The check engine warning light was illuminated. The failure had occurred on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.
