Most Recent Complaints
The contact owns a 2010 Jaguar XF. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal fuel odor inside the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the fuel odor was more evident while the A/C unit was activated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The contact stated that the fuel cap was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 12V521000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); as a possible cause for the failure; however, the VIN was not included. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 160,000.
Item was recalled and supposed to be fixed by jaguar recall: 12V521000, however after it was “fixed” the same issue is occurring and the vehicle is leaking gasoline. Jaguar is stating that wither or not it was fixed correctly it has been closed and I would be responsible for repairs although the recall was not properly fixed initially!
The contact owns a 2010 Jaguar XF. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, gasoline was observed leaking from the vehicle. The contact was unsure if any warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer and was not repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V081000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) as a possible solution however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.
