2017 HYUNDAI TUCSON Steering Problems

2017 Hyundai Tucson SE vehicle mileage approx. 54,000 miles Was driving on a Highway doing approx. 65-70mph within 30 minutes of the 1hr and 1/2 drive I had lost complete POWER STEERING. Wheel stiffened up and was scary and difficult to lane change to a slower lane or attempt to pull over at 11:00PM due too safety and could not pull over for over an 1 hour until I was home safely. Had to hold the wheel tightly for an hour. It was very difficult to turn and enter my double wide driveway and took 3 times to get car straight enough and pull in without Power Steering. Turned vehicle off and I had looked into possible issues with the (EPS) Electric Power Steering and read possible loss of Power Steering check MDPS Fuse in vehicle Interior Fuse Panel for blown fuse and all was Fine with that Fuse.. Then...

The power steering of the vehicle suddenly stopped working. We had the car towed, and after inspection we were told that the steering column had failed. We were expected to purchase a new original part from Hyundai, which we did. After waiting a week, we were told that the replacement that was sent did not work and was defective. This has happened again and again, and we are currently waiting for our 4th part from Hyundai. Hyundai corporate told our auto shop that they "opened a case" to see why these parts are defective. I'm hoping that they eventually get to the bottom of this and can fix our Tuscan. We were lucky that our steering column failed on the driveway at our home, but I would imagine it could case quite a bad accident if power steering went out suddenly on someone else.

1. After driving the car and turning it off, I get a loud bang coming from a gas tank. 2. Sometimes when making a hard right or left turn steering wheel vibrates, and the warning light for all wheel drive system comes on. When I turn the car off and restart it, it goes away. 3. After software installs due to recalls, when I accelerate my radio occasionally shuts off on its own, and then we’ll come back on on its own. 4. After turning the car off when I restart it occasionally the clock in calendar revert to 00:00 for the time and the date resets to 1/1/20.

I took in my 2017 Hyundai Tuscon after the engine had stalled while driving. While in the shop, the engine was replaced which was part of a recall (Campaign 209) and also recalls 195 and 966 was addressed. After the repairs and driving home from the dealership, the engine and air conditioning started making weird noises and the following warning lights went on: ABS, power steering, and electronic stability control. When this happened, steering became difficult. We brought the car in the shop, but they denied there was any problem. Within two days after brining the car back to the dealership, the same problem occurred. And now the car will not even turn on.
