I am writing to formally request an investigation into a potential recall issue regarding a heated seat module and module plug on my vehicle. Below are the details of my vehicle for your reference: * Make/Model: 2015 Ford Mustang Ecoboost * VIN (Vehicle Identification Number): [XXX] * Mileage: 183,367 I have encountered a burning/melted plastic smell along with smoke coming from my heated/cooled seat module box while operating the vehicle. This issue has impacted safety, and reduced functionality. I have contacted the dealership, and had the part inspected but the issue persists. Upon reviewing similar concerns online and through forums, I noticed other owners reporting comparable problems, starting with many different 2015-2020 ford model vehicles, which leads me to believe this may be a widespread issue. I respectfully request that Ford initiate an investigation to determine if this problem warrants a recall. I also ask for guidance on how to...
Wire under passenger sear for heated seats has burning smell. Wire was replaced but happens again. Will need to replace entire plug.
Heated and cooled seats are not sufficiently grounded, causing burnt wiring beneath passenger seat, overcurrent to blower motor. This issue applies to multiple makes and models using the Ford\Motorcraft wire harness part number WPT-928.
HEATED/COOLED SEAT MODULE SHORTED, BURNED, AND MELTED THE WIRING HARNESS. SEAT FUNCTION IS NO LONGER OPERATIVE.
CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEATS STOPPED WORKING. WHILE DIAGNOSING THE ISSUE I FOUND THAT CONNECTOR C3265B ON THE FRONT SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL MODULE WAS BURNED SEVERELY AND MELTED.
WATER HAS LEAKED INTO THE CABIN OF THE CAR FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW. THE LEAK APPEARS TO HAVE COME FROM THE CORNER OF THE WINDOW SEAL AND MADE IT'S WAY INTO THE CABIN AND CREATING A STAND POOL OF WATER. WATER POOLED ON THE REAR FLOOR AND MADE IT'S WAY UP TO THE FRONT OF THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE VEHICLE SAT OVER THE WEEKEND FROM 11/26/2019 TO 11/31/2019. I WAS NOT WITH THE VEHICLE DURING THIS TIME. I LOCKED THE DOORS AND ROLLED UP THE WINDOWS KNOWING RAIN WAS IN THE FORECAST. THE VEHICLE SAT AT MY PLACE OF RESIDENCE DURING SAID WEEKEND.
I WAS IMPACTED BY A TRUCK FROM BACK. I'M THE DRIVER MY SEAT AND SEATBELT DIDNT WORK. I WAS PUSHED TOWARDS FRONT STEERING WHEEL AND SLAMMED TO THE BACK. MY BACK REST WAS IN MY BACK SEAT. MY SEAT BELT NEVER LOCKED. I COULDN'T REACH ANY PEDDLE AFTER IMPACT
PURCHASED BRAND NEW FORD MUSTANG GT PREMIUM 5.0 AUTOMATIC FROM LOCAL FORD DEALER. ON FIRST TEST DRIVE, DID NOT NOTICE PROBLEM. CAR SAT A FEW DAYS PRIOR TO ME LEAVING FOR AN APPROXIMATE 750 MILE RETURN DRIVE HOME FROM VA TO TN. I HAD THE CAR HEATER ON - THE HEATER SEATS ON - NO MODIFICATIONS DONE TO THE CAR - 2 DAYS LATER OUT ON ROAD NOTICED A "STRONG ODOR" ( MORE SPECIFICALLY LIKE "MODEL AIRPLANE GLUE ODOR ). I WAS GETTING DIZZY, SLEEPY, AND VERY NAUSEATED. PULLED OVER RESTED. DROVE CAR WITH WINDOWS DOWN, HEATER ON AS IT WAS COLD. ODOR PERSISTED AND "SICK FEELING" CONTINUED ENTIRE DRIVE HOME. COORDINATING WITH FORD SERVICE CENTER AND BBBAUTOLINE - TOOK THE CAR IN FOR SUB TOTAL OF 5 VISITS TO HAVE ODOR EVALUATED. 6TH VISIT WITH "EXPERT FORD" FIELD TECH WITH SOME SORT OF "DEVICE" TO MEASURE SMELLS ( I...
