Defect: Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2022 Keystone Arcadia, Carbon, Alpine, Avalanche, Cougar, Fuzion, High Country Montana, Hideout, Impact, Montana, Outback, Passport, Raptor, Springdale, and 2021-2022 Sprinter and Bullet fifth wheel and travel trailers. The solar controller may be incorrectly wired, causing certain components and safety alarms, such as carbon monoxide and propane gas detectors, to become inoperable.

Consequence: Inoperable safety alarms increase the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect voltage readings and correct the wiring as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 2, 2022. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 22-423.

The regulator may fail, causing an increase in propane pressure.

Consequence: Increased propane pressure can enlarge the flames in gas appliances, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the regulator and test the propane system for leaks, free of charge. Owner notification letters mailed February 25, 2021. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 21-414.

Brake Wiring drivers side of trailer melted inside trailer axel and near brake drum. Technician stated possible due to wiring being damaged when run through axel. Camping World Lakewood NJ has defective wiring and photos. First noted something questionable about wires in [XXX] but seemed to be working ok then inspected by Camping World [XXX] found wiring insulation seriously melted. Wiring required replacement. Tried to upload pics but doesn’t direct to an upload page. I feel this could have be a catastrophic event and suggest closer inspections and testing of brake systems. 2021 KEYSTONE BULLET. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO OVERHEATING BRAKES. THE CONSUMER STATED THE BRAKES DESTROYED THEMSELVES. A TECHNICIAN AT THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT WHEN THE BRAKE HUB WAS PULLED, THE BRAKES AND COMPONENTS FELL TO THE FLOOR IN PIECES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DECLINED ASSISTANCE STATING THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO USER ERROR. THE DEALERSHIP THEN OFFERED ASSISTANCE BY DISCOUNTING THE REPAIR COST. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. *JS
