Lift gate closes by itself I have to put a pole to hold it up and it won’t hit me, it says the air bags needs to be serviced, stabilitrak keeps going off, ball bearing needs work. Radio won’t turn on no sound on air signals, the body chasis something popped while driving, the tracking control keeps turning off, the seats move while driving, catalytic converter are moving car only go 12 mpg.
The contact owns a 2008 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that while her daughter-in-law was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle made a popping sound, and then the fuse box near the passenger's side headlight caught fire. No warning light was illuminated. The contact's daughter-in-law was able to exit the vehicle. There were no injuries, and medical attention was not received. Bystanders called the police and fire departments. The fire department arrived and extinguished the fire. Police and fire department reports were filed. The fire chief informed the contact that the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction. The vehicle was towed to the residence and had not yet been deemed totaled by the insurance company. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
The contact owns a 2008 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that the battery had previously been replaced; however, the battery failed to retain a charge. The contact had to recharge the battery every day to start the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that water had leaked from the windshield and cowl to behind the glovebox, causing the battery to fail; however, no repair was recommended. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.
Head gaskets and engine default and ground wire system defaulted.
The air bags light came on with no reason truck never being in a crash, the abs and the off road light is on too, the break lights are on while you don't step on the pedal and they go off when you step on it...
The headlights don't work even after replacing. It rains in the vehicle from the sunroof. The gas tank isn't registering even after fixing it. So the engine doesn't know how much to put out etc etc and it makes the car jerk horribly. This vehicle is a fire hazard due to raining inside on everything upfront. I have kids I pray nothing happens!!
Well my back trunk doesnt worrk well i open it but it closes half way it almost closed on me and its done that more then 3 times and im not sure why its scary cause my child almost got hit with it not opening right.
Vehicle has a sunroof drainage issue. Water leaks in through the corners of the sunroof and spills into the dashboard and under the carpeting. The vehicle has suffered electrical damage, corrosion, and mold because of the sunroof drainage issue. I have seen forums with hundreds of other owners who have suffered the same exact sunroof drainage problem with their 2007-2008 GMC Acadias. GMC says my vehicle is not listed in the recall, but I find that laughable. There are way too many Acadia owners that have this exact issue for it not to be a problem with all Acadias.
SunROOF IS CLOGGED RAIN HAS GOTTEN INSIDE VEHICLE SOAKED UP THE FLOORS THE INTERIOR UP BY THE SUNROOF. GMC MADE RHIS MIDEL HORRIBLY AND THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH PEOPLE FILING OR JUST DON'T CARE. IT MESSES UP THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THEY NEED RO RECALL THE SUNROOF. RECALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEM ALONG WITH IT. SUNROOF IS CLOGGED
No sound wires behind fuse box are bad
VEHICLE WILL CUT OFF, STILL RUNS AFTER SWITCH IS OFF, WHEN MAKING A TURN POPPING IN THE WHEEL, STEERING GETS HARD WHEN MAKING A TURN, SOMETHING KILLS BATTERY AND IT LEAKS INSIDE, THIS HAPPENS WHETHER IN MOTION OR NOT
THERE IS WATER THAT COMES DOWN INTO THE WIRING HARNESS OF ALL OF THE DOORS. I AM ABLE TO TAKE THE WIRING HARNESSES OFF AND TONS OF WATER DUMPS OUT. THIS HAS CORRODED MANY OF THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS. THE CORROSION HAS LED TO LOCKS WINDOWS MIRRORS AND SPEAKERS NOT WORKING. PLEASE RECALL THIS.....
THE RPMS SKYROCKETED WHILE DRIVING AND AS THE CAR WAS PULLED OVER IT CAUGHT FIRE. THE FIRE DEPT SAID IT TOOK PLACE IN THE ELECTRICAL PART OF THE MOTOR AND BURNED THROUGH THE FUEL LINE. IGNITING THE FUEL
MY PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT HAS BEEN ON SINCE I GOT THE CAR IN MARCH OF 2020. I HAVE JUST REPLACED MY LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS OCTOBER OF 2020 AND NOW THE DRIVER SIDE LIGHTS DOESN'T WORK. ON THE DASHBOARD THE LIGHT THAT'S SUPPOSE TO SHOW WHEN YOUR BRIGHT'S ARE ON, DOESN'T COME ON ANYMORE AND I WAS IN MOTION WHEN I REALIZED THEY HAD STOPPED WORKING.
BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE USED, WAS FINE AND WAS A GREAT CAR FOR MONTHS UNTIL THE BATTERY WOULD NOT KEEP A CHARGE. TOOK IT TO AUTO ZONE THEY TESTED MY BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR ALL WAS GOOD THEY CHARGED UP MY BATTERY FOR ME. THE BATTERY LASTED TWO DAYS NEXT TIME I WENT TO START IT IT WAS DEAD. WOULD HAVE TO DRIVE IT EVERY DAY TO KEEP A CHARGE ON IT. EVENTUALLY WENT AND BOUGHT A BRAND NEW BATTERY. ONLY AFTER A FEW DAYS THE BATTERY WAS DEAD AGAIN. ON A BRAND NEW BATTERY IT WOULD NEED TO BE DROVE EVERYDAY TO KEEP A CHARGE. IT'S TO THE POINT WHERE I WILL HAVE TO JUMP IT TO DRIVE IT AND THEN IT WONT EVEN KEEP A CHARGE FOR A HOUR. BRAND NEW BATTERY. NOTHING WRONG WITH THE ALTERNATOR. NO LIGHTS , ETC. BEING LEFT ON. NOT SURE WHAT TO DO WITH...
THE RADIO RANDOMLY STOPPED WORKING A FEW WEEKS AGO AND THE SIGNAL LIGHT YOU CAN'T HEAR. NO BEEPS AT ALL ARE BEING HEARD SINCE THE RADIO STOPPED WORKING. IT TURNS ON BUT YOU CAN'T HEAR ANYTHING. YOU ALSO CAN'T HEAR ANY OF THE SENSORS IF THEY LIGHT UP ON THE DASH.
THIS VEHICLE WILL ALL OF A SUDDEN START SWAYING FROM SIDE TO SIDE AND THE STABILITRAK LIGHT WILL COME ON. IN ADDITION, THE TRANSMISSION WILL SUDDENLY SEIZE UP, LOSING ACCELERATION AND NEARLY CAUSING A CRASH. THE ENGINE WILL ALSO STATE THAT IT IS OVERHEATING, ALL OF A SUDDEN AND THE VEHICLE WILL SHUT ITSELF OFF AND SMOKE WILL START COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE GOING BETWEEN 35 AND 65 MPH. ON THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS. MY CHILDREN IN THE BUCKET SEATS IN THE BACK WERE SLEEP AND THEIR HEADS HIT THE WINDOW. THEY SUSTAINED INJURY. THAT WAS ON A REGULAR STREET AND THE SPEED LIMIT WAS 35 MPH. I WAS WITHIN OR SLIGHTLY UNDER THE SPEED LIMIT WHEN THE VEHICLE STARTED SWAYING UNEXPECTEDLY. WHEN THE ROAD IS WET, IT WILL SWAY FROM SIDE TO SIDE ON SIMPLE CURVES IN THE ROAD. I HAVE HAD THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED...

CONTROL BOARD SHOWS SERVICE STABILITY TRACK, SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, LIGHTS ON DASH BOARD GOES ON AND OFF AS IF THERE'S ELECTRICAL ISSUES. STABILITY TRACK LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF.
EVEN THOUGH I HAVE BEEN TOLD THE RECALL ON THE LIFTGATE WAS PERFORMED THE LIFTGATE STILL CLOSES ON ITS OWN AND HAS HIT ME AND OTHERS MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE HEAD.
WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK
VEHICLE WAS SOUTHBOUND ON COUNTY ROAD AND ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN AT THE INTERSECTION, WHEN THE CAR STRUCK THE SOUTH EMBANKMENT OF THE T INTERSECTION, AS DRIVER WAS UNABLE TO NAVIGATE THE TURN. NONE OF THE SIDE OR FRONT AIRBAGS IN THE CAR DEPLOYED AS A RESULT OF THE CRASH. I AM ALSO UNSURE IF THE SEAT BELT HAD OPERATED CORRECTLY (SEAT BELT WAS BEING WORN AT THE TIME OF THE CRASH). THE DRIVER'S HEAD HIT THE SIDE WINDOW AND AS A RESULT HE SUSTAINED A HEAD INJURY AND AN EYE INJURY RESULTING IN OPTIC NERVE DAMAGE AND COMPLETE LOSS OF VISION IN THE EYE. I UNDERSTAND THERE WERE PROBLEMS WITH THE AIRBAGS ON THESE VEHICLES WITH A POSSIBLE RECALL ISSUED. I DO HAVE ALL THE CORRESPONDING ACCIDENT REPORTS, MEDICAL REPORTS, ETC.
