The tipm fuel pump relay is faulty causing the car to start intermittently. It also stalled on a main road without any warning with my kids in the car. Luckily I was able to put the flashers on and drift to the side and others were able to get around without any accident. However they came close to hitting myself and others. I have spent over $1,000 at this point fixing items that didn't need to be fixed only to finally find out online that others have this issue and its a known issue for Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler Town and Country but for some reason the recall is only for Dodge and Jeep.
It stalls to turn on even when I changed everything from, fuel pump, fuel pump relay, heater pumps, alternator, new battery. And it still won’t turn on it’s been happening for 4 months now. And I changed things that were recommended. I do my oil change every time I need as well.
The van has a problem accelerating and also seems to stall while driving on the expressway before jumping quickly into acceleration there was a bad storm in Buffalo that I believe contributed to the problems of the Chrysler van
During random times; starting cold, starting warm, coming to a stop, accelarating, on city surface streets or on the freeway, after long drives or just going down the street; the minivan would stall and not restart. Fortunately able to coast to side of road on occassion. Non start condition would last between 15 minutes to days. This last event occured while turning in a busy intersection. Blocked cars and buses in all four directions on a Friday afternoon rush hour, putting ourselves and others at serious risk. There were no warning lights or anything other than a brief shudder before stalling. Roadside service called 911 first to get us out of the way. Towed to local mechanic who duplicated event and found that two separate recalls for faulty fuel pump relay was issued for other models but not our minivan. This family vehicle is now a liability if the fuel...
The fuel pump is sporadically not getting power. This has left me stranded multiple times. I’m worried that this could happen while driving on the interstate and causing an accident.
Upon leaving work my battery (only installed for 3 months) was completely dead. After a co-worker jumped my van off I went straight to Advanced and had them check the battery. It showed something was still on/running however the keys were in my hand and absolutely nothing was on or plugged in. He went ahead and replaced my battery. The next day I went out on errands and it started fine. That evening I was taking my family out to dinner and it would not start. It would crank but not start. I put it in neutral and back into park and it did manage to start. The following morning I went out and it would only crank. The TIPM is failing, not allowing the van to start when it gets so cold out. We were quoted $2000 to get it repaired. We found an article stating this is a common issue and was being repaired by Chrysler.
The vehicle will crank but not start. This happened intermittently at first but is now a consistent issue. Through research I discovered that this is a common TIPM issue on this year Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge vehicles. A recall was placed for Jeep and Dodge however there has been no recall on Chrysler models with the same issue. This issue can cause the vehicle to not start as well as stall while driving which could potentially cause an accident. This recall needs to be in effect for Chrysler model vehicles with the sand issue as the Jeep and Dodge models
2011 Chrysler town and country, starts then shuts off after two seconds. Check engine light came on last night. Remote start disabled. Vehicle will not start via push button, must use key fob in place of pushbutton. Again remote start will not work. Vehicle starts and shuts off right away. From research done, cause being TIPM OR FUEL RELAY.
Fuel Pump Relay- the TPIM
TIPM is defective causing the car hard starting and stall.The fuel pump relay stays on draining the new battery . The car starts then shuts down after 2 seconds. The sliding doors open and close, horn stops, car alarm stops intermittently. I had to temporarily bypass the fuel pump relay.The cost of the TIPM replacement is $1500
MY TIPM IS FAILING SLOWLY. MY STARTER IS PULLING WAY TO MANY AMPS WHEN STARTING. I'VE CHANGED IT TWICE. MY FUEL RELAY HAS FAILED. A LOT OF THE TIMES WHEN I START MY CAR I HAVE AN ICON FOR MY ABS SENSOR COME ON AND THE ONLY WAY TO GET IT OFF IS TO PULL OVER AND RESTART MY CAR. WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON ON MY DASH. MY CAR WON'T DRIVE OVER 60MPH AND MY RPMS WILL RUN HIGH AND WHEN YOU LET OFF THE GAS WHILE IT'S DOING THIS IT WILL TAKE YOU ALMOST TO A STOP WITHIN SECONDS. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NEVER GOES OFF. 2011 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY WITH 114,212 MILES. WHILE PARKED, THE CAR ACTS AND SOUNDS LIKE IT WANTS TO, BUT WILL NOT START. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A BAD TIPM (TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE) AND FUEL PUMP RELAY. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND THE SAME ISSUE IN RECALL P54/NHTSA 14V-530 FOR THE DURANGO AND GRAND CHEROKEE LAWSUIT SETTLEMENT BUT FOR SOME REASON THE TOWN AND COUNTRY AND OTHER CHRYSLERS PETITIONS WERE DENIED. AFTER TALKING TO CHRYSLER, THEY ONLY SUGGESTED THAT I KEEP MY RECEIPTS IN CASE IT WAS ACCEPTED AS A RECALL BUT WOULD NOT GIVE ANY FINANCIAL HELP ON A $1400 REPAIR BILL.
