Instrument cluster went dark

The instrument panel cluster went out. I have no access to check engine lights, warnings, gas information, mileage, tire pressure or any critical information I need to drive safely.

I have a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. My instrument panel cluster was blinking for a few weeks. Now there is no light at all. One can not see the milage, gas, speed, etc. There was a current recall that came out September 2024, however mine was not included. This poses a safety issue as one can not see mileage (oil changes), gas remaining or any other significant messages (air bag, coolant information, brake system, tire pressure, etc) When we brought it to the dealership they said it was not covered yet, but wait it out.

The Instrument Panel Cluster has failed and is blank rendering the vehicle unsafe to drive as vital information is not being presented to the driver. Despite this Jeep Gladiator having been produced and sold in 2020, Stellantis Recall and Customer Service Departments are claiming that the VIN does not indicate there is Recall coverage despite the 2019-2024 NHTSA Safety Recall for this known failure. see: [XXX] The local dealer, Hilltop Jeep, in Richmond, CA has confirmed the failure of the Instrument Panel. The center gauge has gone out. It was flashing brightly as it went out. It shows: the speed, the battery voltage, tire pressure, gas remaining, mileage and all of the information from the computer that can be changed. The service department said they didn’t know what could be causing it. Perhaps wiring. I’ve checked fuses and wiring and the battery and can’t find any issues. The other two analog gauges work fine. I don’t know if it’s still ticking off the miles I drive. I assume it is? I’m getting no help and I saw that there was a recall but I’m not in it? Any help would be awesome.

My instrument center cluster display went totally dark while I was driving . It scared me because I had no readouts of the gauges. I could have very easily had an accident.

I have had the same issue with the cluster going out that is recalled on other units of the same year make and model. My entire cluster is dead and will not show any information. The current recall for this same issue should be expanded to cover my VIN as well.

This is in relation to 24V – 652. I know this has been a recall for other models built in the same year, but the recall is not on my particular Jeep for some reason. I am having the exact same issue. The instrument cluster panel has gone out and does not work and needs to be replaced. It is the same issue that is being had with a 3.5 screen, but it is now happening on the Rubicon edition, and it is not under the recall which does not make any sense. The 7" Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) began flickering constantly in January 2025 then stopped turning on altogether in May 2025. A similar issue led to safety recalls for Jeep Gladiators and Wranglers with 3.5" IPCs. This is much more concerning for owners with 7" IPCs, as these versions do not have analog temperature and fuel gauges. A dealership (Bayside King George, VA) first observed the flickering when test driving the vehicle after performing the last safety recall. I have not brought the vehicle back since the display stopped turning on because dealerships regularly charge ~$2,000 and hold the vehicle for an extended period to fix this with a replacement IPC. Losing the digital speedometer and ability to observe what speed the cruise control is set to, fluid temperatures, tire pressure, and battery voltage is very concerning, and it is puzzling why Jeeps with 7" IPCs, which are harmed more due...

While driving in rush hour traffic, stop and go driving, a service shifter message started to intermittently appear, then the forward collision warning message started to frequently chime in and off, then I lost power steering, check engine light illuminated, other messages auto start stop service, service sway bar disconnect, transmission was stuck in 3rd gear then after a stop it would not shift out of 1st even switching to manual shift mode, was able to pull over to side of road. Turned off the vehicle, used my code reader to clear the codes, started the vehicle back on and everything was clear and vehicle drove as normal. Sure glad it didn’t happen at speed! I have read of other people having the same issue so I wanted it to add my concern as well.

After searching similar issues online, I found that there is an NHTSA Recall Number: 24V-652, Manufacturer Recall Number: 30B that affects Models: 2020–2024 Jeep Gladiator. The 2020 Jeep Gladiator dash Cluster failed on January 28. 44,267 miles, off warranty of 3 years, 36000 miles. No off roading to date. Deemed unsafe to drive by dealer. Part through Chrysler has been "ETA'd" a month at a time, despite weekly updates. I believe this should be reported and investigated throughout the consumer purchases. No warning, driver display went black while driving down the interstate. No idea on gas level, had analog speedometer and RPM, thankfully, but I was 40 miles from my dealer. Manufacturer to date has not "inspected" my Gladiator. They only contacted the dealer to indicate they are "expediting" my part order. Vehicle is available for inspection. It has been sitting outside on the dealer lot since Jan 28, 2025. It was never subjected to the elements prior to this incident: always garaged.

