I believe my vehicle has a serious safety defect related to the engine cooling system that creates a fire and safety hazard. Specifically, coolant appears to leak from the cooling-elbow near the turbocharger, following a belt failure that lead to engine overheating and elbow pipe burst leading to coolant leaking on to the turbo heatshield or exhaust components. There was serious smoking when the issue happened and i shutdown on the highway as an emergency which most likely would have lead to an engine-bay fire or complete vehicle fire.. This failure mode and fire risk concern mirrors the defect described in NHTSA Recall 23V-221 (Loose or damaged coolant elbow leading to coolant leak on turbo/heatshield, risk of fire) for different JLR vehicles but ignores the F-pace model which I believe faces similar concern. The issue occurred on 9/2/2025 at approximately 9.30 AM while driving from US23 ramp to M-14, the...
The first issue is the camshaft issue that had a recall on there and i was unaware because there wasn’t any notification sent by Jaguar or the nhtsa. When starting the vehicle it’s very hesitant and has a rough start & idle. Even once the vehicle starts it continuously has a rough feel as if the vehicle is putting or about to cut off. 2. The vehicle constantly loses power and sometimes won’t start. The battery has been replaced and the wires have been tested. When driving the entire vehicle starts to intermittently lose power and everything flickers on and off the entire time. 3. When searching my vehicle information it indicates there’s no open recalls however according to Jaguar corporate office there is an open recall but it’s not displayed on any search because the nhtsa hasn’t notified them.
Vehicle will lose power intermittently while driving and sometimes when you try to start the vehicle it will be come dead. I’ve replaced the battery and the problem still occurs. A few nights in a row the alarm system would just beep for no reason . I changed the key fob battery and that didn’t help either. The engine makes a weird noise and constantly jerks.also the engine shakes extremely bad even though I’ve had a tune up, I’ve called Jaguar consumer services to find out about past recall details and was advised that information wasn’t available to them if the services were actually completed or just cleared out & I’d have to call the service center that completed the recall/repairs. It’s impossible to do so as I’m not the original owner. Jaguar advised they couldn’t help and this is very common for the power train in these vehicles to...
The Check Engine light hasn't worked on our Jaguar F Pace since we bought it despite taking it multiple times to multiple dealerships (due to moving to three different cities). We were told by each dealership that it wasn't a issue unless it was flashing. The final straw was in Feb 2024 we were driving on a busy road (A1A) at 55 miles per hour and the car started jerking, making loud noises and then stopped. We had to have it towed and find transportation home. Thank goodness my husband was driving because I'm not sure how I would have handled it. The Fields Jaguar Land Rover of Jacksonville says that we must pay $20,000 to repair the entire engine and Jaguar North America won't do anything to help. Please help us and make sure this issue doesn't happen to anyone else. Defective indicator light like this is a major...
Korea has recalled this model of FPace because the timing chain is known to break with less than 50K miles. I have also read lots of posts on Jaguar forums about 2.0 Diesel FPaces being known to have timing chain failure which necessitated a complete engine replacement. I am terrified that my timing chain is going to come off and damage my engine every time I get in it.
