5 complaints have been filed with NHTSA for the 2017 KEYSTONE BULLET. Below is a breakdown by vehicle component.

Most Recent Complaints

#11541606 | SUSPENSION | | N/A miles
1. Component that failed: The leaf springs on the rear axle broke in half. This RV has two rear axles. The leaf springs that broke were both on the rear axle. 2. How was your safety put at risk?: If the springs broke while at highway speeds, control of the Travel Trailer could have been lost. 3. Has the problem been confirmed by a dealer or independent service center?: Yes. Both broken leaf springs have been replaced. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representative?: No. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warnings. We did hear a "pop noise" when one of the springs snapped/broke. The leaf spring broke while making a U-turn. Keystone RV was notified of this spring failure. I wanted Keystone RV to know of this problem in the event other RV Trailer Trailers are experiencing similar suspension failures. I do not overload the travel trailer. The RV Travel Trailer is used primarily in the Rocky Mountain West. So the leaf springs were not subject to salt air and/or high humidity that would lead to corrosion. I drive very conservatively. I am always the slowest vehicle on the highway. I do not camp off-road. The RV Travel Trailer is 6 1/2 years old. The leaf springs should not have failed at such a young age and under the circumstances that exist.

I, AS MANY OTHERS WHO BUY RECREATIONAL VEHICLES, HAVE BEEN HAVING SOME ISSUES WITH THESE TIRES BLOWING OUT. WE PURCHASED OUR VEHICLE, BRAND NEW IN FEBRUARY 2018. LESS THAN 500 MILES ON TIRES. THE TIRE PRESSURE WAS CORRECT AND WE HAD A VERY LIGHT LOAD, LESS THAN THEY TIRES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO HANDLE. WE JUST RECENTLY HAD ONE WHICH THANKFULLY NO HARM TO ANYONE BUT OUR CAMPER. AFTER THIS WE REPLACED ALL THE TIRES.

CPSC:WE PURCHASED A NEW 2017 KEYSTONE BULLET TRAVEL TRAILER IN SEPTEMBER 2017. WE HAVE TWO DOORS ON OUR TRAILER AND HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE ENTRY DOOR LOCKS LOCKING WHEN THE LATCH IS IN THE UNLOCK POSITION. THE FIC LOCKS HAVE BOTH LOCKED WHEN THE DOOR WAS JUST CLOSED. THE LAST TIME LEAVING MY DOG ON THE INSIDE AND I WAS LEFT IN 38 DEGREE WEATHER(IN MY PJ'S AND A LIGHT JACKET AND MY CELL PHONE ON THE INSIDE WITH MY DOG) FOR OVER 4 HOURS BEFORE FINDING ANOTHER OWNER OF A KEYSTONE TRAVEL TRAILER WHO WAS GRACIOUS ENOUGH IN ALLOWING US TO TRY TO USE THEIR KEYS TO OPEN OUR DOORS. THE REAR DOOR WAS IN THE UNLOCK POSITIONS AND WE WERE UNABLE TO UNLOCK THE LOCK EVEN WITH A KEY. *DT *JS
