2017 CHEVROLET TAHOE Steering Problems

I had no issues that would hint there was an issue with my power steering. I stopped at a drive thru, and when leaving and crossing 4 lanes to get into a lane, my power steering went out in the middle, driving less than 20 mph. I am very lucky that no cars were coming and I was able to pull into a parking lot that was across the street. My 3 kids were in the car when this occurred, and it seems this is a common occurance. This is a safety issue that needs addressed before someone gets killed.

The power steering motor went out while I was driving. The message center on my dashboard alerted me just seconds before I couldn't steer. Luckily I was on a residential street and was able to get out of the road with a lot of effort steering. The car was taken to a local mechanic and we were told the power steering motor went out. The mechanic ordered the part and replaced it. The process took 3 weeks total to get the part, replace it and Chevy dealer reprogramming it.

WHY IS NHTSA ALLOWING SALE OF MILLIONS OF DANGEROUS UNFIXABLE AIRBAG RECALLED SUVS TO BE DRIVEN WHEN THE CONSEQUENCE IS DEATH BY AN ALLOWED LIFE THREATENING PROBLEM IN A MAJORITY OF CARS ON THE ROAD. WHY IS THERE NO PROTECTION OF INNOCENT PEOPLE HERE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE REGARDLESS OF WHAT IS OR ISN'T ALLOWED. EVERY CAR WITH THIS RECALL IS A DEADLY RISK AND NHTSA IS NOT GETTING DEALERS TO STOP SELLING SUCH VEHICLES NOR ARE THEY INVESTIGATING THE MANY DEALERSHIPS THAT ARE HIDING THE ISSUES BY SAYING MULTIPLE DIFFERENT LIES IN THE DESCRIPTION AND HIDING IT IN THE CARFAX BUT KEEPING IT IN THE VIN CHECK. NHTSA HAS A DUTY TO PROTECT US ALL ESPECUU ITI ALLY NOW I'M THUS RARE INSTANCE WHERE EVERY VEHICLE ON THE ROAD IS A DEATH SENTENCE BY THE VERY SAFETY DEVICE MEANT TO PROTECT , THE AIRBAGS, WHICH IS ONE THING IF DOES...
