Defect: Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Pinnacle (PI/PN) trucks. The air tanks have an insufficient volume of air for the brake system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

Consequence: Insufficient air volume can reduce braking performance and increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will install the correct volume air tanks, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 10, 2025. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0473.

Recall 24V792000 — ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE

Defect: Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Anthem, Granite, TerraPro and Pinnacle vehicles, equipped with Bendix EC80 Advanced Electronic Control Units (ECU). Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working.

Consequence: Safety systems that depend on the ECU (Automatic Traction Control, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Active Cruise Control, and Collison Mitigation System) may have diminished or lost functionality, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will reprogram the ECU software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 9, 2024. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0472.

Consequence: An improperly tightened seat pedestal and seat belt attachment may not restrain the occupant as intended, increasing their risk of injury during a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace and tighten the seat pedestal and seat belt attachment bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 16, 2024. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0469.

Defect: Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2024 Anthem, Pinnacle, and Terrapro vehicles. The steering gear assemblies may have been assembled incorrectly with fewer recirculating balls than are required, which may result in a loss of steering control.

Consequence: A loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.