CAR STALLS AND SHUTS OFF, CAR CRANKS BUT WILL NOT START THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES IN THE PAST 24 HOURS, WHILE DRIVING IT WILL UNEXPECTED SHUT OFF, THIS IS A PROBLEM RELATED TO THE TIPM WHICH HAS BEEN RECALLED IN OTHER 2011 MODEL VEHICLES SUCH AS THE JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE AND DODGE DURANGO. I HAVE READ FORUMS WHERE OTHER 2011 TOWN AND COUNTRYS ALSO HAD THIS SAME ISSUE.
THIS MUST BE A RECALL CONCERN. CHRYSLER REALLY NEEDS TO STEP UP AND TAKE CARE OF THIS TIPM ISSUE. THE MOST COMMON PROBLEM WAS A DEFECTIVE TIPM THAT PREVENTED THE ENGINE FROM STARTING. THIS VAN FAILS WHILE THE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN. TODAY 1-4-21, THE VAN IS AGAIN AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS FOR THE SAME ISSUE AGAIN AND AGAIN I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. THE TOWN & COUNTRY WOULD BE RUNNING SMOOTHLY ONE DAY AND FAIL TO START THE NEXT DAY. WHY RECALL CONCERNING THEM WAS NEVER ISSUED????
VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING INTERMITTENT DEAD BATTERIES AND NO START ISSUES. HAD VEHICLE SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING AS WELL TO FUEL PUMP SHUTTING DOWN. AFTER DIAGNOSTIC FOUND THE FUEL PUMP WAS STAYING ON AFTER KEY WAS REMOVED KILLING THE BATTERY. THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH A BAD TIPM MODULE THAT HAD BEEN UNDER A RECALL ON THE PREVIOUS YEARS TOWN AND COUNTRY. CALLED THE DEALER TODAY ANS WAS TOLD ON THERE WERE NO OPEN RECALLS ON MY SPECIFIC VIN.
VEHICLE INTERMITTENTLY WON'T START AND IS STALLING OUT / DYING WHEN GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY
FUEL PUMP RELAY IS STUCK RESULTING IN CONTINUOUS PUMP RUNNING CAUSING DEAD BATTERY OVERNIGHT AND VEHICLE NOT STARTING.
THE VEHICLES BATTERY DIED DUE TO A FAULTY TIPM. AFTER A JUMP START IT WILL RUN BUT ONCE THE VEHICLE IS OFF AND SITTING FOR LESS THAN AN HOUR THE VEHLICE WILL TURN OVER, DIE, THEN WILL CRANK AND NOT TURN OVER FOR A WHILE. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS IS HAPPENING WITH THIS VEHICLE IT HAS A LITTLE LET THAN 70,000 MILES.
WIFE WAS DRIVING. THEN ENGINE WENT TO FULL THROTTLE, WOULD NOT SLOW DOWN. SHE RODE THE BRAKES ALL THE WAY HOME, SWITCHED FROM NEUTRAL TO DRIVE, VAN WOULD JUMP INTO GEAR WHEN SHE WOULD SHIFT BACK TO DRIVE, FELT LIKE BRAKES WERE NOT WORKING WELL ENOUGH (PROBABLY GLAZED). ALMOST WRECKED, COULD HARDLY STOP. VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. *TR
FUEL RELAY ON TIPM IS FAULTY RESULTING IN NOT STARTING AND STALLING WHILE DRIVING. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED BY A RECALL. *TR
APPARENTLY CHRYSLER HAS A PROBLEM WITH THEIR TIPM FROM YEARS 2011 TO 2013. I JUST HAD TO DO A FUEL RELAY BYPASS ON MY 2011 TOWN AND COUNTRY BECAUSE THEY DID NOT TISSUE A RECALL FOR ALL MALES AND MODELS WITH THIS PROBLEM. THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO REFUSE BECAUSE ALL MODELS MOST LIKELY USED THE SAME TIPM.
VEHICLE WON'T START. ENGINE TURNS OVER BUT WON'T RUN. SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY.
