NHTSA Complaint #11707767 — 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN

The contact owns a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed that there was an unusually loud buzzing sound coming from the front driver's side door. The contact stated that the failure occurred while the key was in the ignition switch. In addition, the rear door failed to latch and to close securely. The contact stated that the failure initially occurred intermittently but had become persistent. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the contact was informed that there were no open recalls associated with the VIN. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact referenced an unknown recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 74,000.
