NHTSA Complaint #11711448 — 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V011000 (Power Train). The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the vehicle jerked and hesitated, but the engine continued to rev, and the RPM was very elevated. The contact stated that during the 6th failure, the check engine warning light illuminated for several seconds and then disappeared. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but the failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but the part for the recall repair was not yet available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000.
