I am filing a complaint regarding Ford Safety Recall 23S65 and the way Ford Motor Company have handled my vehicle over the past seven months. My truck has been held at the dealership since July 2025, and the recall repair has still not been completed. Despite this extremely long delay, Ford has not issued a stop‑drive order, grounding order, or any owner notification stating that the vehicle is unsafe to operate. The recall bulletin states the half‑shaft remains retained even if the bolt fails, yet the dealership refuses to release my vehicle, citing “liability.” Ford Customer Service has been unable to provide any documentation supporting the dealer’s refusal. Ford updated the dealer‑facing recall bulletin to require replacement of both half‑shafts if one side fails inspection. However, Ford never sent owners an updated recall notice explaining this change, never informed owners that the vehicle must remain at the dealership, and never...

Driving on the highway at highway speeds, heard clanking then a loud bang, then vehicle would not longer respond to the accelerator so we coasted onto the median. We had the vehicle towed and found out from a Ford dealer that the rear axle had broken due to Ford's failure to repair under Manufacturer Recall Number23S65 NHTSA Recall Number23V896 and that had caused damage to the rear differential. We were fortunate not to have been in or caused a significant accident. I had the vehicle at a Ford dealer in Illinois in 2024, but the recall was not performed due to lack of parts. This incident happened thereafter, in November of 2025, and the vehicle has been off of the road at a Ford dealer in Indiana since. Same story, no parts. Ford offers no timeline for repair, advising it could be 3 months, could be a year - it...

Constant Transmission Issues with the 10R80 Ten Speed transmission. One Complete replacement and Numerous Tear Dow's Since with the Issue Still unresolved. The vehicle we feel is Unsafe and Not reliable by any stretch of anyones Imagination! This Vehicle has 14,700 Miles on the Odometer, as we just don't drive it that Much due to the unresolved Issue's that the FORD CORP deems "NORMAL" Operation's of said Truck??

I have a 2022 f150 2.7l with 46000 miles. I have had issues with the truck ever since I bought it. The safety issue is a few things. One when I put it in reverse my truck shudders and acts like I pressed on the break really fast several times. I also havr an issue with a cold start when I start it up the truck it acts like it wants to die or looses rpms. I here a paddling coming from the intake valves possibly. Im not sure what part is broke but it makes a rattling sound. Iv brought it to the dealership that I bought the truck from and they say we domt notice anything and its been a struggle to get them to actually thoroughly look into it. Im concerned it will lead to an engine failure because it also loses power and wants to die...

I bought the truck and two months later as I was driving the vehicle the rear defrental went out and caused the wheels to improperly balance the speed of all tires as I turned and cause my truck to turn roughly and I almost got in a wreck. I brought it to ford and they seen it needed to be replaced. Mind you its only been a few months. About a year later it has issues again as im driving and I also noticed it was leaking def oil really bad. I brought it in and they said they fixed it. About 7 months later I had issues with it again and they had to repair again. Its very concerning and is a big issue and safety concern.

Issue #1 Transmission while going up steep incline and gears go from gear 10th to 9th gear there is a hard thump, dealership says they will not do anything if it passes their clutch pack test. Issue #2 rear driver shock absorber was replaced at 38,000 miles due to leakage. 4k miles(1month) later the new shocks paint is wore off and has the same markings the old one has, this will cause premature failure and premature rusting. The sock absorber on the other side has no markings and paint is fine (42k Miles old) This may be due to a defective bolt Bolt (w720200 S440 nut I had to have replaced as it was missing..Then few months later the shock absorber went out and was charged ($358 for repair) now I have a premature wearing part installed again seems to be an overall issue with back end suspension

This vehicle has random bursts and loss of power due to the transmission not shifting properly. There is a noise coming from the passenger front that may be tied to transmission failure. Pre collision assist isn’t working due to ECM problem.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving on uneven terrain, there was an abnormal clanking sound coming from underneath the vehicle. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that a front shock suspension needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. Upon further investigation, the contact related the failure to an unknown Technical Service Bulletin. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 36,240.

The structural integrity of the hood and front bumper failed due to unsafe modifications performed by Rocky Ridge and endorsed by Ford Motor Company. The hood's structural reinforcements and crush zones were cut to fit a hood scoop, and sections of the front bumper were removed, compromising crashworthiness. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request and I have documented with images. The modifications to the hood and front bumper compromised the vehicle’s crashworthiness, potentially increasing the risk of severe injury or death in a collision. The removal of structural reinforcements and crush zones on both components prevents them from functioning as designed to absorb and distribute impact forces during a crash, endangering all occupants of the vehicle. The problem has been confirmed by an independent collision repair center, a Ford Certified Collision Center and my insurance company USAA. Both parties have stated that the modifications to the hood and...

The wheel wells on the front of my vehicle do not properly fit the well. One has been replaced twice the other once and recently the dealer made the decision to cut the wheel wells so they would no longer rub. I was told it was the best they could do. The other choice is to keep replacing them when they fail. I am concerned that somthing from the road may fly up in their and get lodged in the exposed under section. I feel there should be another alternative but Ford doesn't want to pay to get a resolution. If those well covers were not needed they wouldn't have them n their in the 1st place. So I know they are needed.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed there was oil leaking from the rear passenger's side wheel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the rear axle bolt was faulty, and the rear axles needed to be replaced. The dealer replaced the rear axles under warranty. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 34,361.

When I took my truck into the dealership to have an oil change and tire rotation done the dealership found that the bolt that holds the hub onto the rear axle had broken so there was nothing holding the hub onto the axle and that the hub and tire could of come off the axle while driving. The dealership said that they had been seeing this issue on other truck

The 2022 Ford F-150 trucks are all having rust issues on the drivetrain and suspension parts. The Ford dealer has admitted there is a huge problem. It seems Ford has eliminated a coating on these parts which has allowed rust to develop even before they leave the factory. I took my truck to a local dealer and he refused to fix it under warranty. By checking the online forums you will see this is a huge problem. Rust does not fix itself. Over time it is very possible these parts will fail. I went online with a Ford customer service representative and was told someone would contact me the next day. That has been three weeks, no contact. I first noticed my rust issues a week after I took delivery of the vehicle
