Had a recall repaired yet it still randomly my brake lamps still don’t function correctly
I've been trying to fix the car I've put alternator new starter wires everything you can think of new fuses and the esc light burnt out 2 brand new battery's I've lost my job because it's unfixable almost killed after the power steering went out because of what's going on with this problem I can't fix it I've spent over 1000 trying to find the problem.

When the brake pedal was released, the lights returned to normal functionality. The contact also stated that the cruise control failed to engage as needed. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, and it was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V252000 (Electrical System, Exterior Lighting, Vehicle Speed Control, Electronic Stability Control (ESC). The contact stated that the failure recurred after the repair. The dealer informed the contact the recall repair was a one-time free repair. The manufacturer was contacted and informed the contact that the vehicle was no longer covered under the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.
My car is having issues driving over 60miles per hr, I have to keep pressing the gas to get the car to move, the car battery is dead and won’t turn on, I got the car repaired twice and the second time I got it repaired, it just was even worse then before . The car smells like gas , the salesman only told me that I needed a value cover gasket and he had someone repair it , but when I went to auto zone , it was still cracked, I have a oil leak and my car eats up gas.
Bought a 2009 Malibu (2.4 engine with electric power steering) a few weeks ago. Pulled into my driveway today and the power steering goes out and the traction control light comes on and service ESC message comes across the message center. Turn the car off and back on and the light goes out, power steering comes back for a second then the light trips again and it's out again as soon as I turn the wheel. It’s absolutely insane and I can’t even drive it half the time. I’m a nurse and a mother of two. This is the same recall in many of the same year and vehicle type, and we have snow. Severe snow. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to a dealer to be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V252000 (Electrical System, Exterior Lighting, Vehicle Speed Control, Electronic Stability Control). The contact stated that after the repair, the failure persisted. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer where the starter and PCV hose were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided a case number. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 104,000.
As I drive on highway and go a certain speed it slows down and engine power reduced and service traction pops up on my dashboard if cut it off it will not crank back up until I let the car cool down

Occassionally and unpredictably, the service ESC, power steering, traction control and anti theft light come on and the car goes on limp mode, unable to shift past first gear. Also power locks do not work (all four doors) and tire pressure sensor is on and service tire sensor pressure light is on all the time. Took car to an independant mechanic who stated that when using his diagnostic tool, no code or fault indicated for ESC, power steering, traction control or anti theft device. It should be noted that these reset themselves when car is turned off and then go back on unpredictably, once you start driving the car. This mechanic then tried fixing the powerlocks, and stated that after replacing two of the powerlocks, he realized that they still did not work. MY STEERING WHEEL AGGRESSIVELY SHAKES WHEN I'M IN PARK, AT SLOW SPEEDS AND AT HIGHER SPEEDS. THE 'ESC OFF' DISPLAYS ON THE DASH AND I LOSE POWER STEERING. THIS USE TO HAPPEN RARELY, BUT NOW IT IS ALMOST EVERY TIME I START MY VEHICLE. EVEN WHEN I'M ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE WITHOUT THIS WARNING DISPLAYING, IT IS STILL VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE AT ANY SPEED DUE TO THE SHAKING. THIS STARTED 3 YEARS AGO AND HAS GOTTEN PROGRESSIVELY WORSE SINCE.

WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION THE DASH WILL DISPLAY THE TRACTION CONTROL SERVICE LIGHT AND THE SCREEN WILL READ SERVICE TRACTION SERVICE ESC, THE BRAKE LIGHTS ILLUMINATE WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS NOT PUSHED AND TURN OFF WHEN IT IS PUSHED. THE CRUISE CONTROL ALSO CAN NOT BE ENGAGED. THE BRAKE SWITCH WAS REPLAYED HOWEVER ALL PROBLEMS CAME BACK 2 WEEKS LATER. ALL THESE ISSUES HAVE BEEN ON GOING.