MY CAR HAS BEEN OUT OF COMMISSION FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS OFF AND ON. THE AUTO SHOP THAT I SEND IT TO HAS REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP 4 TIMES BEFORE ZEROING IN ON THE PROBLEM WHICH APPARENTLY IS THE TIPUM, AN ELECTRONIC PIECE. AFTER DOING RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET, THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS PIECE FOR ISSUES INVOLVING THE FUEL PUMP STOPPING OPERATION WHILE THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING. THIS RECALL DOES NOT EFFECT MY CAR, BUT THIS EXACT PROBLEM IS AFFECTING MY CAR. I'M WONDERING WHAT'S GOING ON THERE AND IF THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER REPORTS OF THIS. VAN BEGAN HAVING TROUBLE STARTING UP AT AROUND 100,000 MILES. THE ISSUE WAS INTERMITTENT UNTIL A WEEK AGO. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE VEHICLE WOULDN'T CRANK. THE FUEL PUMP WILL NOT ENGAGE AND START THE VEHICLE. MY BATTERY IS GOOD AND WHEN WE BYPASSED THE TIPM, THE VEHICLE CRANKS PROPERLY. THIS IS AN INDICATION THAT THE TIPM IS FAULTY. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE, IT SEEMS THAT IT'S A KNOWN PROBLEM FOR MANY DODGE/CHRYSLER/JEEP MODELS IN 2011. THIS A DEFINITE HAZARD BECAUSE THE FUEL PUMP CONTINUES TO RUN EVEN WHILE EVERYTHING IS TURNED OFF.
FUEL PUMP RELAY PREMATURELY FAILS INSIDE THE TOTAL INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (TIPM) CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL WHILE DRIVING. THE FUEL RELAY FUSE IS NOT REPLACEABLE AS IT IS HARD WIRED INSIDE THE TIPM. THE ENTIRE TIPM UNNECESSARILY NEEDS REPLACED AT GREAT EXPENSE AND LABOR OF NEARLY $1,800 FOR WHAT SHOULD BE AN INEXPENSIVE FUSE. OTHER CHRYSLER/ DODGE/ JEEP VEHICLES HAVE BEEN RECALLED AND REPAIRED FOR THE SAME ISSUE, BUT NOT THE CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY MINIVANS. THE MANUFACTURER AND ITS DEALERSHIPS IS AVOIDING A RECALL SO THAT THIS MODEL 'AGES OUT' AND PERMANENTLY DISPOSED SO THAT IT DOESN'T HAVE TO DO A RECALL.
PERSISTENT ELECTRICAL MOTOR SOUND EMANATED FROM REAR OF CAR AFTER PARKING AND POWERING OFF (CONTINUED AFTER REMOVAL OF KEYS). NEXT DAY BATTERY WAS DEAD, JUMP STARTED ENGINE WITH DIFFICULTY. DROVE FOR SEVERAL HOURS, BUT AGAIN WOULD NOT START AFTER IT WAS SHUT OFF. MECHANIC DIAGNOSED FAULTY TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE, REPLACED AT A COST OF NEARLY $1,500. AFTER REPLACEMENT OF TIPM, NEW ISSUE OF AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT IS ON AND SEVERAL 12-VOLT POWER PORTS INSIDE THE CAR NO LONGER WORK, BOTH NEW CONDITIONS SINCE TIPM REPLACEMENT.
TIPM FAILURE, FAULTY FUEL PUMP RELAY. CAR CRANKS BUT WILL NOT START. FUEL PUMP REPLACED AND SAME ISSUE OCCURS.
VAN BATTERY IS DEAD EVERY MORNING. FUEL PUMP COUNTINOUSLY RUNS EVEN AFTER VAN IS TURNED OFF. SOMETIMES STALES WHILE DRIVING. VERY DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY WITH OUR CHILDREN IN THE VAN.
OUR 2011 TOWN & COUNTRY STARTED HAVING STARTING/STALLING ISSUES ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO - MIND YOU THERE IS ONLY ABOUT 81K MILES ON THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER FIRST REPLACED THE POWER MODULE IN SEPTEMBER, THEN THE ISSUE RETURNED ONLY TO BE CAUSING MORE ELECTRICAL ISSUES. THE CAR WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND IT WAS EXPLAINED THEN THAT THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE POWER MODULE DUE TO A FAULTY RELAY. THIS IS THE EXACT SAME ISSUE THAT OTHER CHRYSLER/DODGE VEHICLES OF THE SAME YEAR ARE BEING RECALLED FOR. THE STALLING WAS DANGEROUS AS IT HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAS BEEN A VERY COSTLY PROBLEM WITHOUT A RECALL BEING ISSUED - ALTHOUGH VEHICLES USING THE SAME ENGINE AND COMPONENTS ARE BEING RECALLED. PLEASE HELP ESCALATE THIS.

