Defect: Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Alpine, Avalanche, 2020-2023 Fuzion and Impact travel trailers. The hydraulic leveling leg foot pads may become loose and separate from the vehicle.

Consequence: A foot pad that separates during transit can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect the mounting bolt and reinstall with thread locking adhesive, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 10, 2022. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 22-437.

Bent/broken frame. We are stranded in Northern CA. The unit is available for inspection. This RV is not safe to be on the road. The insurance company told is that it is non-drivable. See our story below: We have a 3 year old Keystone Alpine 5th Wheel. The frame is bent and cross members are broken. We do not know how it happened. There has been no accident, collision, we didn't run over anything that we recall, no sharp turns or anything that we can recall that would have caused this. We have reached out to Keystone. I literally had to call them and email them every day for 2 months to try to get any kind of answer. They came back and said that the problem is not theirs. That the issue must have happened due to impact. We have reached out to Lippert (again, will never buy an RV with a Lippert frame again and yes, I know they provide the largest percent of frames to the RV industry but there are also a lot of issues with the frames. Most people sign NDA's to get their problem settled. I probably would have settled for that just to get back on the road). They said they will not cover the issue since they believe there had to be some sort of impact. We have Progressive Insurance. They said they will not cover the issue since they do not see signs of impact and classify the issue as normal wear and tear. On a 3 year old RV that we bought brand new? Really? It took an unreasonable amount of time for them to get us answers as well. Meanwhile, we have been stranded for 3.5 months waiting for the 3 companies above to get us answers. The amount of time I have spent trying to get this resolved is beyond ridiculous.

On or about August 2021, the front frame flexed, causing the body to crack from both front slides lower forward corners going forward. Camper was taken to RVOutlet in Longs SC (now Blue Compass RV)to be repaired in September of 2021. The front frame section was found to be cracked, and was repaired per Keystone TSB procedures, repairs completed in February 2022. These repairs are documented by Keystone, however, I do not have a copy of the repair invoice as the dealer was sold and the computer systems changed, as I was advised I could not get a copy of the repair invoice. This was the first long trip, over 300 miles, the unit had been on, and the frame failed, has not shown any issues thus far after repairs.

The pin box is moving separately from the framework. What this means is the structure the holds the pin box is starting to fail which could cause the camper to separate from the truck when being pulled down the highway which could cause injury or death to people on that highway. It's a known defect