I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE FROM DAY ONE. I FILED A REPORT PREVIOUSLY AND I AM FILING ANOTHER ONE IN REFERENCE TO MY POWER TRANSMISSION. I HAVE A 2009 CHEVY MALIBU, 4 SPEED, AUTOMATIC. I WAS DRIVING AND THE VEHICLE DOWNSHIFTED ITSELF WITHOUT MY DOING ANYTHING, ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO HIGH GEAR. SOMETHING POPPED IN THE VEHICLE AND THE GEAR SHIFTED FOR A LITTLE BIT AND WORKED AND THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I THINK THE SHIFTING CABLE MAY HAVE FRACTURED OR SEPARATED. THIS WAS VERY NERVE WRACKING, BECAUSE IT WAS IN THE LATE EVENING HOURS AND TRAFFIC WAS EXTREMELY HEAVY. NOW IT IS SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY.

WHILE IN MOTION GOING TO FL ON RT 95 MY SPEED CONTROL STOPPED WORKING, WHAT I DIDN'T KNOW UNTIL I GOT TO FL. THAT MY BREAK LIGHTS WERE ON ALL THE TIME AND WHEN I WOULD HIT THE BREAKS THEY WOULD GO OFF AND THEN COME BACK ON. I TOOK THE CAR TO A DEALER IN FL AND THEY COULD NOT DUBLACATE THE PROBLEM. I KNOW THERE WERE RECALLS ABOUT THE BCM AND DID RECEIVE OTHER LETTERS THAT IF A BREAK LIGHT PROBLEM LIKE ABOVE WOULD HAPPEN TO TAKE IT TO A DEALER. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. SENT REINVERSMENT PAPERS TOCHEV. BUT THEY SENT ME S LETTER TELLING ME THEY WOULD NOT PAY FOR REPAIRS.

FIRST, I WENT AND DIAGNOSED IT AT A REPAIR SHOP AND IT TOLD ME THE BRAKE POSITION SENSOR NEEDED TO BE CALIBRATED. AFTER THAT WAS FIXED, THE PROBLEMS OCCURRED AGAIN AND REPLACED THE SENSOR. AFTER THE SECOND TIME, THE PROBLEM WAS STILL NOT FIXED. AFTER GOING TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP AND GETTING THE CONCERN FIXED, IT IS STILL NOT FIXED.

AFTER A FEW MONTHS THE IDENTICAL SYMPTOMS OCCUR AT THE SAME FREQUENCY. NO NEW SYMPTOMS ARE PRESENT AND NO PREVIOUS SYMPTOMS ARE ABSENT. THESE INCLUDE; BRAKE LIGHTS ILLUMINATING WITH NO PRESSURE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, BRAKE LIGHTS TURNING OFF WHEN PRESSURE IS APPLIED TO BRAKE PEDAL (INCLUDING HOLDING THE BRAKES AT A STOP), CRUISE CONTROL FAILING TO ACTIVATE, TRACTION CONTROL TURNING OFF, ESC TURNING OFF, AND VEHICLE GEARING DOWN (AS LOW AS 3RD GEAR AT 60 MPH BEFORE INTERVENTION) TO ASSIST BY ENGINE BRAKING. IN DECEMBER OF 2014, A CHEVROLET DEALER PERFORMED REPAIRS TO ADDRESS NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V252000 (I HAD NOT EXPERIENCED ANY PROBLEMS RELATED TO THIS ISSUE AT THE TIME). RECENTLY I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THE SYMPTOMS RELATED TO THIS RECALL, INCLUDING THE "SERVICE ESC" AND "SERVICE TRACTION" MESSAGES, THE BRAKE PEDAL REQUIRING EXTRA PRESSURE TO GET THE VEHICLE OUT OF PARK, AND THE DISABLING OF CRUISE CONTROL. I HAVE NOT HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHECK IF THE BRAKE LIGHTS ALSO EXHIBIT THE PROBLEM DESCRIBED IN THE RECALL. THE PROBLEM HAS TRIGGERED WHILE I'M BRAKING, AS WELL AS WHEN I WAS AT HIGHWAY SPEED WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED, WITHOUT APPLYING THE BRAKES.

AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE MADE, THE CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER. HOWEVER, THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. GM INFORMED THE CONSUMER, THE REPAIRS WERE NOT COVERED BY THE RECALL. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR AT ANY SPEED THE VEHICLE WILL ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN AND THE RPM WILL INCREASE TO 4 OR HIGHER AS IF I AM SMASHING THE GAS. DURING THIS TIME OF THE RPM FLUCTUATION YOU CAN HEAR THE ENGINE SOUND LOUDER AND FEEL THE ACCELERATION ALMOST LIKE A JOLT.