THE TIPM ON MY VEHICLE HAS GONE BAD AND THE FUEL PUMP IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, WONT START, ETC. ALL THE TIPM PROBLEMS YOU READ ABOUT IN THE OTHER COMPLAINTS. THIS VEHICLE HAS A 3.6L ENGINE, THE SAME ENGINE THAT THE 2011 DODGE DURANGO HAS THAT HAS HAD A RECALL TO REPAIR THIS TIPM PROBLEM. IT MAKES NO SENSE THAT THIS 2011 CHRYLSER TOWN AND COUNTRY WOULD NOT HAVE A RECALL AS WELL. EXPLAIN THAT TO ME!

VEHICLE CRANKS, STARTER SOMETIMES STAYS ENGAGED FOR EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, BUT FAILS TO START DUE TO FUEL PUMP RELAY FAILURE IN TOTAL INTEGRATED POWER MODULE ( TIPM/FUSEBOX). SOMETIMES WILL START, RUN, THEN DIE. AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS, WILL FINALLY START, STAY RUNNING. KNOWN ISSUE ACROSS MULTIPLE FCA MODELS AND YEARS. CAN PROGRESS TO FAILURE WHILE GOING DOWN THE ROAD. REPAIR COST ~$1000. I VIEW THIS AS A SAFETY ISSUE WORTHY OF A VEHICLE SAFETY RECALL AND FIND IT REPREHENSIBLE THAT DESPITE ALL OF REPORTS REGARDING FAILURE, NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED.
WHEN STARTING WITH PUSH BUTTON SOMETIMES WILL NOT START . OTHER TIMES STAYS ENGAGED. BRAKE PEDAL GETS HARD WITH PUSH BUTTON THAT'S HOW I KNOW IT WILL NOT START WITH BUTTON. HEATER WILL TURN ON ON ITS OWN EVEN AFTER BEING SHUT OFF. CRUISE CONTROL DOES NOT ALWAYS LIGHT UP AND WORK. BACK HATCH WILL NOT OPEN OR CLOSE WITH BUTTON NO CODES PULL UP ON ANY OF THESE ISSUES. I HAVE HAD IT AT 3 OR 4 DIFFERENT MECHANICS AND NOBODY SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. HAVE PULLED UP THINGS ON THE INTERNET THAT SHOWS TEMP BOARD. I HAVE TAKEN THIS VEHICLE IN MANY TIMES UNDER WARRANTY AND NOBODY COULD FIND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. NOW WARRANTY IS OUT AND STILL HAVE NO ANSWERS. THE POWER SHUTS OFF OR THE CAR WON'T START AFTER THE KEY IS TAKEN OUT. I WAS TOLD BY THE MECHANIC I WENT TO THAT SOMETHING WITH THE SPARK PLUGS WAS FIRING INCORRECTLY SO I HAD THAT REPLACED. I ALSO HAD MY AUTO START REMOVED BECAUSE I WAS TOLD THAT WAS AFFECTING THE BATTERY AND FINALLY I WAS TOLD THE FUEL PUMP WAS CONSTANTLY RUNNING WHICH WAS DRAINING MY BATTERY. I WAS TOLD TO PULL THE FUSE FOR THE FUEL PUMP UNTIL I CAN HAVE THE PART REPLACED, WHICH IS TEDIOUS AND THAT STILL DON'T WORK ALL THE TIME. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THE PART HAS BEEN ON BACK ORDER SINCE DECEMBER. AT THIS POINT I AM VERY FRUSTRATED AND I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS CAR UNTIL THE ISSUE IS RESOLVED. FUEL PUMP RELAY GAVE OUT AND UNLIKE THE DURANGO AND GRAND CHEROKEE IT'S NOT ON RECALL IT'S ALSO 1000 DOLLAR PART THAT THEY KNOW IS BAD, IT STOPPED WORKING FOR ME ON THE HIGHWAY HAD TO COAST TO THE ICY SHOULDER AND SLIPPED INTO THE DITCH ALMOST FLIPPED BECAUSE SINCE THE ENGINE WASN'T ON NEITHER WAS THE POWER STEERING

SO I THEN WENT AND REPLACED THE BATTERY THE CAR WAS WORKING FOR A GOOD COUPLE OF DAYS AND STARTED BACK ACTING UP. TOOK IT TO A SHOP AND THEY SAID RHE FUEL PUMP WAS STILL ON WHILE THE CAR WAS OFF DUE TO A RELAY IN THE POWER MODULE SO THEY SAID THEY WILL BE ABLE TO JUST FIX IT BUT WHEN TRYING TO ORDER THE PIECE THEY SAID THAT WAS NOT POSSIBLE DUE TO ITS BEEN A RECALL ON THE TILL WHICH...
