss of steering assist and windshield wiper operation, and a possible engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Mazda will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the PCM with updated software, free of charge. The recall began on May 19, 2014. Owners may contact Mazda at 1-800-222-5500. Mazda's number for this recall is 7314D.

| 19,000 vehicles affected
Defect: Mazda North America Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain model year 2014 Mazda6 vehicles manufactured October 25, 2012, through May 9, 2013. In the affected vehicles, it is possible to fill the fuel tank beyond its rated capacity.
Consequence: If the tank is overfilled, gas may flow into the charcoal canister (an evaporative emissions component) and possibly leak from the canister's external vent, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Mazda will notify owners and dealers will inspect and add an adapter to the shut off valve in the fuel tank and also inspect the charcoal canister for the presence of gasoline, replacing it as necessary, free of charge. The...

At 70000 miles the transmission just got stuck into a single gear in manual. I drove it home and the check engine light came on. Before this problem the car would not go into park. Every time I put it into park I was unable to turn off the car because it thought it was still in gear. I had to fiddle the gear stick. The car also made a high pitch click (metallic) when shifting into 1st or Reverse from park. I took it to Capitol Mazada San Jose and they charged me $7000 to fix some transmission problem. I took it home and the clicking noise did not go away. I took it back to the dealer and they redid some work.

I pulled into my parking space in front of garage door, I came to a complete stop and positively without any doubt, put my foot on the brake. As I shifted to park, all of a sudden engine loudly revved up and car suddenly and quickly accelerated through garage door. I want to make it perfectly clear, I DID NOT HAVE MY FOOT ACCIDENTLY ON THE ACCELERATOR WHEN CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. Mazda checked the car and said nothing was wrong with the car. This has happened to many other people with Mazda and other makes and people are told too many times that there is nothing wrong the car when it clearly is not human error.
My 2014 mazda 6 EVAP system pops the p0451 when filling up gas to the first click. It goes away after a while if I take care to not fill up the tank all the way to the top. It is similar to a issue reported by recall 7414D for other 2014 mazda 6s. My car is not covered by the open recall, but it is experiencing similar issues. The p0451 goes on and off depending on how much i fill up the gastank.
