The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH in the rain, the windshield wipers inadvertently increased speed and the cruise control accelerated the vehicle to over 100 MPH. The contact stated that the electronic braking system and power steering failed. The contact then pulled the neutral override feature to stop the vehicle. The contact then restarted the vehicle and proceeded to his destination. There were numerous unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who was unable to diagnose and determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 87,500.
