The vehicle is a Fifth Wheel RV. Jayco Eagle HT 27.5 2018. The frame cracked, welds broke suspension/springs/equalizers where all compromised and the unit started swaying dangerously on the Interstate. Thankfully we managed to get off the highway without the unit falling over and causing catastrophic damage to us or those around us. The speed limit on the section of the highway is 80 miles an hour. Every semi that passed us almost pushed the rig over. An RV dealership in Salt Lake City still has our rig and have now finished the repairs. The Frame Manufacturer, Lippert have done most of the repairs and the dealership the rest. The rig was inspected and photographed and we have a repair report. There are many documented case of the manufacturing defect and there is an absolute danger of serious injury or death because these units have not been recalled. I can...

I am a ASE Master Mechanic and I do my own servicing. Recently I had some bad tires and bought new ones. Since I had the wheels off, I performed a wheel bearing and brake inspection. The rear left wheel had some small wobbling. When I took off the bearing cap I noticed hardly any grease. I took the hub off and there was hardly any grease on the inside bearing also. And I do mean hardly. It was like someone used a ½ teaspoon of grease for the 2 bearings. The outside bearing was so loose it almost fell apart in my hand. Upon further inspection I noticed the outside bearing and axel shaft showed some heat stress and the bearing race was loose. I changed the bearing and race. Repacked with grease and reassembled.
