NHTSA Complaint #11718768 — 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that the 4WD feature failed to operate with the “Service 4WD” message displayed with an audible chime. The vehicle was initially taken to a dealer and was diagnosed with a defective PTU. The contact was provided an estimate for the repair, but the contact declined to repair the vehicle. The contact then received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V011000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was provided with a case number. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
