The contact owns a 2018 Jaguar F-Pace equipped with Continental Tires, Tire Line: Cross Contact XL Sport, Tire Size 265/40/R22, DOT Number: HW6FD44K. The contact stated that while his wife was driving approximately 75 MPH, there was a loud pop coming from the rear-end of the vehicle. The contact stated that his wife saw no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that his wife was able to safely pull off of the highway. The contact stated that there was damage to the driver’s side rear inner fender liner, and to the rear bumper plastic cover which was fractured at one corner nearby the wheel well. The contact saw that the driver’s side rear tire was missing a strip of tread around the entire outside edge of the tire which exposed the steel belt.