Instrument Panel Cluster went blank creating a safety issue. I cannot see my odometer, gas gauge, and oil and water levels. This is already a recall with other Jeeps but for some reason my VIN is not listed even though I have the same exact issue with my Jeep. I can no longer access mileage or other equipment gauges (e.g. temp, oil pressure, etc.). This appears related to NHTSA Campaign 24V652000 but my VIN was not included in the affected VINs reported. Vehicle has under 80K miles and no misuse.

Instrument cluster has failed at random. No blown fuses etc. no misuse or incidents. Instrument cluster working as normal when started at driven at days start. Started vehicle for second time same day to depart location and instrument cluster completely black and not working. This issue has not fixed itself over time, and is not linked to any other issue causing such. Issue also has not been resolved as a new cluster is almost $500. Instrument cluster not functioning makes it very unsafe to drive as well as makes it impossible to see or find any vital information pertaining to the vehicles health and performance. I can no longer access fuel levels, engine/oil/transmission/etc. temperatures. Oil life, as well as not being able to reset oil life when/if oil is changed. Gauge cluster went blank randomly, no prior warnings, it just went out while driving. It has been at the dealership getting worked on, in which they stated this is an issue they have seen with other jeeps. I find this to be a safety issue since you can't immediately view how much gas you have, miles in the car, speed while driving. It has not been inspected by any other entity other than the Opelika Jeep Dealership in Alabama.

Speed digital cluster screen dont work! At all started about 2 weeks ago

The instrument panel cluster (IPC) display went blank and has not come back on. Similar to the description in recall number 24V652.

The LCD screen on the dash indicating special messages, fuel gauge, and speed readout malfunctioned and does not operate correctly. Another recall is in place but not for my specific Jeep.

Loss speedometer and all dash gauges. Known problem on Forums; however NO TSB or Recall to fix issue. Plethora of CEL codes to include causing speed to not display on digital or analog indicators.

Instrument panel with speedometer, gas gage and other components went black. It is available for inspection. My safety has been put at risk due to unknown conditions of vehicle through instrument panel. The problem has been confirmed by a dealer, I was initially told that it was just a "fluke" and it would never happen again, so it was not fixed. Now I find out there is a recall by Jeep, but my VIN number isn't involved. The instrument panel would initially blink and then it went completely black and stays that way.

The 7" Instrument Panel cluster's digital display has gone completely blank. I see that the 3.5" version has been recalled on some years but not the 7". At least with the 3.5" model there is an analog gas gauge and temperature gauge, with the 7" all this is digital. Currently the only way for me to know how much gas I have is to rely on the Siriusxm Guardian feature which links to an iOS app that occasionally updates status. Anecdotal evidence points to a number of individuals, especially in the 2020 jeep Gladiator, that have this issue.

Cluster needs to be replaced mileage@ 116,630. Many other consumers have the same issue. However, no recalls have been issued.

Vehicle shut off spontaneously. All dash lights lit up. No steering, Could not turn .was able to drift to side of highway and avoid being hit from traffic. Would not start for 10 min. After manny attempts finally started but could not shift into gear. Errors on the dash. Had to turn off and on a few times to get going again.

My instrument panel has started flickering off and on and then goes blank. sometimes it will come back on but other times it stays blank. I know there's a recall on some of these but mine isn't one of them.

My Instrument Panel Cluster went out about a week ago. I turned my jeep on in the morning and it was flickering and very hard to read. I found a recall for the same year, make and model as my Jeep Gladiator but my VIN is not included. This is a serious safety issue as most of the time I cannot see my speedometer or my other gauges. I cannot believe there is no recall. Our local dealership is quoting over a thousand dollars to repair when it is obviously an issue with the manufacturer.

The Jeep cluster failed. There is not a recall on this unit. However there is a recall on others like mine.

Entire instrument cluster went out no gages speedometer warning lamps etc.

The dash instrument cluster betweeen the speedometer and RPMs has went out and stopped showing any information. I can’t tell when I am locked into 4 wheel drive, how much gas I have or anything. It’s just a black screen.

The instrument cluster failed resulting in the batteries being drained. This resulted in the vehicle being unable to operate, start and inability to shift. This cause me to be stuck in the middle of traffic.

Instrument cluster shorted and lost power. It is at the dealership. Unable to access vital vehicle information- speedometer, tachometer, fuel, mileage, etc. Other jeeps of similar year have been recalled Component is confirmed failed by dealership where the vehicle has been for the last month.
