My husband was driving our Jeep today and it just stopped two times without any warning. Once while just going down our driveway (about 1000 feet from our home) and the second times was while he was in town going around a round about intersection. Started from Feb 2022 till April 2022 I had 3 time lights came up and car stopped on the road while I was driving. The first time was low oil pressure came on, and second and third time were both about engine service light on. so it happened once a month with about 1000 mileage driving. I was almost hit by the car behind of me coz the car stopped suddenly while I was driving. this really caused my concern about my safety. Dealer couldn't help me more about it except keep monitoring the oil consumption. they told me the car with 2.4L V4 engine has this issue. I found out the same issue also happened to the other Jeep consumers and they have been involved in law suit. I need to file this complaint so could get someone's attention on this, Chrysler need to fix this engine design issue...

Coolant in reservoir has been overheating since replacement of o-ring on pressure cap. I have take the car to the mechanic twice to find the solutions as to what could be causing this issue. The first time I was told it was not my radiator because I thought I had suffered damage to it from an accident a couple of years ago, and the second time they have flushed the system and told me there were no signs of leakage in the system. I have even speculated it could be the thermostat housing, so I got that replaced as well, but to no avail.

My engine has stalled on several different occasions after accelerating it will stall out with no warning. It will restart but usually takes a few attempts.

My jeep on 11/11/2021 just turned 60,000 miles the light came on change oil so I started it drove out of the drive way turned around the corner it said you can't shift in drive so I pulled over put it in park put my foot on the brake push the button to start it sound like a hissing sound then it would crank and start I got to the corner to stop and it died out put it in park put my foot on the brake and push the button to start did the same thing making like a hissing sound started to crank after a minute and a half and it seemed to do this in the morning although couple more times during the day. This is a serious problem it can cause an accident I think it's a fuel pump not getting enough fuel.

My truck is using 2-3 quarts of oil a month and I have made over 7 trips to the dealer and still no resolve Jeep sold me a complete lemon and I'm not going to stop until I reach someone to get this matter taken care of.

I bought this car as a 1 year old vehicle with less than 20k miles. Since my first oil change, my mechanics have mentioned that it is losing quite a bit of oil. The jeep has died in intersections 9x due to low oil pressure. The vehicle crossed 60k miles a month ago, and is now misfiring. After a leak down test was performed, they stated that the engine needs to be replaced due to a 40% leak on cylinder 3 and a 30% on all other cylinders. Unfortunately, the engine is now out of warranty.

Vechile is consuming oil every 1000 miles

The engine suddenly shut-off while operating. The engine would not restart. There is a potential risk of causing an serious accident on the road. On the dashboard the key symbol light is on. On Tuesday of this week when called Chrysler's Customer Service and was informed that symbol is error is for the Passive Entry System. This error message prevent the engine from restart. The vehicle was towed to the nearest Jeep Chrysler dealership. Now, 2 days later there is no recall on the passive entry system and now the vehicle needs over $1600 worth of service repairs. They never address why the key symbol is on the car. appears that their an an issue with this and a recall is in order. Also, it may be the recall from 2018 # U87 with the circuit board and electrical.

It is using an enormous amount of oil. When it gets too low, it shuts off. I have been in the middle of a turn or in an intersection when this happens. It had a recall/fix by the manufacturer but it did it again. Back in the shop. I had to put over 4 quarts of oil in it.

ENGINE OIL CONSUMPTION ISSUES

A COUPLE OF TIMES MY JEEP RENEGADE 2018 STALLED WHEN I WAS DRIVING, SAID SOMETHING ABOUT LOW OIL PRESSURE WHEN I ALREADY DID AN OIL CHANGE, ALSO SAID ON THE DASH THAT THE GEAR SHIFT WASN'T WORKING AND SLOW DOWN AND STOP, I COULDN'T IMAGINE IF I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY THAT WOULD'VE BEEN A BAD ACCIDENT. I SAFELY PARKED, TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE AND STARTED BACK UP. TOOK IT LAST YEAR TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAID THAT WAS A SAFETY THING AND THIS YEAR OCTOBER 30TH 2020, I TOOK IT TO CHECK WHY IT KEPT SAYING LOW OIL PRESSURE WHEN THE OIL IS NEW AND I WANTED TO KNOW IF WAS LEAKING. I CALLED THE DEALSHIP AND I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TODAY TO START AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST. I DROVE LESS THAN 4,000 MILES BETWEEN OIL CHANGES BEFORE I BROKE DOWN AGAIN. THE JEEP GIVES NO WARNING OR LIGHT INDICATION WHEN THIS HAPPENS. I AM THANKFUL I WAS NOT DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY CAUSING A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THE JEEP IS BURNING THROUGH SOME SERIOUS OIL.

