2016 JEEP WRANGLER Visibilitywiper Problems

The contact owns a 2016 Jeep Wrangler. The contact recently replaced the windshield wiper motor due to a failure of the intermittent speed settings not functioning properly. The contact stated that after replacing the wiper motor, the contact was only able to use the wipers on the fast speed setting. An independent mechanic informed the contact that the vehicle was taken to the shop for repair, or he could replace the wiper blade switch on the steering column. The contact repaired the vehicle himself. The contact stated that after the repair was completed, while driving out of the driveway at approximately 2 MPH, the driver's side front air bag deployed. The contact followed the instructions to install the wiper blade switch carefully. The contact was still only able to use the wipers on the fast speed setting. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure....

BLINKERS DO NO WORK. HIGH/LOW BEAM ALSO INOPERABLE. DASH LIGHTS EXTREMELY LOW, CAN BARELY SEE THEM AND WE ARE 35 YR OLD OWNERS WITH GOOD 20/25 VISION. FOR LACK OF BETTER WORDS OR MECHANICAL TERMS, HAVING A VEHICLE WITH THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE IS LIKE DRIVING SOMETHING POSSESSED. TIPM ON THIS VEHICLES ARE KNOWN TO BE FAULTY AND FCA HAS AGREED TO RECALL CERTAIN VEHICLES WITH SIMILAR ISSUES. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN ISSUED CAME TO LIGHT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (BICE MOTOR, INC. 2133 CHEROKEE RD, ALEXANDER CITY, AL 35010, PHONE NUMBER: 256-392-7538) WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. HOWEVER, THE DEALER USED A REPAIR KIT TO REMEDY THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE OF THE REPAIR PERFORMED BUT IT FAILED TO REMEDY THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. AS I WAS STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT, FOR NO REASON AT ALL THE REAR WINDOW EXPLODED AND SHATTERED IN PIECES. DEALERSIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE JEEP WOULD NOT HELP NOR WOULD JEEP CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 800-847-9753 AS A MATTER OF FACT THEY WERE DEFENSIVE AND RUDE.

I AM ON THE SECOND WINDSHIELD IN LESS THAN 2 YEARS. THE FIRST ONE COULD HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY IMPACT AS IT OCCURRED WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY. THE SECOND TIME IN LESS THAN 6 MONTHS (FIRST WINDSHIELD WAS REPLACED WITH MOPAR OEM PARTS) I WAS SITTING AT A RED LIGHT WHEN I SAW IT CRACK, THERE WAS NO IMPACT. I HAD MY DEFROSTERS ON HIGH HEAT AND HIGH FAN. THE CRACK WENT FROM THE CENTER OF THE WINDSHIELD ALL THE WAY TO THE DRIVERS SIDE. RESEARCHING ON LINE THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE AND NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AND BETTER GLASS SHOULD BE INSTALLED.
