When I park the car, it will not turn off. Gives the message "Action Required Shift to Park" But it gives that message while the car is in park. Originally, when it first started happening two years ago, it could not be reproduced. As such, while it was under warranty the problem could not be reproduced. Now it happens over 80% of the time I stop the vehicle. I mentioned the problem to the dealer but they could not replicate the issue. Eventually, if you move the transmission linkage around enough the error clears and you can turn the car off. But this puts excessive wear on the transmission linkage. And now, its out of its basic warranty. Its clear the problem has happened to many others out there, with far fewer miles than me (51,300 miles). Why isn't the manufacturer being held accountable for this issue?
The car will be shifted in park, but the car does not recognize it. It will show “Shift to Park” and won’t lock while sounding the alert. It’s very bad for the safety for the vehicle
CURRENTLY, THE VOLT WILL BE PARKED AND WILL NOT TURN OFF THE CAR. IT IS DISPLAYING A MESSAGE SHIFT TO THE PARK ISSUE. THIS IS VERY MISLEADING CONSIDERING THE CAR IS ALREADY IN THE PARK MODE AND WILL NOT TURN OFF.
THE VEHICLE DOES NOT RECOGNIZE WHEN PUT IN PARK, GIVES THE ERROR "SHIFT TO PARK" CANNOT TURN VEHICLE OFF AND GOES IN TO ACCESSORY MODE.
WHEN AT REST, I SHIFT INTO PARK AND SUCCESSFULLY PUT THE CAR INTO PARK. THEN, WHEN I TRY AND TURN OFF THE CAR, I GET A MESSAGE TO 'SHIFT TO PARK.' IT DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO TURN OFF THE CAR OR LOCK MY CAR, EVEN THOUGH I KNOW THE CAR IS IN PARK. I HAVE TO TURN ON THE CAR, SHIFT BACK AND FORTH, AND TRY TURNING OFF THE CAR AS WELL. THIS MAY HAVE TO HAPPEN SEVERAL TIMES, 3-4, BEFORE I CAN FINALLY TURN OFF MY CAR COMPLETELY.
AFTER BEING PARKED FOR OVER 24 HOURS, WHEN WE STARTED THE VEHICLE WE GOT A MESSAGE SHIFT TO PARK. THE CAR WOULD NOT GO INTO GEAR AND WAS UNDRIVEABLE. WE TRIED TO CONTACT ONSTAR FROM THE VEHICLE BUT THD CONNECTION KEPT BREAKING UP. WE GOT THROUGH ON OUR CELL AND WERE FORWARDED TO GM. THEY ORDERED ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCECE. WHILE WAITING, WE AGAIN STARTED THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS A BEW MESSAGE INITIALIZING: WAIT TO SHIFT BUT THE CAR DID NOT GO INTO GEAR. WHEN ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE ARRIVED, THEY ALSO TRIED WITHOUT SUCCESS. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO A DEALERSHIP. IN READING VARIOUS FORUMS, IT APPEARS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND A MAJOR REPAIR. I AM CURIOUS AS TO WHY THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL FIR THIS ISSUE?
WHEN I TRY TO TURN OFF THE CAR, I PUT THE SHIFTER IN THE PARK POSITION AND THEN PRESS THE STOP BUTTON TO TURN OFF THE CAR. THE DASH SHOWS THE CAR IN PARK, BUT A MESSAGE SHOWS UP SAYING, "THE CAR NEEDS TO BE IN PARK BEFORE THE CARE CAN BE TURNED OFF". I CAN TRY SEVERAL TIMES AND GET THE SAME MESSAGE (P-D-P-D-P...) THE PROBLEM WAS INTERMITTENT AND THEN CONTINUOUS. THE DEALER REPLACED THE SHIFTER (DESCRIBED AS A KNOWN PROBLEM) AS I WAS CONCERNED THAT I COULD NOT TURN OFF THE CAR IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY (GAS GENERATOR FIRE, ELECTRICAL SHORT, LI BATTERY OVERLOAD, ETC). ALSO, I COULD NOT LOCK THE CAR UNTIL SOME RESET CONDITION OCCURS 10-15 MINUTES LATER.
THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE EVER SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR I TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME IT'S NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY .ANYTIME IM ABOUT TO PARK MY VEHICLE , AND I TURN OFF THE CAR IT STATES ON THE CLUSTER THAT MY CAR ISN'T PUT INTO PARK , WHICH I DO AND IT SHOWS IT'S IN PARK BUT THE CAR TELLS ME TO PLEASE SHIFT IT INTO PARK . THE CAR CANNOT BE SHUT OFF. IT'S A REAL SAFETY HAZARD TO BE UNABLE TO TURN OFF THE CAR BECAUSE THE SYSTEM WON'T RECOGNIZE THE CAR BEING IN PARK . IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SHIFT INTO PARK. NEARLY HAVE TO PUSH HARD TO HAVE THE PARK SETTING ENGAGE. UNABLE TO TURN ENGINE OFF WHEN THIS HAPPENS. ALSO, THE WINDOW WILL NOT GO UP SMOOTHLY. IT GOES UP AND DOWN ALL ON ITS OWN. IT APPEARS TO HAVE A MIND OF ITS OWN. YOU MUST OPEN THE WINDOW ALL THE WAY BEFORE IT WILL CLOSE. CANNOT PREFORM THAT FUNCTION WHEN IT IS ONLY PARTIALLY OPENED.
SHIFT TO PARK ISSUE. IT WILL NOT GO INTO PARK AND ALLOW CAR TO BE TURNED OFF. PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. CHEVY SAYS THIS VIN NUMBER IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY DESPITE FACT IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM.
I AM HAVING A 'SHIFT TO PARK' ISSUE. WHEN I STOP THE CAR AND SHIFT TO PARK, I ATTEMPT TO POWER OFF THE CAR. THE VOLT WILL NOT POWER OFF AND I GET AN ALERT ON THE DASHBOARD THAT STATES "SHIFT CAR TO PARK TO TURN OFF". BUT THE CAR IS ALREADY IN PARK. I AM UNABLE TO LOCK THE CAR AND THE LIGHTS WILL STAY ON FOR A FEW MINUTES. WORSE YET, IT IS INTERMITTENT. AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS AT RE-STARTING AND STOPPING THE CAR IF USUALLY TURNS OFF. MY VOLT HAS ONLY 28K MILES.
THE VEHICLE FAILS TO TURN OFF BECAUSE IT DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THAT IT IS IN PARK.
SINCE PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE IN MID-2020, I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS INCLUDING AGAIN TODAY. I UNDERSTAND THERE IS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN OUT ON THIS ISSUE CURRENTLY.
WHEN THE CAR IS BEING SHIFTED TO PARK, THE SYSTEM GIVES A WARNING TO 'SHIFT CAR TO PARK' IN ORDER TO TURN OFF VEHICLE. SHIFTER IS NOT RESPONDING TO CAR LEAVING THE VEHICLE UNABLE TO BE TURNED OFF.
CAN NOT TURN ENGINE OFF AFTER PARKING THE CAR. THE MESSAGE "ACTION REQUIRED" 'SHIFT TO PARK' SHOWS UP EVEN THOUGH THE CAR IS IN P AND PARKING BREAK IS ALSO APPLIED AND THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY. HAS BEEN HAPPENING EVERYDAY THE PAST WEEK. HAVE TO LEAVE THE CAR UNTIL IT TURNS ITSELF OFF!

MY WIFE AND I WERE TAKING A 200 MILE TRIP. I WAS USING THE "HOLD" MODE, DRIVING AT 65 MPH, AND ABOUT 60 MILES INTO THE TRIP A MESSAGE CAME UP THAT I WAS IN REDUCED POWER MODE AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I PULLED OVER AND READ THE MANUAL AND THEN PROCEEDED ANOTHER 30 MILES USING THE ENGINE. I REDUCED MY SPEED TO 50 MPH. AFTER STOPPING FOR AN HOUR AT OUR DESTINATION, WE STARTED BACK HOME, BUT THE SAME ALERTS WERE ON THE SCREEN. I WENT TO A LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALER, 5 MILES. BEFORE GETTING THERE THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. I HAD 40 MILES OF BATTERY LEFT SO I PROCEEDED THE LAST 2 MILES TO THE DEALER ON BATTERY POWER. THEY COULD NOT SERVICE THE VEHICLE SO I HAD IT TOWED BY AAA 90 MILES TO TULSA. THE DAY BEFORE I LEFT I HAD RECEIVED THE...