WHEN I TURN THE IGNITION KEY TO OFF WHEN I CAME HOME OF WORK THE VEHICLE STAYS RUNNING FOR 10 TO 50 SECONDS BEFORE IT STALLS OUT.I TRY TO TURN ON THE IGNITION 4 HOURS LATER THE BATTERY IS DEAD.MY 2008 ARCADIA IS PARKED AT MY HOME. I WILL NEED A JUMP START TO GO ANYWHERE BECAUSE THE BATTERY IS DEAD.I HAVE TO UNPLUG THE BATTERY AFTER I PARK THE 2008 ARCADIA.WHEN I COME HOME OR TRY TO START THE VEHICLE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE IGNITION KEY WAS SWITCHED TO THE OFF POSITION HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE REMAINED RUNNING FOR APPROXIMATELY SEVEN MINUTES BEFORE TURNING OFF. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN JUMP AND STARTED IMMEDIATELY. THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED AND SAT IDLING FOR A FEW MINUTES. THE CONTACT AGAIN ATTEMPTED TO SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE REMAINED IDLING FOR AN ADDITIONAL 15 MINUTES. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC THAT THE ELECTRICAL FAILURE WAS COMMON IN SIMILAR MODEL VEHICLES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 139,000.
I'VE HAD MY GMC ACADIA FOR ABOUT 4 YEARS NOW. I INITIALLY (WITHIN 30 DAYS OF PURCHASE) HAD ISSUES WITH THE WINDOW MOTOR BECAUSE MY WINDOWS WEREN'T GOING UP WHEN PRESSING THE BUTTONS ON EITHER SIDE UP FRONT. CARMAX FIXED THE ISSUE. WELL, I'M STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM TODAY EXCEPT THE PASSENGER SIDE BUTTON WORKS OCCASIONALLY TO ROLL UP THE FRONT WINDOW. THE DRIVER SIDE BUTTON WORKS FINE FOR THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW AND BOTH OF THE REAR WINDOWS. IT DOESN'T WORK TO ROLL UP THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW. THIS HAPPENS WHETHER MY VEHICLE IS PARKED OR IN MOTION.

THE MANUFACTURER AND HIGHLY BUICK GMC (3535 WEST LOOP 820 SOUTH, FORT WORTH, TX) WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.

THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V118000 (AIR BAGS) AND 10V240000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) WITH THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 156,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
MY CAR HAS BEEN LEAKING INSIDE DUE TO MANUFACTURER DEFECT WITH THE SEAL OF THE WINDSHIELD AND IN TOP AND CAUSING ELECTRICAL ISSUES FOR CAR ONE EXAMPLE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AND ETC
THIS CAR HAS LEAKED SINCE THE DAY I BOUGHT IT. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT IT FROM MULTIPLE TIMES. THE LAST TIME THEY LOOKED AT IT THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS A LEAK BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND WHERE IT WAS. MY AMP HAS SHORTED OUT DUE TO ALL THE WATER AND I CAN IMAGINE WHAT'S NEXT. I AM SO SCARED TO DRIVE MY CAR BECAUSE OF WHAT COULD GO OUT NEXT. I WISH GMC WOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT ALL OF OUR ISSUES WITH THE SAME WATER LEAK! I AM GETTING PRETTY TIRED OF GETTING RAINED ON INSIDE MY CAR.
THE SUNROOF LEAKS IN THE FRONT DRIVER SEAT, PASSENGER, AND WATER COMES OUT OF THE AIR VENTS IN THE BACK SEAT AS WELL AS THE DVD PLAYER AND AIR BAGS. THE BATTERY WILL NOT HOLD A CHARGE AND NOW WITH A NEW BATTERY THE CAR STALLS WHEN TRYING TO START IT. THE CAR WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. THE WATER LEAK HAPPENED IN DECEMBER 2018.
