I experienced electrical issues that resulted in loss of steering and difficulty turning my 2021 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. The steering became very hard to turn, and warning lights were present. This created a safety concern because the vehicle was difficult to control. I took the vehicle to an authorized Jeep dealership in Midwest City, Oklahoma. The dealership diagnosed the issue as a fuse array and attempted a repair. The vehicle remained at the dealership for approximately five days. After the repair attempt, I was informed that the fuse blew and that the vehicle now requires replacement of the power steering assembly. I was unable to afford the additional repair. The vehicle was returned to me with the original steering problem unresolved and remains difficult or unsafe to operate. I am reporting this because the vehicle experienced loss of steering, a serious safety issue, and was returned unrepaired after a failed...

Started driving home and heard the vehicle making clinking noises. Then the service 4wd light came on. It slips in shifting almost like the vehicle shuts down for a sec and then comes back. When you are sitting the vehicle will randomly jerk forward even in park mode. Like the brake releases and then comes back. It's very unsafe and with it shifting the way it does the actuator is failing which in return will cause a very bad accident. This car can just shut down at any given moment.

Randomly, and without warning, the instruments, gauges, and displays will switch to Italian along with cluster and radio display settings reverting to default settings, auto door locks and paddle shifter becomes inoperative (with no menu to enable), pedestrian emergency brake (peb) lamp or forward collision warning (fcw) lamp turns on with no way to disable, units of measurement including speed, temperature, etc. change to metric and many other random settings change as well. ***This is clearly a dangerous situation because of all the functions and gauges that change, and the fact it is difficult if not impossible to recover from this due to the language of the setting menus, and the complexity of discovering and navigating through all these changes. The dealer charge me $300 diagnostic fee before resetting the software. Time goes by and it happens again. Dealer says there is nothing they can do and to wait for...

There is a module that needs some sort of update I have power but my steering completely went out. All the lights in my dash came on, and my odometer started blinking. Ive read that newer models the 2023 edition also has this problem and has an open recall right now.

One day, I tried to start my vehicle using the push start button, and it fell off into a hole. There were no indications or warning signs that the button was loose or needed to be replaced. When I took my vehicle to the dealership where I originally purchased it for routine maintenance, they never mentioned that the button had worn out. If it were an emergency situation where I had to turn the vehicle off and the button had randomly fallen off, there would be no other way to turn the vehicle off or on.

Randomly, and without warning, the instruments, gauges, and displays will switch into a language I do not speak or understand (Italian). Coinciding with the switch to Italian language, cluster and radio display settings revert back to default settings, auto door locks and paddle shifter becomes inoperative (with no menu to enable), pedestrian emergency brake (peb) lamp or forward collision warning (fcw) lamp turns on with no way to disable, units of measurement including speed, temperature, etc. all change, and many other random settings change as well. ***This is clearly a dangerous situation because of all the functions and gauges that change, and the fact it is difficult if not impossible to recover from this due to the language of the setting menus, and the complexity of discovering and navigating through all these changes. I have taken it to the dealer twice, and they say there is nothing they can do...

I just discovered my IPC module is faulty and has been faulty. My vehicle has been putting itself into park while driving multiple times now in the little over 2 years I’ve had it. Along with many other electrical issues (power steering going out) engine not cutting off after putting it I to park and cutting the jeep off. Dash going out. Biggest issue is my vehicle causing me near miss traffic accidents. The dealership it was purchased from, certified. Hid service history reports at the sale. Also returned this vehicle multiple times without acknowledging the issue or even telling me they didn’t repair the issue. Last time it was picked up from Matt Bowers Jeep in Baton Rouge within 30 mins the issue was happening and more (rpms shooting up and Jeep taking off without giving it gas). I went public and another dealership reached out to help me....

My vehicle was experiencing the exact same HVAC/AC issues described in Customer Satisfaction Notification Z33 for the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Although the campaign specifically lists my make, model, and year, Stellantis claims my VIN is not covered. I was forced to pay $175 for the same repair listed in the Z33 document (HVAC module flash, Labor Code 18-Z3-31-82), and this should have been covered. Stellantis is refusing reimbursement even though the issue and fix are identical.

While driving at 60mph, the vehicle became unresponsive and electronically shifted into park unexpectedly. No warning lights were present, and the dealership's service department could not replicate the issue.

Upon startup, power steering service needed, no AEB, no lane departure warning available. Power steering does not work.

The vehicle didn’t automatic update of its “UCONNECT” system without warning after stopping at a gas station. Once the vehicle was turned back on after the update was completed there was a light on my dashboard signaling that the forward collision warning system is off. Some other things happened as well such as all my settings were reverted back to factory settings, and the menu screen was in Italian. After online research, it seems that this is a very common problem with the specific model. I was able to revert everything except for the Ford Collision , warning, which still states that it is OFF, after the update. After communicating all this information with Jeep, they want me to pay for a repair that was due to their system update.

My dash cluster is completely blank. I am merely reporting this to the NHSTA for purposes of record and it being a very unsafe situation in not being able to see my speed among many other safety issues the cluster provides. This is a HUGE safety concern and caused me a great amount of stress trying to drive to work today. It looks as though Jeep has already provided a recall for a very similar issue with their Jeep Wranglers & Gladiator vehicles. I own a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L - Attitude model.

The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L has has numerous electrical issues. The screens glitch while driving, auto stop start system does not work, back hatch will not close sporadically. These issues are happening to many Grand Cherokee L owners and the dealership says they are "known issues". Batteries have been replaced and issues persist. The electrical system issues are now causing the car to drive inconsistently.

Jeep recently pushed an update through the vehicle over the air. Since the update the forward collision disable warning light has been illuminated on the front cluster. All attempts to correct the issue have rendered useless. The update has caused the safety feature of the front collision warning (sound and/or breaking) inoperable.

The forward collision warning light came on and will not go off. I have had the sensors tested for recalibration and the test showed that the sensors are working. Light is still on. MOPAR is aware of this issue as there are dozens of complaints in online forums and a STAR online publication has been published by MOPAR Case number:S2108000249

I was due for an inspection sticker and my vehicle did not pass due to it initially during and not having driven enough miles to reset the code. I had drove enough miles and was going to get it reinspected but the battery died again. I had jumped my vehicle and drove it to reset the code again however upon stop at a red light the car turned over and wouldn’t start up again. I had three of my kids in the car and can’t imagine if I was not close to home with them or on a highway when this happened. There were no warnings and the police had to call in tow due the hazardous situation. The dealership said the issue was that the radio was causing battery drainage of both batteries in my car.

The dash lit up with all lights and it said SOS Power STEERING is out. I could not turn the wheel. The lights such as my miles was blinking, the seat belt was flashing along with dinging even though my seat belt was on. There has been recalls due to power steering issues but my car isn't on there. It put me and my son at risk for a terrible accident. I have taken it to a dealership. There were no warnings prior to this incident.
