TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC ACADIA XLT2. THE CONTACT STATED THE PASSENGER AIR BAG WOULD INTERMITTENTLY SHUT OFF WHILE THE PASSENGER SEAT WAS OCCUPIED. THE CONTACT STATED THE FAILURE WOULD OCCUR MOST FREQUENTLY IN WARMER TEMPERATURES AND LESS FREQUENTLY DURING WINTER MONTHS. THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE PASSENGER WOULD HAVE TO BE OVER 100 POUNDS IN ORDER FOR THE AIR BAG SENSOR TO REGISTER THE SEAT AS OCCUPIED AND FOR THE AIR BAG TO ENGAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES IN REGARDS TO THE FAILURE YET THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 25,000. UPDATED 09/27/10 *BF UPDATED 10/04/10
