2012 DODGE RAM 3500 Tires Problems

The contact owns a 2012 Ram 3500 equipped with Duraturn Tires, Tire Line: Travia A/T, Tire Size: 235/85/R17, DOT Number: DOTUFPPFLB1117. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, the two front tires made abnormal sounds. The contact stopped and inspected the tire and became aware that the treads on both tires had separated. The contact stated that he purchased the tires from Pro Puller and contacted the store and made them aware of the failure. The contact stated that he was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to file a safety complaint because there had been several failures reported regarding the tires. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 92,500.

SERVICE DEPT AT DEALER SAID 'PARK IT UNSAFE TO DRIVE..BE 10-12 WKS BEFORE PART CAN BE SECURED TO REPLACE'..CALLED THE RECALL PEOPLE THEY SAID 'ONLY 1 PART PER WEEK GOING TO DEALERSHIPS TO REPAIR 2008-2012 MODEL VEHICLES IN THE 1500, 2500, 3500 SERIES TRUCKS..WENT TO DEALERSHIP ON JAN 27, 2014, THEY PROCLAIMED NOT TO KNOW THE RATE OF REPAIRS PARTS AVAILABLE..SAID THEY CALLED AND FOUND OUT SAME INFO I HAD..BUT THEY WANTED TO WORK A DEAL TO GET US OUT OF THE UNSAFE TRUCK AND INTO A NEWER TRUCK WITH NO DEFAULTS..SAME PRICE, ETC AS TRUCK CURRENTLY ..DIDN'T WORK THAT WAY TODAY, JANUARY 28 WHEN WE RETURNED FOR FIGURES..NEW TRUCK WOULD COST $11,000 MORE THAN WHAT WE NOW OWE ON THE 2012...