CAR WILL INTERMITTENTLY NOT TURN OFF WHEN SHIFTER PLACED IN PARK AND ON / OFF BUTTON PUSHED. MESSAGE ON DISPLAY SCREEN WILL SHOW "SHIFT TO PARK". IT APPEARS THE VEHICLE IS NOT RECOGNIZING THE VEHICLE IS IN PARK. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE 12/10/2020 AND IT HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES THRU TODAY'S DATE 12/23/2020. PRIOR TO STARTING MY 1,100 MI TRIP WITH MY 2017 VOLT PREMIER, I INFLATED THE TIRES, CHECKED FLUIDS, & CHARGED THE CAR. THE MONTHLY DIAGNOSTIC REPORT I RECEIVED THE DAY BEFORE MY DEPARTURE INDICATED NO PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR, WHICH HAD APPROX 40,500 MI. I WAS DRIVING ON INTERSTATES & HIGHWAYS USING HOLD (GAS) MODE, OCCASIONALLY MOUNTAIN MODE. APPROXIMATELY 275 MI. INTO THE TRIP I RECEIVED POWER PROPULSION REDUCED ALERT. AFTER AN ADDITIONAL 50-75 MI I RECEIVED AN ACTION REQUIRED: ENGINE OVERHEATING REDUCE SPEED ALERT. I EXITED THE INTERSTATE AND PROCEEDED TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP TO DETERMINE IF IT WAS SAFE TO CONTINUE ON MY TRIP. I WAS TOLD THAT THE PROPULSION ALERT WAS NOT AN IMMEDIATE CONCERN & THAT THE OVERHEATING WAS LIKELY NOT RELATED. I ALSO RECEIVED A GM DIAGNOSTIC E-MAIL STATING THERE WAS AN EMISSIONS PROBLEM THAT SHOULD BE SERVICED WITHIN 7 DAYS, BUT DID NOT BECOME...
WITH INCREASING FREQUENCY, WHEN I SHIFT TO PARK AND TURN THE CAR OFF IT DOES NOT ALWAYS RECOGNIZE THAT IT IS IN PARK AND DIRECTS "SHIFT TO PARK," DESPITE THE SHIFTER BEING IN PARK, AND WILL NOT COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. THIS COULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE, BECAUSE IT IS UNCLEAR WHETHER THE CAR IS IN PARK OR NOT. ALSO BEING UNABLE TO LOCK THE CAR MEANS THE CAR IS AT RISK FOR VANDALISM AND/OR A CHILD GETTING INTO THE CAR AND TURNING IT ON.
41000 MILES AIRBAG SERVICE LIGHT ON AT ALL TIMES WHEN CAR IS POWERED ON. PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT ON OR OFF STATUS IS TOTALLY DARK, NO INDICATION OF STATUS. DOES NOT MATTER IF A PASSENGER IS IN THE SEAT OF NOT OR IF THE CAR IS MOVING OR NOT.

WHEN I PUT THE CAR IN PARK, IT SAYS "ACTION REQUIRED, SHIFT TO PARK" IT DOESN'T RECOGNIZE THAT IT'S ALREADY IN PARK... IT'S A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE SHIFTER AND THEY HAVEN'T ISSUES A RECALL YET. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY.
