Instrument cluster display quit working just black screen
My Jeep Gladiator has recently been having multiple random error messages popping up. ABS warning, service 4WD, service shifter, traction control and others. Dealership charged $200 to diag a bad ABS module and charged $1400 to replace the module and controller. Less than 24 hrs later same issue occurred . Doing my own research this seems to be a common issue not just with Gladiators but other Jeeps as well. Many forums are saying it’s bad wire connectors or broken wires from improper initial installation. Causes issues with speed control, braking, and power steering.
Instrument panel cluster loss power. No prior warning signs before loss of power.
The digital instrument cluster on my 2020 Jeep Gladiator has been completely nonfunctional since late November 2024. This failure means I cannot see the odometer, digital speedometer, and all other vehicle status indicators displayed through the cluster. The problem has been confirmed by an authorized Jeep dealership, which has been unable to secure a replacement part due to a reported supply shortage. Jeep corporate has had this case escalated for months without resolution. As a result, I have been driving without these essential instruments for over 8 months, with no timeline provided and no workaround. In addition to the loss of fuel and mileage visibility (and potentially odometer functionality), I also cannot confirm whether the cruise control is active. This could cause potential safety risks during highway travel. There were no warning lights or error messages prior to the failure. The cluster simply went dark. The faulty component is still...
Loss speedometer and all dash gauges. Known problem on Forums; however NO TSB or Recall to fix issue. Plethora of CEL codes to include causing speed to not display on digital or analog indicators.
Cruise control suddenly turns off. Clock spring issue with steering wheel. Buttons on steering wheel occasionally don’t work
My truck malfunctioned at an automatic car wash. It has approximately 54k miles. I had no warning lights or system alerts on vehicle or Uconnect app. I stopped in the parking lot & put the Gladiator in Park, I left the ignition on. I got off truck & got a towel to clean interior. There are several spaces to vacuum. I put the vehicle in DRIVE to move forward & out of the way of a patron that was going to reverse out. In DRIVE, I pushed the gas pedal in a slight & normal way. The truck REVERSED in DRIVE position. It accelerated to an unknown speed, it felt constant. I pushed break with foot I pushed D with. Right foot. The breaks didn’t work. I tried breaking several times during incident, it was approximately 10 seconds. I didn’t have time to use e- break. I don’t believe back up...
I was driving, accelerating into heavy traffic, and just about to go under an overpass (sunny day), when the Forward Collision System activated and hard-braked me to a stop, nearly causing an accident with the vehicle behind me. Although there was a car in front of me, it was not close and there was no danger of a collision (it was accelerating). Worse, no warnings came from the system until it started braking. This has happened several times, always in heavy traffic, and always on a underpass or lower bridge deck. I'm going to have to turn this system off, because I don't want to get rear-ended. My FCS is on the medium setting.
