The component/system that is malfunctioning is coding P-0826. Dealership says replace Transmission.Based on my experience with the vehicle, the transmission is not the main issue. There are symptoms of an electrical issue that is causing the vehicle to lose power, rough shift, stutter and hard shift. This situation began when traveling back from GA to NC. After having stopped at a rest stop, I proceeded to get back on the highway and the vehicle hesitated to accelerate as I merged on to the highway. There were no warming lights, dashboard signaling or anything that happened prior to this to warm of this unsafe issue. With traffic behind me already at speeds of 70mph+, this situation could potentially have caused an accident in which I would have been unable to avoid because the car decelerated, hesitated and did not leave me with anyway to maneuver out of the lane. I fortunately...

The Transfer Case exploded causing the drive shaft to bend and the powering steering line to be damaged and all of the parts listed above need to be replaced. There was a loud explosion while driving and the vehicle no longer drove properly and I was unable to steer the vehicle. The problem was inspected and confirmed by an independent service center. No, it happened out of the blue while driving. The service center could not figure out how something like this could have happened without the car being in an accident or something hitting the transfer case which did not happen. It happened when proceeding from a stopped position while continuing after waiting at a stop light.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated while driving at approximately 35 MPH, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle hesitated before shifting gears. The contact stated that while driving, the vehicle was shuddering. The contact stated that after stopping at a traffic light, the light turned green and the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle hesitated while shifting into gear with a jolt. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed, and it was determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 128,000.

There is definitely something going on with the transmission. This car should not be having transmission problems. The car is not old at all! I was told that the transmission is leaking and I don’t understand why in a car that’s only 7 years old! That’s ridiculous! Also, the airbag is still not completed. I don’t want to have an accident and die because of sharp objects coming out! Everything is a hurry up and wait deal! My.car is very unsafe for me to drive. I run a carpool and I don’t want to hurt the kids.

the transmission on my 2017 chevy traverse began shuddering in August 2023 after our family came back from vacation it usually happens between 2nd and 3rd gear and /or 4th and 5th gear going to 60mph. I had changed the transmission fluid around 60M miles per the manufacturers recommendation. I performed and flush and fill with new dexron VI full synthetic transmission fluid on 10/14/23, after the flush and fill the transmission ran better for about a week but it had gotten worse since then. I constantly worry that the transmission will fail when I am on the road and possibly cause and accident. I don't have another vehicle to use , my next option is to take it to the dealer to see what they can do but based on the reports i have read I know that there is no easy fix. I really would like to have...

My Chevrolet Traverse was purchased in July 2019. At that time, the vehicle had 58667 miles. As I drove the vehicle over the next year and half or so, approaching 80000 miles the vehicle would shudder/shake/jerk as I accelerated and shifted gears. At first it was very random and not predictable. The first two times I had my mechanic try to diagnose the issue, they were not able to feel the car doing what I was describing. The issue got worse and more frequent. I took the car to a transmission repair shop in August 2021 at approximately 120000. At this point, the jerk/shake occurred almost every time I shifted gears when traveling at speeds less than 50mph. I was told that a transmission flush/service would help with the issue temporarily but that many Chevrolet/GM models are known to have faulty transmissions and it would eventually need to be replaced....

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while driving between the 1500 - 2000 RPMs the engine would begin to feel as if it were misfiring. The vehicle would seem to hesitate and jerk whenever accelerating as if there was a delayed throttle response. The vehicle had been taken to the dealer twice at which time the spark plugs and boots had been replaced. Sometime after doing so, while driving approximately 35 MPH there was suddenly grinding noise coming from the front-end. After slowing down to approximately 20 MPH, in response to the grinding noise, the vehicle suddenly jerked then stalled. There were no warning lights. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who diagnosed that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated while driving the vehicle failed to exceed 60 MPH, with the check engine warning light illuminated before the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was towed to the local mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. Additionally, the engine oil pan was faulty causing engine oil to leak from the vehicle. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 12,000.

2017 Chevy Traverse is having shifting issues. It appears to be the torque converter or something to do with the transmission. 70K miles & has shifting issues in all gears even after a GM dealership transmission flush. While merging on the freeway I pressed the gas to speed up & the RPM went up high, but the traverse did not speed up...I was able to avoid a very bad accident.

SOMETIMES WHEN TAKING OFF FROM A START THERE IS A SHUDDER FROM THE TRANSFER CASE AREA OR THE REAR END LIKE THE GEARS AREN'T MATCHING UP AND ARE GRINDING BEFORE THEY FULLY ENGAGE. THIS ALSO HAPPENS SOMETIMES AFTER THE CAR SHIFTS FROM1ST TO 2ND AND SOMETIMES WHEN YOU ARE COMING TO A STOP AND THE LIGHT GOES GREEN AND YOU GIVE IT SOME GAS TO START THROUGH THE LIGHT OR YOU MAKE A TURN AND GIVE IT GAS TO GET UP TO SPEED AFTER YOUR TURN. THE CAR IS ALL WHEEL DRIVE. WE HAD IT AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR A GOOD MONTH, THEY REPLACED REAR END AND CLUTCH PARTS ON THE TRANSFER AREA AND OTHER THINGS. THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT IT WAS THEY ALSO REPROGRAMMED THE TRANSMISSION BECAUSE IT DIDN'T TAKE ALL THE INFORMATION IT SHOULD HAVE. ANY PROBLEMS LIKE THIS YOU KNOW OFF WHAT DO WE DO? THIS HAS...