TAKATA RECALL IT KEEPS SHUTTING COMPLETELY DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF HIGHWAY AND THIS AFFECTS EVERYTHING STEERING, COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER TO VEHICLE. NO CODES TO INDICATE SOMETHING IS WRONG !!!! EXTREMELY DANGEROUS THIS HAS CONTINUED TO OCCUR EVEN AFTER PARTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED BRAND NEW. MORE THAN 5 TIMES ALREADY. THIS WILL MOST CERTAINLY LEAD TO DEATH. I HAVE 3 CHILDREN WITH ME AT ALL TIMES. THAT'S 4 LIVES THAT COULD BE LOST BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM!!!! . WE HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY LUCKY BECAUSE IT HAS SHIFT DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND BRIDGES WHERE THERE IS NOWHERE TO GET ON THE SIDE BUT REMAIN IN THE LANES WHERE TRAFFIC IS 70 MPH AND UP!!!! THIS HAS BEEN THE MOST UNSAFE CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED. I CAN NOT EVEN TRADE IT IN THE GET A SAFER CAR. WE HAVE COME SO CLOSE TO HAVING MANY ACCIDENTS WITH THIS CAR. THE STEERING JUST FREEZES UP THE ENGINE WILL JUST SHUT DOWN WILL DRIVING. WE HAVE HAD THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED ONCE AND NOT IT NEEDS REPLACED AGAIN. WE ARE NOT HARD ON OUR CARS..I JUST HOPE IT DOES NOT COME DOWN TO HAVING A ACCIDENT BEFORE SOMEONE SEES HOW BAD THIS CAR IS.. THE VEHICLE IS HAVING ISSUES WITH TRANSMISSION, THERE IS A RECALL ON OTHER VEHICLES OF THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL IN A LARGE RANGE OF YEARS. THE RECALL IS A TRANSMISSION SOLENOID. HOWEVER BECAUSE UNDER THE VIN NUMBER IT DOES NOT SHOW THERE IS A RECALL THIS WILL NOT BE FIXED FREE BY DEALERSHIP. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT HAPPENS RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING.
THE VEHICLE TURNS OFF ABRUPTLY WHILE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE AS TURNED OFF IN A PARKED-IDLING POSITION, ROLLING AT FIVE MPH, AND EVEN BETWEEN 60-70 MPH. MOST OF THE TIME WHEN THE CAR SHUTS DOWN, YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO RESTART THE CAR WITHOUT REMOVING THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION AND INSERTING IT TO THE ON POSITION CYCLING THAT MOTION FOUR TO FIVE TIMES. I HAVE RESEARCHED AND SPOKEN TO OTHER OWNERS WITH THE SAME MAKE, MODEL, AND YEAR AS I HAVE AND THEY ARE DEALING WITH THE SAME ISSUE. I AM CERTAIN I AM NOT THE ONLY COMPLAINT REGARDING THIS ISSUE. GMC SAID IT'S NOT UNDER A RECALL BUT I HAVE READ SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT IT WITH THE SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL STATING IT'S A RECALL THIS HAPPENS WHEN IN MOTION AND WHILE STOPED
THIS IS THE WORST VIECHLE WE HAVE EVERY BOUGHT. YOU NAME IT AN IT HAS GONE WRONG. TRANSMISSION TWICE, TIMING, POWER STEERING, TAILGATE, WE HAVE NEVER PULLED ANYTHING WITH OUR CAR. WHEN IT RAINS THE STEERING LOCKS UP.. ONE MINUTE WE ARE GOING 70 AND BAM THE CAR TURNS OFF. I CAN KEEP GOING. GMC PRETTY MUCH JUST SAID OH WELL. THIS HAVE HAPPENED SO MANY TIMES I LOST TRACK.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC ACADIA. THE CONTACT NOTICED WATER LEAKING INTO THE VEHICLE FROM THE WINDSHIELD AND SUN ROOF, WHICH CAUSED THE RADIO, WIPER BLADES, AND TURN SIGNALS TO FAIL. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE BATTERY WAS MOIST DUE TO THE WATER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MAUER BUICK GMC (1111 MN-110, INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, MN 55077), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED DUE TO THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE RADIO AMPLIFIER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE CAUSE OF THE LEAK WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 164,000.