INTERMITTENT "SHIFT TO PARK" DURING PARKING PROCESS. THIS PREVENTS VEHICLE FROM BEING TURNED OFF. HAD THE CAR INTO THE DEALER ABOUT A YEAR AGO TO FIX AND THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE. THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE WORSE WHEN IT IS COLD AND IT HAPPENS MORE OFTEN. MULTIPLE ACTUATION OF THE SHIFT RELEASE BUTTON EVENTUALLY CAUSES THE SYSTEM TO SINCE THE SHIFT LEVER IS IN THE PARK POSITION. THE DATE BELOW INDICATES THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED, BUT SINCE OWNING THE CAR, IT'S HAPPENED AT LEAST 5 TIMES A MONTH WITH THIS LAST WEEK BEING AT LEAST ONCE DAILY.
WHEN I PARK MY CAR, I SHIFT IT INTO PARK AND PRESS THE BUTTON TO TURN THE CAR OFF. HOWEVER I THEN GET A MESSAGE ON THE DASH: ACTION REQUIRED SHIFT TO PARK. BUT IT'S ALREADY IN PARK & I CANNOT SHUT OFF THE CAR.

BOTH TIMES I ROLLED DOWN WINDOWS, AND TRIED TURNING THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN TO RESOLVE THIS. AFTER SEVERAL ROUNDS OF THIS, THE CAR DID SHIFT TO DRIVE AND WOULD GO. HOWEVER THE ENGINE IS RUNNING (RATHER THAN ONLY ELECTRIC, AS I USUALLY OPERATE); THE BATTERY GAGE IN CLASSICAL MODE SHOWS A RAPIDLY DECREASING CHARGE, THEN INCREASING, THEN DECREASING - ALSO THE PLACE WHERE IT SHOWS HOW MANY MILES LEFT IN BATTERY IS GREYED OUT AT 0, EVEN THOUGH THE BATTERY MAY APPEAR TO...
PURCHASED A 2107 VOLT PREMIER WITH 40K MILES IN JULY 2020. MY WIFE WAS DRIVING THE CAR AND IT LOST POWER ON THE FREEWAY WITH A "SHIFT TO PARK" WARNING AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. SHE WAS ABLE TO GLIDE OVER TO THE SHOULDER AND I CAME TO RESCUE HER. AFTER REPEATED ON OFF CYCLES I GOT THE CAR TO MOVE A COUPLE OF MILES WITH SEVERAL "JERKING" MOTIONS WHILE DRIVING THEN IT DIED AGAIN AND I LOST POWER BRAKING (WENT TO MANUAL ONLY). THIS TIME I WAS UNABLE TO "RE-BOOT IT" AND HAD ONSTAR HAVE IT TOWED TO A LOCAL CHEVY DEALER WHO HAS A "CERTIFIED EV SPECIALIST"
CAR IS GIVING A MESSAGE SAYING, "ACTION REQUIRED: SHIFT TO PARK, WHEN THE CAR IS IN PARK AND TRYING TO TURN THE CAR OFF. SEARCHING FOR THIS ON THE INTERNET REVEALS THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE CHEVROLET VOLT AND OTHER CHEVROLET MODELS.
AS I WAS DRIVING I RECEIVED A MESSAGE ON THE DRIVER INFO CENTER TO SHIFT IN PARK AND I LOST ACCELERATION WHILE DRIVING. PULLED OFF TO THE SHOULDER CONTACTED ONSTAR TO GET VEHICLE TOWED TO NEARBY DEALER. WAS PUSHED BY TWO POLICE OFFICERS TO GET OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD ON THE TWO LANE HIGHWAY. ONCE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP THE TOW DRIVER SAID I HAVE DRIVE AND REVERSE CAPABILITY AGAIN WHICH I DIDN'T HAVE WHILE PUT ON TOWER. AS I WAS STOPPED ON SIDE OF ROAD MY DRIVER INFO CENTER STATED PROPULSION POWER IS REDUCED SO I COULDN'T DRIVE OR REVERSE. CHECK ENGINE WAS ON THAT NIGHT AND THAT MORNING. AT THE DEALERSHIP, NO CODES COULD BE READ BECAUSE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT AWAY.
CAR WON'T TURN OFF AFTER I SHIFT TO PARK AND DEPRESS THE POWER BUTTON. INSTEAD THE CAR WANTS ME TO SHIFT TO PARK AGAIN. CAR IS STATIONARY.