I ORDERED SOME FOOD AND DROVE TO EXIT OF THE PARKING LOT AND THE CAR STALLED COMPLETELY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THE CAR DIDN'T FLASH ANY LIGHTS. THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST FCA FROM OTHER PEOPLE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEMS I AM EXPERIENCING BECAUSE FCA HAS KNOWN ABOUT THESE ISSUES FOR YEARS AND HAS DONE NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM.

THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN WITHOUT WARN TO DISCOVER NEED REPLACE ENGINE DUE NO OIL EVEN I HAD THE OIL REGULAR FAITHFUL CHANGE ALL TIME AT THE SAME DEALERSHIP.*DT*JB

ENGINE STALL WHEN OIL IS LOW AND POWER STEERING WENT OUT WITHOUT A WARN. THERE IS NO OIL LOW WARN OR ENGINE WARN. NONE OF THE LIGHT COME ON FOR OIL CHANGE OR OIL PRESSURE. IT ALMOST CAUSE ME WRECK THE JEEP CUZ NO CONTROL WHEN IT SHUT DOWN. TOOK TO THE DEALERSHIP TO FOUND OUT THERE IS NO OIL IN ENGINE WHICH FAITHFUL CHANGE OIL AT DEALERSHIP. NO DASH WARN, I ALMOST REAR END CUZ IT SUDDEN SHUT DOWN. WHEN I TURN THE SHARP I CAN FEEL BEEP BEEP GOING OFF.

I PURCHASED MY 2018 JEEP RENEGADE IN FEB OF 2019. I HAD UNDER 5K MILES ON IT AND TOOK IT ON MY FIRST ROAD TRIP. I MADE IT TO COLORADO AND THE VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING AT LEAST 12 TIMES. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS OR ANYTHING. I HAD THE VEHICLE TAKEN TO 4 DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS AND NO CODES OR ISSUES WERE FOUND. I DEALT WITH FCA WHICH WAS A NIGHTMARE, AND ALL THEY OFFERED WAS A FREE WARRANTY. I LET THEM KNOW I DONT FEEL SAFE IN MY VEHICLE MULTIPLE TIMES. I THEN TOOK MY VEHICLE ON THE FIRST ROAD TRIP THIS WEEKEND TO LUBBOCK AND ONCE AGAIN IT STALLED OUT 4 TIMES WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH. I DROPPED IT OFF AT THE DEALERSHIP YESTERDAY AND NO ISSUES WERE FOUND AGAIN. THERE IS A SAFETY RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE FOR THE EXACT SAME ISSUES YET MY VIN DOESN'T FIT...

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 JEEP RENEGADE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE JERKED, VIBRATED AND STALL WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ATLANTA WEST CHRYSLER DODGE LOCATED AT 1251 THORNTON RD, LITHIA SPRINGS, GA 30122, WHERE THE MECHANIC FLASHED THE PCM AND TCM DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION FAILURES HOWEVER, THE FAILURES RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.

CONSTANT ENGINE STALLING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND NORMAL SPEEDS CAUSING ALL ENGINE POWER TO CEASE IN MY VEHICLE LEAVING IT TO THE MERCY OF MY BRAKES WHICH LOCK UP UPON POWER LOSS AND MAKES IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO STOP. BROUGHT VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES JUST TO BE TOLD THAT THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. IT CONTINUES TO HAPPED AND I HAVE ALREADY HAD ONE SMALL COLLISION AND HAVE ALMOST BEEN FORCED OFF OF A CLIFF 2 TIMES SINCE THESE PROBLEMS HAVE STARTED.