THIS CAR CAME WITH A 30 DAY AND/OR 1000 MILES WARRANTY. WITHIN A WEEK PASS THE WARRANTY IT STARTED. THE RADIO ILLUMINATION STARTED TO GO OUT WE WOULD HAVE TO TAP ON IT TO GET IT TO TURN ON SO WE COULD SEE THE TIME ETC. THEN IT WOULD NOT COME BACK ON AT ALL AND ALL CHIMES WENT AWAY., STOPPED WORKING ALTOGETHER. NO TURN SINGLE INDICATOR, SEAT BELTS, BACK UP WARNING, DOOR AJAR ETC. THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG INDICATOR WOULD SAY NO ONE WHEN SOMEONE WAS SITTING IN IT AND WHILE DRIVING BLINK BETWEEN THE TWO. ALSO AIR BAG NEEDS MAINTANCE INDICTOR IN DASH WILL FLASH WHILE DRIVING. PARK ASSISTANT ON AND OFF WILL FLASH WHILE DRIVING. THE STEERING WILL MOVE IN ITSELF WHILE DRIVING AND AROUND BENDS/TURNS IN THE ROAD AND WORSENING ON HIGHWAY! TO THE POINT I DO NOT TAKE MY CHILDREN ON. THERE IS ALSO...
THE VEHICLE TURNS OFF ABRUPTLY WHILE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE AS TURNED OFF IN A PARKED-IDLING POSITION, ROLLING AT FIVE MPH, AND EVEN BETWEEN 60-70 MPH. MOST OF THE TIME WHEN THE CAR SHUTS DOWN, YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO RESTART THE CAR WITHOUT REMOVING THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION AND INSERTING IT TO THE ON POSITION CYCLING THAT MOTION FOUR TO FIVE TIMES. I HAVE RESEARCHED AND SPOKEN TO OTHER OWNERS WITH THE SAME MAKE, MODEL, AND YEAR AS I HAVE AND THEY ARE DEALING WITH THE SAME ISSUE. I AM CERTAIN I AM NOT THE ONLY COMPLAINT REGARDING THIS ISSUE. I AM WORRIED ABOUT THE SAFETY FOR MY FAMILY AND MYSELF BECAUSE AS MENTIONED BEFORE, THIS HAPPENS AT RANDOM. THERE SHOULD BE SOME KIND OF RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE, HOWEVER THERE IS NOT. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
THE SUNROOF DRAINAGE TUBES GET CLOGGED AND LEAKED WATER WHICH CAUSED THE FUSE BOX IN THE DASH TO BE FILLED WITH WATER. ALSO FLOODING ALL THE FLOORS AND THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT INSIDE THE CAR. WHICH IN RETURN CAUSES THE CAR TO NOT SHUT OFF WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY OFF AND TAKE IT OUT. IT ALSO CAUSES ALL KINDS OF SENSORS AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS TO COME ON ON THE DASH LIKE SERVICE AIRBAG SERVICE STABLE TRACK CAUSES THE TRACTION CONTROL TO TURN OFF FALSELY TELLS YOU THAT ENGINE OIL NEEDS CHANGED ALSO CAUSES THE BATTERY TO GO DEAD FOR NO REASON ALSO DISPLAYS AC OFF ENGINE HOT
LIFT GATE BEGINS TO OPEN AND STARTS GOING BACK DOWN 3/4 OF THE WAY. CAUSING HEADS/FACES TO BE HIT BY LIFT GATE WITH NO WARNING.
WHEN IT RAINS, WATER GETS INTO CIRCUIT BOX AND SHORTS OUT ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. VEHICLE WILL NOT START. WHEN VEHICLE IS JUMPED, VEHICLE'S PERFORMANCE IS VERY POOR, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REMAINS ON. I WAS INFORMED THIS COULD BE THE RESULTS OF SUNROOF DRAINAGE TUBES NOT WORKING AND CAUSING WATER TO LEAK INTO THE VEHICLE FROM THE "A" POSTS. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHETHER THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY OR IN MOTION.