WHEN TURNING OFF THE CAR BY HITTING THE POWER BUTTON, THE CENTER CONSOLE WILL SAY "ACTION REQUIRED. SHIFT TO PARK." THE CAR WILL NOT TURN OFF UNTIL THE ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED. I AM USUALLY ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH THIS BY PRESSING AND RELEASING THE SHIFT KNOB SEVERAL TIMES AFTER SHIFTING TO PARK. THE ISSUE BEEN HAPPENING MORE AND MORE FREQUENTLY LATELY. I AM AFRAID IT WILL HAPPEN IN A SITUATION WHERE I MAY NEED TO QUICKLY EXIT THE VEHICLE.
AFTER CAR IS SHIFTED TO PARK AND IGNITION SWITCH PUSHED TO TURN CAR OFF, DASHBOARD DISPLAYS MESSAGE 'ACTION REQUIRED SHIFT TO PARK' AND CAR WILL NOT SHUT OFF. REPEATED POWERING CAR ON AND OFF, JIGGLING AND MOVING SHIFTER ALL DO NOT REMEDY THE PROBLEM, AND CAR WILL NOT ALLOW SHUTOFF.

THE HMI (HUMAN MACHINE INTERFACE) MODULE, A PRIMARY COMPONENT OF THE VEHICLE'S IN-CABIN COMPUTER SYSTEM, CAN FAIL IN A 2017 CHEVROLET VOLT WHILE THE CAR IS AT REST OR IN MOTION RESULTING IN THE INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE VEHICLE'S INSTALLED BACK-UP CAMERA. THE 2017 CHEVROLET VOLT HAS VERY POOR REAR VISIBILITY WITHOUT A BACK-UP CAMERA. IF THE DRIVER IS UNABLE TO SEE CLEARLY BEHIND THE VEHICLE, AN ACCIDENT IS MORE LIKELY TO OCCUR.
WHEN I SHIFT TO PARK IT DOES NOT RECOGNIZE IT. THE JUST STAYS ON. I HAVE A SERIOUS "SHIFT TO PARK" ISSUE. IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE JANUARY OF 2020. IT HAS HAPPENED ABOUT 20 TIMES OVER THE PAST 8 MONTHS AND SEEMS TO BE MORE FREQUENTLY.
WHEN SHIFTING TO PARK AND TURNING OFF THE CAR, THE CAR WON'T TURN OFF AND AN ERROR ON DASH DISPLAYS "SHIFT TO PARK". THIS IS A WELL KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE CAR AND DOCUMENTED ON THE INTERNET. CHEVROLET CLAIMS IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY AND REQUIRES A COST TO FIX.

SHIFTER PROBLEM -- WHEN YOU SHIFT TO PARK, CAR DOES NOT RECOGNIZE IT IS IN PARK AND WILL NOT LET YOU TURN CAR OFF. CAR REGISTERS ERROR MESSAGE "YOU MUST SHIFT TO PARK" EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE ALREADY IN PARK.
WHEN THE CAR IS SHIFTED INTO PARK THE CAR WILL NOT RECOGNIZE THAT THE CAR HAS BEEN PUT IN PARK. ONCE THE MESSAGE APPEARS YOU CAN NOT TURN THE CAR OFF AND IT SOMETIMES REQUIRES MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS OF SHIFTING THE CAR INTO DRIVE BACK INTO PARK OVER AND OVER UNTIL THE CAR WILL RECOGNIZE IT IS IN PARK. THE PROBLEM OCCURS RANDOMLY SOMETIMES WITH EVERY CYCLE ON THE ENGINE FOUR TIMES STRAIGHT AND SOMETIMES IT WILL GO THE SAME NUMBER OF CYCLES WITHOUT OCCURRING. I HAVE HAD POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE SINCE APRIL 2020 AND THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED IN AT LEAST 20% OF MY DRIVE CYCLES.
SHIFT TO PARK MESSAGE APPEARS WHEN YOU SHIFT TO PARK AND YOU TURN OFF THE ENGINE. SO EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE IN PARK THE ENGINE WILL NOT TURN OFF. VERY FRUSTRATING!
