I am writing to express my serious concern and frustration regarding the unresolved recall on my 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 (VIN: [XXX] ). Despite multiple visits to multiple dealerships, I was repeatedly told that the necessary parts to complete the recall repair were on back order and instructed to “wait for parts.” No interim solution or assistance was ever offered. As a result of this delay, my vehicle broke down without warning, leaving me stranded on the side of the road. This created a hazardous situation and significant disruption to my day. To make matters worse, I had to pay out of pocket to have the truck towed to a repair shop in an effort to get it operational—an expense I should never have incurred given the known recall and repeated attempts to have the issue corrected by Chevrolet. I have been a loyal Chevrolet owner and have always trusted...

I was driving on Interstate 75 in Ohio when the engine suddenly overheated and completely locked up we were pulling my travel trailer camper at the time which we ended up getting off of an overpass and blocking traffic for several hours until we got the vehicles moved Chevrolet did eventually replace the motor and the entire cooling system with what they claim is a new motor in October of 2024, and within the last couple of days I have noticed a smell coming from the engine compartment that was reminiscent about the smell when it locked up I'm afraid they stuck another motor in my truck that has the same exact issues and once it goes out of warranty I'm going to be stuck with another broke down truck

In 2024, I noticed that my truck was experiencing rough shifts. It felt as if the back wheels were jerking over uneven ground, even though the vehicle was on a flat surface. In November 2024, my sister sent me an article about General Motors' massive recall due to rear wheel lock-up, which increased the risk of crashes. I contacted GM and learned that my truck was part of the recall. I reported the issues my truck was exhibiting, and GM instructed me to reach out to my dealer about the problem. However, I was informed that they did not have the parts to fix the issue and had no idea when they would receive them. I asked GM if they would provide me with a rental vehicle, but they declined, stating that if they offered a rental to me, they would have to provide one for others as well, which...

We just arrived to our out to town destination and exited the vehicle. We drove 80 miles to get there. The truck was running when we noticed white smoke coming from under the hood then immediately large red flames.

The DEF heater/tank shorted out. The DEF system has thrown a code 3 times in the little over a year I’ve owned the truck. This final time I was told that the tank needs to be replaced. The truck has now been in the shop for 2 months and there is still no ship date on the replacement tank. The tanks are on a national back order. From what I understand there are about 9,000 people waiting for this DEF tank countrywide. I now have a $60k work truck that I am paying for but cannot use with no reasonable end in sight.

AFTER OWNING THE BRAND NEW TRUCK FOR LESS THAN 24 HOURS (APPROXIMATELY 170 MILES ON THE ODOMETER OF THE VEHICLE), I WAS DRIVING IN A STRAIGHT LINE ON A 2 LANE HIGHWAY AT APPROX. 50-55MPH. MY FOOT WAS LIGHTLY ON THE ACCELERATOR, MAINTAINING SPEED, AS I HAD JUST PASSED THROUGH A TRAFFIC CIRCLE ABOUT A MILE PRIOR, AND WAS IN A SMALL LINE OF "TRAFFIC" TRAVELLING ON THE ROAD. THE REAR WHEELS BEGAN TO LIGHTLY SHAKE (IT FELT SIMILAR TO DRIVING ON RUMBLE STRIPS) FOR APPROXIMATELY 3-5 SECONDS, THEN SEVERAL WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASH LIT UP AND THE TRUCK VIOLENTLY "JERKED" THEN PULLED AND DRIFTED ONTO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD, ONTO THE SHOULDER. THE TRUCK THEN SPUTTERED AND STALLED. I DID NOT ATTEMPT TO RESTART OR MOVE THE VEHICLE, INSTEAD WORKED WITH THE DEALERSHIP TO OBTAIN A TOW TRUCK.