TIPM FAILURE, DEALERSHIP WANTS TO CHARGE ME OVER $1000.00 TO REPAIR. VAN STARTED ACTING UP IN THE ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT . WINDOWS ROLLING DOWN, KEY FOB NOT WORKING, CRUISE CONTROL GOING OUT, WIPERS ACTING UP, HEATED SEATS NOT WORKING, AC AND HEAT WEAKENING, INTERMITTENT ISSUE TO START THE VAN, THEN STOPPED RUNNING ALL TOGETHER, NOW WON'T EVEN TURN OVER. THEN I TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP AFTER HAVING BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR TESTED (ALL GOOD) AND HAD TO BRING IT HOME CAUSE THEY WOULDN'T TAKE A PAYMENT PLAN. I LOOKED ON YOUTUBE FOR POSSIBLE ISSUES AND FIXES AND CHECKED MY WIRING TO MY TIPM AND FOUND ONE HARNESS TAMPERED WITH. TAPE CUT AND WIRES CUT AS WELL DIDN'T LOOK LIK THAT WHEN I TOOK IT IN. I'M UPSET BECAUSE I CAN'T AFFORD TO REPLACE SOMETHING THIS EXPENSIVE AND COMMON KNOWN ISSUE. WHY IS THERE NO RECALL ON THIS MODEL BUT OTHER MODELS RUNNING...
VAN WAS HAVING A HARD TIME STARTING. THEN ONE NIGHT I HEARD A HUMMING NOISE WHEN THE CAR WAS OFF. DIDN'T KNOW WHAT IT WAS. THE NEXT MORNING BATTERY WAS AT 0%. CHARGED THE BATTERY AND GOT IT TO START. WHEN STARTING WE HAVE TO TURN IT TO THE ON THEN OFF POSITION A FEW TIMES BEFORE I COULD GET IT TO WORK. WHEN I HEAR THE HUMMING OF THE FUEL PUMP THAT IS RUNNING WHEN THE KEY IS OUT, I CAN PUT KEY IN AND TURN IT TO ON AND OFF A FEW TIMES AND GET IT TO STOP. MY SHOP SAID THE TIPM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IT IS RECALLED ON OTHER VEHICLES BUT NOT OUR VAN. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO COST $710 TO FIX BUT THE PART NUMBER HAS NOW BEEN SUPERSEDED WITH THE FIXED AND THE NOW WILL COST $950 TO FIX. WE SHOULD BE PAYING...
ON FRIDAY MORNING, MY WIFE WENT TO START THE VAN BUT NONE OF THE LIGHTS TURNED ON. AFTER CHECKING THE VOLTAGE OF THE BATTERY, WE FOUND THAT IT WAS COMPLETELY DRAINED. THE NIGHT BEFORE, SHE HEARD A HUMMING NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE AFTER THE VAN WAS OFF. WE WERE ABLE TO JUMP THE VAN TO GET IT STARTED. ONCE IT STARTED, IT RAN GREAT. THE NEXT DAY, WE TRIED TO START IT AGAIN BUT THIS TIME THE ENGINE STRUGGLED TO START. IT TOOK A COUPLE OF TRIES BEFORE WE GOT IT STARTED. JUMPING THE ENGINE DID NOT HAVE POSITIVE RESULTS. WE DECIDED TO TAKE IT TO OUR AUTO MECHANIC AND HE DIAGNOSED A FAULTY FUEL PUMP RELAY. HE FOUND THAT FAULTY FUEL RELAYS ARE VERY COMMON IN 2011-2013 VEHICLES, BUT JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE AND DODGE DURANGOS WERE THE ONLY VEHICLES RECALLED AND FITTED WITH AN EXTERNAL...