MUST SHIFT TO PARK; CAR WILL NOT SHUT OFF. ALREADY IN PARK, AND PUSHED VERY HARD TO MAKE ELECTRICAL CONTACT. SHIFT OUT AND BACK TO PARK SEVERAL TIMES TO MAKE CONTACT AND ALLOW CAR TO SHUT OFF. AT FIRST, ONLY ONCE A WEEK, NOW ALMOST EVERY DAY.
VEHICLE WILL NOT TURN OFF WHILE IN PARK AND A 'SHIFT TO PARK' NOTICE IS DISPLAYED. VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE SHIFTED IN AND OUT OF PARK SEVERAL TIMES FOR IT TO REGISTER. HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY. THE MANUFACTURER IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND HAS BULLETIN # 19-NA-206 ISSUED - A RECALL SHOULD BE MANDATORY AS THE VEHICLE CANNOT BE LEFT RUNNING UNATTENDED. IT IS A VIOLATION OF CALIFORNIA VEHICLE CODE 22515(A) NO PERSON DRIVING, OR IN CONTROL OF, OR IN CHARGE OF, A MOTOR VEHICLE SHALL PERMIT IT TO STAND ON ANY HIGHWAY UNATTENDED WITHOUT FIRST EFFECTIVELY SETTING THE BRAKES THEREON AND STOPPING THE MOTOR THEREOF.
I'M GETTING A SHIFT TO PARK ERROR ON MY DISPLAY WHEN I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND TRY TO TURN OFF THE VEHICLE. IT DOESN'T RECOGNIZE THAT THE CAR IS IN PARK, EVEN THOUGH ON THE DISPLAY, IT SHOWS THE CAR IS IN PARK. I'VE GOT TO WIGGLE THE SHIFTER FOR A BIT FOR IT TO RECOGNIZE THE CAR IS IN PARK. LOOKING ON THE INTERNET, THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE 2017 VOLT.
BECM FAILURE. 1) SHIFT INTO PARK MESSAGE DISPLAYED. 2) FAILURE TO CHARGE, ORANGE LIGHT DISPLAYED. 3) SWITCH TO GAS WITH INTERMITTENTLY WITH BATTERY CAPACITY EXISTING. ERRATIC/FLUCTUATING BATTERY LEVELS DISPLAYED. 4) FAILURE TO DRIVE. 5) AC FAILURE.
I AM NOT ABLE TO TURN OFF MY 2017 CHEVY VOLT. I JUST GOT IT USED LAST FALL (2019) AND HAVE HAD IT LESS THAN1 YEAR. WHEN I HIT THE ON/OFF BUTTON MY CAR STATES SHIFT TO PARK ALTHOUGH I AM IN PARK. IT STARTED OUT ONLY HAPPENING HERE AND THERE IN FEB 2020 AND NOW ITS ALMOST EVERY TIME I DRIVE MY CAR. IT'S ONLY GOTTEN WORSE. AFTER YOU POWER OFF YOUR CAR, YOU'LL GET AN ALERT ON YOUR DASHBOARD THAT STATES "ACTION REQUIRED" "SHIFT TO PARK". I HAVE FOUND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ON FORUMS AS SUCH. IN SOME CASES SELF RESOLVES WITH A LITTLE SHAKE IN THE SHIFTER. IN OTHER CASES TAKES A FEW MINUTES TO ENGAGE PROPERLY. THIS IS ON GOING AND SEEMS TO BE INCREASING IN FREQUENCY.
DASH BOARD DISPLAYS 'SHIFT TO PARK' ALTHOUGH THE CAR IS IN PARK ALREADY. THE ENERGY MARKER APPEARS FULL ALTHOUGH 0MILES REMAIN, AFTER 'AFTER SHIFT TO PARK' APPEARS CAR STAYS STATIONARY AND DOES NOT ACCELERATE NOR REVERSE. ENGINE DOES NOT START WHEN THE HOOD IS OPEN AND CAR WILL NOT TURN OFF. THE STEERING WHEEL ALSO LOSES POWER AND DOES NOT MOVE. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AS WELL.
