ABS Module Failure. All repair parts discontinued from 2008-2014 for Manual Transmissions. Safety issue will not allow operations of Anti lock brakes
THERE ARE NO PARTS WORLD WIDE TO REPAIR THE ABS BRAKE MODULE .PART # 68067398AB. I HAVE CONTACTED DODGE SRT DEPARTMENT @(855)778 8326 CASE # 35139693 AND TRIED FOR 2 MONTHS TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. I RECEIVED A CALL TODAY STATING THE PART WAS NO LONGER MADE AND THERE IS NO DEALER WHO CAN SUPPLY THE PART TO MAKE THE REPAIR. THEY WOULD NO LONGER BE WORKING THIS CASE AND COULD /WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO HELP WITH THE ISSUE. WE DID KEEP THE RECORDING OF THIS CALL AS IT WAS LEFT ON OUR VOICE MAIL. THIS IS PART OF THE BRAKING SYSTEM AND ALSO CONTROLS THE ANTI SKID SYSTEM PUTTING THE DRIVER AT RISK OF NOT BEING ABLE TO CONTROL THE CAR .
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE CHALLENGER. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT LOST POWER STEERING AND THE BRAKES BECAME INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.
UPON STARTING TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOPLIGHT THE CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN & THE BRAKES WOULD NOT WORK. THEIR WAS A VEHICLE STOPPED AT THE NEXT INTERSECTION (4 WAY STOP). TO AVOID HITTING THEM I WENT TO THE RIGHT OF THE STOP SIGN. THERE WAS JUST ENOUGH ROOM IN BETWEEN THE STOP SIGN & A TELEPHONE POLE. I HAD SHIFTED THE CAR TO NEUTRAL, & FINALLY GOT IT STOPPED IN FRONT OF A HOUSE. I WAS VERY SHAKEN UP BY THIS & CALLED MY HUSBAND. HE SAID HE WOULD BE THERE ASAP. A MAN CAME OUT OF THE HOUSE & ASKED ME WAS I OK. I TOLD HIM WHAT HAPPENED & LET HIM KNOW MY HUSBAND WAS ON THE WAY. PURCHASED NEW IN 11/2010. 2 YEARS INTO OWNERSHIP, ON ABOUT 4 OCCURANCES, ENGINE WOULD SHUT OFF, LOOSE STEERING CONTROL AND BRAKES AT THE SAME TIME WHILE MAKING A SLOW RIGHT HAND TURN. PROBLEM DISAPPEARED AND THOUGHT IT WAS A FLUKE OF SOME KIND. NOW 3 YEARS LATER IT HAS STARTED DOING IT AGAIN EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT. WHEN THE ENGINE DIES YOU CAN BARELY STEER AND HAVE TO REALLY PULL HARD ON THE STEERING WHEEL TO KEEP FROM GOING INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. BRAKES DO NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY EITHER, YOU LOOSE ALL POWER BRAKING AND IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO STOP. I HAVE SEARCHED THE INTERNET FOR THIS ISSUE EXTENSIVELY. WHAT I HAVE FOUND IS ABOUT A HUNDRED OTHER DIFFERENT INDIVIDUALS ON SEVERAL FORUM SITES DESCRIBING EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM. NOBODY HAD AN ANSWER TO THE PROBLEM AND FOUND JUST AS MANY DIFFERENT THINGS THAT PEOPLE SAID WERE WRONG RANGING...

HIT BRAKES HARD, TURNED WHEEL TO RIGHT. CAR DIED AFTER WHEEL BEGAN TURNING TO RIGHT/DURING TURN. LOST POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES. VERY DIFFICULT TO: TURN, STOP, AND RESTART. MY 2010 CHALLENGER SRT8 WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION STALLED WHEN MAKING A RIGHT-HAND TURN AT APPROXIMATELY 5:00 PM ON 9/5/12. ENGINE WAS AT NORMAL OPERATING TEMPERATURE AND THE AC WAS RUNNING. I WAS TRAVELLING AT ABOUT 35 MPH AND BEGAN BRAKING TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN INTO A SERVICE STATION. AS I STARTED INTO THE TURN AT ABOUT 10 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED RESULTING IN LOSS OF BRAKES AND POWER STEERING. I WAS ABLE TO COMPLETE THE TURN AND STOP THE CAR WITH HARD BRAKE PRESSURE. NO INDICATOR WARNING LIGHTS APPEARED ON THE INSTRUMENTS. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND RESTARTED THE CAR, BUT THE TRANSMISSION WAS INOPERATIVE. NEITHER DRIVE OR REVERSE WOULD ENGAGE. THIS VIBRATION BEGAN APPROX. 3 MONTHS AGO. IT IS TRANSMITTED FROM THE FRONT BRAKES TO THE STEERING WHEEL PRIMARILY BETWEEN 45-35 MPH. IT IS LESS EVIDENT AT SPEEDS BELOW THAT, BUT STILL OCCURS. CALLED MY LOCAL DODGE DEALER EXPECTING THIS TO BE A WARRANTED REPAIR (11600 MILES) AND WAS TOLD THIS IS A WEARABLE ITEM I.E: WIPER BLADES, TIRES, ETC. I WAS SURPRISED TO SAY THE LEAST.
