The contact owns a 2012 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would suddenly shut off while driving over a bump in the road. The vehicle taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed that the ignition switch was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 204,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE KEY WAS LOOSE AND CAUSING THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE.