WHAT'S NOT WRONG WITH THIS CAR?? I BOUGHT IT USED WITH AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. AFTER A YEAR EVERYTHING WENT DOWNHILL. IT HAS BEEN IN AND OUT THE GMC SERVICE AT LEASE 3 TIMES A YEAR. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START. THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON BUT IT ISN'T COVERED UNDER THE AIRBAG RECALL. WHAT ABOUT SAFETY? THERE HAS BEEN A CHECK STABILITY TRAC AND TRACTION LIGHTS ON AS WELL ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. WHEN THOSE LIGHTS COME ON THE VEHICLE DECELERATED WHILE DRIVING ACROSS THE KENTUCKY BRIDGE WHICH ALMOST CAUSED A 12 CAR PILE UP. IN ADDITION, IT ALSO SKIPS GEARS. WHEN TRYING TO SPEED UP IT JERKS INTO THE NEXT GEAR LIKE A HICCUP. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THESE PROBLEMS WERE ELECTRIC AND WEAR COVERED UNDER MY EXTENDED WARRANTY. I SUGGESTED THAT MAYBE THE TRANSMISSION WAS BAD. HOWEVER, THEY STATED OTHERWISE. LITERALLY, 4 MONTHS LATER THE TRANSMISSION IS OUT....
WE HAVE A 2008 GMC ACADIA THAT NOW HAS APPROXIMATELY 164,000 MILES. IT WAS RECENTLY FOUND OUT THAT A WATER LEAK HAS CAUSED THE AIRBAG SYSTEM TO BE COME COMPLETELY DISABLED. WATER LEAKS IN THESE MODEL VEHICLES ARE A KNOWN ISSUE AND GM HAS PUT OUT TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS ABOUT THESE LEAKS AND HOW TO FIX THEM. BECAUSE OUR VEHICLE IS OVER THE MILEAGE LIMIT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP IS SAYING GM WILL NOT WARRANTY THE LEAK REPAIR OR THE DAMAGE TO THE AIRBAG SYSTEM FROM THE LEAK. WE ARE NOW FACED WITH A BILL OF $1600 TO REPAIR THE AIRBAG SYSTEM AND UNKNOWN AMOUNT TO REPAIR THE WATER LEAK AND ANY OTHER DAMAGE CAUSED BY IT TO THE VEHICLE. WHAT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND IS WHY A LEAKING SUNROOF WITH ADMITTED FACTORY DEFECT ISSUES FROM THE MANUFACTURE HAS A MILEAGE LIMIT FOR WARRANTY REPAIRS. I CAN UNDERSTAND A TIME LIMIT....
I HEAR WATER SWISHING AROUND IN THE CEILING, HOWEVER NOTHING SEEMS TO BE WET. THE SUNROOF IS ALWAYS CLOSED. TWENTY MINUTES INTO THE DRIVE TO WORK, THE EMERGENCY BRAKE LIGHT ON THE DASH BOARD CAME ON WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY (EVEN THOUGH THE BRAKE WAS NOT ENGAGED).... THE DASH BRAKE LIGHT AND CHIME SOUND CONTINUED UNTIL I REACHED MY DESTINATION. WHEN I FINALLY STOPPED AND TURN THE CAR OFF AND ON...BOTH HAD STOPPED. AFTER COMPLETING MY WORK DAY, I STARTED THE CAR AGAIN AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE DASH LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN...THE BRAKE WAS NOT ENGAGED....I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED...THEN IT WENT AWAY. I STILL HERE WATER IN THE ROOF WHEN I TURN CORNERS.
THERE ARE MANY RECALLS ON THIS VEHICLE. DID DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT THEY FIX THEM AND YET THEY'RE STILL NOT RESOLVED. THESE ISSUES INCLUDE THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, THE AIRBAG SYSTEM, THE STABILITRAK SYSTEM, ISSUES WITH WATER LEAKING THROUGH THE SUNROOF, L]]AS WELL AS WATER LEAKING INTO THE INTERIOR LIGHTS. THERE ARE ALSO ISSUES WITH LIFTGATE WORKING CORRECTLY. ALL OF THESE ARE ISSUES WITH MY ACADIA. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO DO TO HANDLE THIS PROPERLY. THIS CAR HAS TURNED INTO A DEATH TRAP. I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR YEARS TO GET THESE THINGS RESOLVED. I HAVE GOT TO RUN AROUND THE ENTIRE TIME.