FUEL PUMP REMAINS RUNNING AFTER IGNITION SWITCH IS TURNED OFF. THIS SITUATION HAS BEEN RECALLED IN OTHER CHRYSLER MODELS AND SHOULD BE APPLIED TO THE TOWN & COUNTRY. ANY TIME YOU CANNOT SHUT THE FUEL PUMP OFF YOU HAVE A VERY HAZARDOUS CONDITION. THIS INCIDENT FIRST TOOK PLACE 10/01/2018 AND HAS CONTINUED TO DO SO EVER SINCE. THIS CONDITION APPLIES TO THE TIPM, CHRYSLER DEALER WANTS $ 1200.00 TO FIX.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE ETC WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE APPROXIMATELY FOUR TIMES, BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BY AAA TO AUTONATION CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM HOUSTON (1515 SOUTH LOOP WEST, HOUSTON, TX 77054, 713-489-7825) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP RELAY FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 217,000.
FIRST ISSUE IS THE BACK UP CAMERA AND BLIND SPOT SENSORS QUIT WORKING. VERY COSTLY PRICE TO HAVE FIXED SO CHOSE NOT TO FIX. NOW IT DOESN'T WANT TO START. DID SOME RESEARCH AND IT LOOKS LIKE CHRYSLER HAD SOME RECALLS FOR THE TIPM ON DIFFERENT MAKES FROM 2011, BUT NOT ON THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE. HOW DO THEY KNOW FOR SURE THAT THEY ALL SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN RECALLED. ALSO SIDE PASSENGER DOOR BUZZES WHEN YOU LOCK OR UNLOCK THE VEHICLE. WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CHRYSLER AGAIN. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN ALL THE ISSUES WE HAVE HAD WITH THIS VEHICLE.
FUEL PUMP WILL NOT SHUT OFF, RUNS CONTINUALLY UNTIL BATTERY DIES. THE VEHICLE IS PARKED AND TURNED OFF HOWEVER THE FUEL PUMP CONTINUES TO RUN.
VEHICLE STARTED SOMETIMES BUT NOT OTHER TIMES LEAVING ME STRANDED ALONE ....HAD TO HAVE THE TIPM REPLACED FOR OVER $1500......RESEARCHED ON LINE TO FIND OUT THAT THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR CHRYSLER OWNERS FOR YEARS! BUT IT SEEMS CHRYSLER HAD NOT RECALLED THE VEHICLES
CAR WOULD NOT START WHEN PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY, HAD IT TOWED TO MECHANIC. THEY FIRST SAID THAT THE FUEL PUMP NEEDED REPLACED, THEN AFTER REPLACING THIS PART, THEY STATED THAT THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE ALSO NEEDED REPLACED. AFTER 5 DAYS WITHOUT OUR VEHICLE AND PAYING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, WE ARE FURIOUS. I HAVE BEEN REVIEWING THIS PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE AND IT APPEARS TO BE A PROBLEM FOR MANY, MANY PEOPLE, BUT NOTHING IS BEING DONE BY CHRYSLER. THIS IS THE EXACT ISSUE AS PART OF "SAFETY RECALL R09 / NHTSA 15V-115 FUEL PUMP RELAY". THE TOWN AND COUNTRY WAS EXCLUDED FROM THIS RECALL DESPITE USING THE EXACT SAME PART AND HAVING THE EXACT SAME ISSUES.
CAR WILL NOT START, WILL NOT STAY STARTED, OR SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. OR... THE FUEL PUMP WILL STICK "ON" WHILE THE CAR IS OFF. THIS IS DUE TO THE FAULTY INTEGRATED RELAYS IN THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE FAILING. THIS IS THE EXACT ISSUE AS PART OF "SAFETY RECALL R09 / NHTSA 15V-115 FUEL PUMP RELAY". THE TOWN AND COUNTRY WAS EXCLUDED FROM THIS RECALL DESPITE USING THE EXACT SAME PART AND HAVING THE EXACT SAME ISSUES. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE PROPER PARTS PUT INTO MY CAR FOR SAFETY REASONS. THE DEALER WANTS TO PUT THE FAULTY PARTS BACK INTO THE CAR AFTER CHARGING ME A LOT OF MONEY TO FIX THIS OBVIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED WITH THE OTHERS.
FAULTY FUEL PUMP WIRING SYSTEM THE TIPM IS NO LONGER ALLOWING THE ENGINE TO REALIZE THEIR IS FUEL. IT IS NOT THE FUEL PUMP. THERE ARE SO MANY WEBSITES THAT OFFER THE SERVICE TO RE-MANUFACTURER THE TIPM BECAUSE OF THE ONGOING ISSUES. WHY IS THEIR NOT A RECALL?
